Bee-line to SDMT

If you're there on a day when MK is open late (after 11:00 PM), I would wait to get in line as late in the night as allowed. The crowds in Fantasyland are smaller late at night than they are at rope drop.

My DD17 was never interested in face characters. When I was reading all about the Anna & Elsa chaos, I had been thinking I was so lucky that I did not have to deal with it until my daughter asked me one day, "is there meet and greet with Anna and Elsa at Disney World? I am so going to meet them!" What?! Now I am in A&E panic mode until I get that FP+ once my booking window opens right at 12 midnight!! Get that FP+ if you almighty can!

:scared1: I wish that we would of had a chance of getting a better time on our SDMT fastpass. We barely had a chance because we didnt know when they were coming out. It just popped up one day and everyone scambled !

Take multiple routes and catch up in line with the family member that gets there first.

Sounds good but I am not that brave! I worry too much about people being mad at me - haha! I don't want to start a fight at the Happiest Place on Earth!

I've booked an 8am ADR at Cindy's for May 28th so am hoping to be ahead of the crowd!!!! If not we've got a 9.20am FP+ but I'm hoping for a turn before that.

I have tried to get a resi for the Crystal Palace but it's all booked up! I will keep trying, including calling :badpc:

Keep checking for FP+ for SDMT because they were all gone for the first few opening days and as of right now (just before midnight Sunday) there is FP+ available on May 29. I realize that this doesn't help OP because those aren't your dates, but it does mean that either people are cancelling or Disney is adding passes. I know these weren't available on Friday when I checked for a friend, but we were able to get her passes today for 29th....and in checking just now they are still available.

I have been checking :thumbsup2: At first, SDMT was greyed out. Now it's just not there (at least when I am looking). I will keep trying!

I bet with as popular as this new ride is going to be, Disney likely will be releasing more fast passes. With as quickly as they went the first day, my guess is that they likely withheld some FPs so that guests that weren't able to initially access the program were still able to participate, too.

I sure hope so!!

I just did RD at MK last week. We were headed for Space Mt. but everyone headed to Fantasyland was kept in check behind a rope all the way until Fantasyland. I imagine this was for Anna and Elsa. Those going to Adventureland or Tomorrowland were allowed to break away at their respective bridge, but were met by another group of CMs with a rope. I would think there would be something to prevent you from going the Mad Tea Party route, so to be safe, I would stick with the Fantasyland crowd. There is nothing worse than having a route you planned for blocked and then holding you up getting to your destination. I also think that if you are among the first at that rope your wait won't be astronomical. Try not to stress and get there as early as you can. I suggest two hours prior to opening, that's what I did all week and was always the first on rides.

Sounds like a plan! :thumbsup2:

I would imagine it being just the opposite. Disney is not going to want one mass of people all going through the castle. My prediction: On the way down Main Street, people will be told that if they are going to the Mine Train, they should follow the CMs with the rope on the right, and they will cross the northeast spoke toward the Mad Tea Party. People who are heading toward A&E will be told to follow the rope in the middle, and they will be led through the castle. Having both the Mine Train crowd and the A&E crowd stay together all the way to and through FL would be the absolute worst idea imaginable.

I will be asking to make sure we are in the correct "line". Getting there at rope drop & waiting has got to be better than not (ie: 30 min - 1 hr vs. 2-3 hr + waits?!). I hope it doesn't get that bad! I will also monitor the times after it opens to see what I am up against :surfweb:

I plan on doing this as well. MK is open until 3 am so I would imagine that the lines will decrease at it gets later! Hopefully I can get a 4th FP+ for it for late though! Geez! :yay:

Assuming the line for 7DMT is going to be monitored like Anna & Elsa, you won't be able to do this anyway. At Fairytale Hall your entire family must get in line together - you are NOT able to split up and reunite later on in line. And yes, they are strict about this!

Well, we are back from our trip & I have to say that getting a reservation for breakfast is the best idea. They were all snatched up so I couldn't get one. We arrived at 7:30 for 9:00 park open & were some of the very first in line. We got all the way back to 7DMT BUT THE RIDE WAS DOWN!!! The CM's kept coming around to tell us that they didn't know when the ride would be back up... I waited in line while the hubby & kids rode some other rides but it was wasting time for our family fun so I got out of line to join them.

We tried again later but the youngest had a HA & was starting to have a melt down because he "was not thirsty!" LOL (I am an NP & I do not know anything - gotta love that!). We left to go back to the resort for a rest & swim.

We were able to get on after a little over an hour wait during wishes! The interactive que was fun but I would have liked to see it during the daytime. We timed it just right that the fireworks started as we got off the ride & could be viewed over Snow White & 7 Dwarves cottage - magical!

I did keep trying to get a FP+ but to no avail!

Thanks for everyone's ideas though!

We are also just back ! We rode it SDMT 3 times on different nights by getting in line 15 minutes before closing the wait said 60 however it was really around 25 to 30. Lesson here is just like TSMania at Hollywood the wait time are overly rated at closing for SDMT.
