Best part of our SSR stay- a SNAKE!

2 years ago while at the BWV ground floor villa, our door was open when we got back to our room one night(lock was broke) I had my DH check the whole place for snakes, (He thought I was nuts!!)

Next time I asked for anything but ground floor too.

:rotfl: Okay - I found my picture - here's DD's lizard at CRT. The first time we took her to WDW all she wanted to do was catch lizards.

That's priceless!!! :goodvibes

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: <---- me if I saw a snake!

Me Too!
This past May a CM had a 'keep walking' through the gardens in England where a nice big black snake was making himself right at home.

I didn't walk... I RAN!

Snakes would be a new one...

My kids think SSR is wild kingdom!!!

last year we had a first floor room, they would be in their PJ's eating their breakfast on the patio, and trying to catch lizzards, slugs and feeding the ducks that came by every morning, then we HAD TO walk over the foot bridge so they could feed the turtles and fish..

A $3000.00 vacation and all the kids talk about is the animals, and not the ones at AK!!!!!!!

I've seen a number of snakes at WDW, but all of them have been on the golf course. DW and I saw a really big black snake on the Oak Trail course one morning. We have also seen one on the 7th fairway on the Palm golf course. This one was smaller and was a yellowish color. One year we ran into one on the 17th tee box at the Palm. He was playing from the Pro tees and I think he had a 9 degree driver in hand. He was actually sitting up with his head about 5 or 6 inches in the air. My brother thought he was sleeping or dead until he (my brother) beat the head of his driver on the ground and the snake turned his head. Needless to say we did not use the Pro tees and my drive off of the regular tees was rather shakey. To quote a movie, "snakes, why did it have to be snakes!"

After a heavy rain, DH told me that many of the golf courses at WDW have a sign up-"Snake warning"-he's been told that all the water "flushes" them out of their holes. And he wonders why I don't golf.:scared1:

Gee, SSR didn't try to charge extra for the "wildlife fun"? (Sorry, been watching Chevy Chase in "Vacation" too much)
