Anyone like Tony's for lunch?

I've read lots of bad reviews of Tony's for being overpriced and blah for dinner--esp. for spaghetti! But, looking at the lunch menu, it doesn't look so bad. Any recommendations? Or is it just as bad at lunch as at dinner?

I ate here for lunch with my family and found it peaceful and charming. The CM's were nice, the themeing wasn't "hit-you-over-the-head" and the meal was good. With crystal palace for breakfast and cinderella's for dinner - this location gets my vote for lunch (although I still have to try the Plaza again - haven't been since I was little).

I have heard it is much better for lunch than it is for dinner. We are doing a late lunch there this trip.

We love Tony's for lunch. The lunch prices are reasonable and the food is decent. On our last trip, we particularly enjoyed the Grilled Vegetable Panini and Mushroom Soup.

Apparently one of my college friends works there now, so we're going to go check it out for lunch next month.

The menu for dinner looks interesting as well, but the pre-holiday budget is restricting us to lunches only!

I had lunch there a few years back, and it was nice. Nothing elaborate- pizza and salad- but it was fresh and tasty. Definitely a step above the counter service pizza.

This is what happened to us as well. My sister and her husband tok me into the resturant above it's a small world (pinocchio's?) - picture it - noon - one million small children run amock - me sick in a wheelchair at the time. I said "if you love me - if you ever loved me, PLEASE let's go somewhere else! ANYWHERE else!!!"

At our table the kids had pizza while others had a chicken parm sandwich and another type of chicken sandwhich. All was eaten and enjoyed. It was our last day in the park and we wanted something quiet which it was. We gave Tony's an "A" for food and theming.

Love, love, love Tony's! WE happened in the there first time to get out of the rain and just have to keep going back. Love the atmosphere, and especially sitting out on the balcony watching the rest of the World go by! We had a really great waiter the first time, too, who probably helped color my perspective more than anything, and I think the menu's changed since then, but I haven't been disappointed yet. Hope you like it!

If you do go, and you collect character autographs, be sure to ask your server to take your books (or whatever) back to the kitchen. Lady and Tramp will leave their paw prints and you will get Tony's signature. It is really nice and it doesn't seem like a lot of people know to ask.

P.S. I thought the pasta was very good.

Have an ADR for dinner, any comments about the dinners? Had scheduled Cinderella's but then the "CHANGES" happened so that was that. Have already experienced Liberty Tree and Crystal Palace and the Plaza doesn't seem like a good place to use our TS credits. What can you recommend for dinner?

For some reason, Tony's always gets a bad rap. Honestly, we've been there probably about 8 times (both lunch and dinner) and have never had a bad meal. Now, if you're expecting top-notch authentic Italian cuisine, then you'll be disappointed. But, if you're looking for a very good meal with a fun, Disney-themed setting, then Tony's will definitely make you happy.

In fact, one of my all-time favorite Disney meals was at Tony's. We were lucky enough to get a table on the "porch" and enjoy dinner as the parade went by. Ahhhh.......what a great day that was

We've eaten at Tony's for lunch the last 3 trips and have it booked for our upcoming trip. We always love it for lunch, while we have never tried it for dinner, it's always a nice relaxing meal at the MK.

We made a late lunch reservation the last time we ate there (May), asked to sit on the patio and had the perfect spot to watch the afternoon parade from. Just a thought!!

In all the times that we have visited MK (40+ for myself) we have never had a meal at Tony's. Well, due to circumstances beyond our control (last minute decision to spend Thanksgiving at WDW) we had to settle (Tony's was not our first choice) to have Thanksgiving lunch at Tony's.

We are looking forward to a good experience!

We're going May 2006 and we've never eaten at Tony's but after reading this thread--we're going to try it for lunch!! I'm EXCITED!!!! I have to wait until tomorrow though because then I will be 180 days out and I can make all my ADRs!!!
