Anyone in December getting FP+ and MB

Quick question that I am sure has been covered by now but it's really hard to read back through the thread.
I have 8 day tickets, 7 nights at Wilderness lodge and magicbands all set.
Our very last night we are staying at AoA. Do I get new bands? If so are my tickets moved over (I'll still have a day left) or do I use the previous bands to get in the park that last day?

Is your party ticket linked? That could be why. I don't know honestly. It might let you, it might let you go through the process then tell you that you can't. That's a good one.

This That is why CMs have been warning people not to link party tickets to MB because there have been problems with system identifying what you are using (defaults to MYW ticket) and people get shorted a day.

Nope, the xmas party is not linked....I was told by a cm and my travel agent that they do not want you to link you party tickets - you must take your ticket/cards with you.

I can make my selections....I'm just worried that if I do and keep them and use them that one of my later days fp might be wiped out when I'm there I know I'm just being greedy... and I know I need to do the right thing but if it is giving me a freebe I don't want to loose out

Bands are interchangeable. Doesn't matter which one you use.

It won't make new selections for you if it thinks you don't have a valid ticket. So if it's letting you, I would make them. You have a MVMCP ticket that day so it's not like you're doing something you shouldn't be, right? Or am I missing something.

Well, they are going to send them to you regardless. It's just what Disney is doing during the testing process. So yes, I would customize them otherwise, you'll still get them but they'll be gray. Pick a different color this time and accessorize!

Thanks again. I might as well. They won't ship to Canada but they'll be waiting for us at check in at AoA so I will customize them.

actually i dont really care all that much about seeing their tickets, as long as I know i can book and change their fastpasses then life is good!

If you mutual friend the kids under her you will not see their ticket but once I did that I could make fastpasses for everyone without having to copy all at one time. It just saves a step in the long run. I verified with disney IT that with the kids you will not see the tickets if another parent controls them but by being a mutual friend and having them under your friends and family list you will be able to do fastpasses for everyone as long as they have a ticket under the controlling parent and a resort reservation. Once you are there mutual friend they will come into your family and friends list and will say controlled by so and so next to them.

This linking accounts thing is incredibly frustrating! I think every time you add a new guest or even just try to it resets your privacy to share nothing. It's been so hard for my friend & I to try to figure this all out long distance. My friends DD's ticket isn't linked correctly so no fast passes for her. I'm trying to get my friend to call IS to straighten it out.

I did make some fast passes for friend, me & my DD so we can copy to her DD if she straightens out her ticket. How do I do the copy?

Go under the Friends and Family list. Have your wife go to your profile under her account and the option should be there.

You do the same. Her profile under your account.

ETA… As long as you two are linked then make the FP+ for you and her, then have her go into her account and copy the reservations to the kids. Or whoever's account the kids are under.

thanks - that setting is setting for both my wife and I- we can both see each other and our tickets. I however can only see my kids but NOT their tickets.

However it's just a display bug becasue i can make fastpass+ for them no problem at all.

Just add that to the pile they need to update.

this is 100% accurate. There's a display issue with the kids tickets but i can make FP+ just fine. thanks!

I just found that we have Fastpass + and MB for our stay Dec 19-23rd I am kind of sad I was hopeing they would not have the system going during the Christmas Holiday time, now it is just more stuff to figure out for our trip.

Sorry to bring this up again, but I want to absolutely certain I'm not messing up my MB-attached tickets. The issue is that I have extra park tickets already attached to my MB that we will NOT be using this trip (yeah, I now realize I shouldn't have done that, lol). Can someone confirm that using ONLY your MVMCP tickets to enter MK, you are still allowed to use FP+ from 4-7? And that this will not somehow activate my unused park passes attached to my MB?

Yup! My Magic Bands just showed up on the MDE app today and I already did FP+ for the first day so far.

they are going to give you another set of bands for AoA but you dont have to use them. the first set wll be fine.

They are reporting that Josh on Easy WDW has said that as of today or tomorrow guests with FP+ won't be given a KTTW card to get old school FP+. Even though I ordered the Magic Bands I may not do FP+ for my Christmas week trip--60 day window is this weekend...

Any thoughts from others...

There is another thread here on the DIS about this and so far no one has confirmed this report. It was based on one client whose card didn't work.

However, I'm keeping my ears open since we are going the first week of December!

yes--I read the thread first and then posted here--but the thread I read specifically quoted Josh on his Easy WDW blog--by no means "official" word, but that didn't sound like just hearsay to me.

Also wanted to post it here because of the timing--we're all discussing just setting up (or about to set up) FP+ times and I wondered if this would change anyone's mind.....I will be at 60 day soon and am trying to figure out what to do...
