Anyone in December getting FP+ and MB

This is the problem they are reporting. That if you have MYW tix and MVMCP tix, that somehow it's getting screwed up and using your MYW ticket instead of the party ticket. I would bring your party ticket with you and just have them scan that upon entry. I wouldn't take the chance that it might use one of your other tix because then you'll have another whole issue to sort out.

I plan on bringing my hard ticket that night and using that.

ETA... I would also call IT. I have been told (don't know if accurate) that a CM can prioritize your tickets in order you want them used. If you have multiples on there, might be a good idea.

yes--I read the thread first and then posted here--but the thread I read specifically quoted Josh on his Easy WDW blog--by no means "official" word, but that didn't sound like just hearsay to me.

Also wanted to post it here because of the timing--we're all discussing just setting up (or about to set up) FP+ times and I wondered if this would change anyone's mind.....I will be at 60 day soon and am trying to figure out what to do...

Yes, it was on Josh's blog. But I guess he got his information from one client whose key didn't work.

I have no first hand knowledge, though. It is all based on what I am reading.

Robo has already advised to use the plastic Party ticket instead of your Magic Band. The Magic Band system automatically deducts a regular ticket rather than a special event ticket.

Using the plastic Party doesn't affect any tickets linked to the Magic Band.

I agree with just bringing your party tickets and using those to get into the park. We went to MNNSHP in September, and I had linked the party tickets to our Magic Bands. We just used the physical ticket to get into the party, not the magic Band, and everything was fine. Personally, I like having the tickets linked to my account, just in case something happens and I lose the physical ticket.

This won't happen - IT already said we would still get keycards as December is still a test period.

The old FP system won't be replaced until the switch is completely done to FP+ and allow non resort guests the opportunity to get magic bands or RFID tickets.

And it's easy - I can go in and say I don't want bands cause they make me itch - issue me an RFID KTTW. That will then work on old FP system.

Ok - So with the posted instructions earlier about using Fast Picks, I'm able to select FP+ for our Dec 22 trip - this is working on the iPad APP (haven't tried iPhone). But:

* There's no way to select a park
* You select priorities, but cannot select the actual rides
* You can change the times, but can't seem to be able to change the rides * NM - I figured out how to change the rides....
* No options for parades and such it seems.

Finally, when you go out and select the option to see FP+, it stills shows nothing available. If you do add it to My Plans, they will show however...

I am at 61 days, so I might as well wait one more day.

What sucks is the app - can't figure out how to properly scroll the different attractions to make a selection - it insists on giving more details instead of selecting it.... argh...

Once you get your tickets, link them to MDE and then you can choose Fp+, although choices may be limited! it's better than going into the parks without anything. Good luck!

We will be there in December, but we are NOT doing the FP+ or the MB's. Too much stress. Too much planning. And my MDE account is all messed up - I had like 8 accounts for each of my kids, so it looked like I had 32 people in my family and I couldn't delete them because some had ADR's attached to them - I wish I had never even started the MDE account! Even the IT people can't seem to fix it! My ADR's are all made and that is really all I care about. Only 43 days to go!!

Thanks Ill do that. Honestly - we only go during slower times, and usually get FP to be greedy and ride a few things multiple times. There's a good chance We will be able to do everything with no FP, but theyre always nice to have.

We are five with three of us duplicated just once. But they fixed it enough that the extras don't show as part of the reservation nor MB customization. The extras showed as not available for customizing MBs.

And thru the backdoor method posted earlier for FP+, they are not showing either.

They do show in the BOG FP+ system. But dates for that have not opened yet. Also there there is no way to select some guests. Seems to be all or nothing...
