Anyone in December getting FP+ and MB

We arrive 12-27 and no luck yet either...

I booked them for 12-25. But is via the Fast Pick option available on the mobile app. Problem with that is you cannot select the park. I have some days but not others as it always offers the same parks for the same day and no way to change it.

I'm one day away so tomorrow it should be fine...

OK, I'm so confused trying to get all this info down that my head hurts! :headache: I would appreciate answers to some very basic questions, I apologize if they've been asked before! My sister and I are going Home from Dec 3 - Dec 17, and we have airline and resort ressies, park tickets, and ME all booked through AAA. We also have our ADR's, MVMCP tix and CP all booked. I'm very nervous about this whole MB, FP+ situation as everyone seems to be having mixed experiences with it.
My first question is this - Do I HAVE to set up an MDE account? (if I don't plan on using MBs or FP+)
2. Does my sister need a separate account?
3. I'm getting the impression that we will get KTTW cards as well as MB when we check in, will both of them have all of our resort, ticket info and ADR's? It sounds as though people are losing reservations and information when they are setting up the MDE account, but will it all be programmed into the card as well? (with or without MDE)
I do not have a smart phone (and therefore the app is no good to me) and I'm not taking my computer. It will be difficult to schedule FP in advance due to medical issues. Is there any other advantage to using the MBs?
4. If I go ahead and set up an MDE account and get just 2 or 3 FP+, can I then use the KTTW card for everything else?
And lastly - Am I more likely to get my room requests filled from online check- in or check-in on arrival?

Sorry to be asking so many questions, but any amount of guidance will be greatly appreciated!

I cant even make fp+ selections cuz were not buying tickets until check in. Guess we aint getting any at all. Boo hiss.

On the Wilderness Lodge thread someone posted that they are there now and the paper fp are pretty much gone the first couple hours of the day...they were thankful that they had there mb and fp selections or they would not be riding any of the headliners...just fyi...

Has anyone been able to get fastpass+ for Be Our Guest Lunch or Main Street Electric Parade for December yet?

Today is my 60 days out. My dates are 12/21 - 12/28 I just made FP+ times up till 12/25. It is not letting me do any for 12/26 - 12/28. Anyone know why?

I'm having a similar problem. Could you tell me how you resolved this (per your follow up post)?

I feel out of it so we are going Dec. 15-20 or so... hoe do we get FP+? we are staying onsite but have not received any notification yet. the app I have does not recognize out reservation number.

Not as far as I have seen. No BOG reservations for December at all yet, and when I make my fastpass+ selections the only parade/fireworks/show I am seeing is Fantasmic.

OK, here is what I think I figured out ; )

All of us (DH, Me, DS8, DS3) will head to BTMRR. DH and DS8 will have and use a FP+, we will sign up for kid swap, then DS3 and I will head to another non-40 ride to ride at the same-ish time. I was told that we can hold on to the child swap ticket until later on in the day, and I can ride with DS8 (no FP required).

Make sense? So, if there is a ride that DS3 can't ride, he and I will FP+ something else. Later on in the day, I can ride with DS8, and the in-laws can come too (up to 3 guests + kid I believe). The thing is that everyone needs to be present to demonstrate the need for the child swap card.

This is the first time we have needed to use this, so if I am incorrect, please let me know! Currently DS3 has the same ressies as everyone else, but I am about to

We check in on Dec 22nd so midnight tonight was 60 days and our FP+ options finally opened up. I have customized our MagicBands but have not done online check-in yet.

Now I need to study everything and see if I want to make any changes.:thumbsup2

We check in on 12/22. I was able to do online check-in and the Fastpass choices opened up. my question is, does the whole group needs to do the same ride at the same time? My son can not do some rides so I was thinking have my husband do a headliner while the two of us do another ride/show.
I have not tried anything yet on the site for reservations.

I was just trying to figure out the exact same thing for our family (DH, Me, DS6, DS4). Not exactly sure how FP+ is working with the rider swap option. I think what you've laid out sounds right, but I'd like to know for sure before switching our FP+ times around. Right now I have us all booked for the same FP+ times, but I don't want to waste my little guy's FP+ reservations on things he can't ride if I don't have to.

No, you do not all have to have the same FP+ experiences. There are a lot of times 2 of us are doing one thing (maybe a show with DD4) and the other 3 are riding a headliner.

Thanks. This is good. I think this is going to work perfectly for us, spliting the FP.

Me too. :confused3 I have an issue - I have all of our fp times set up - I now want to take 2 of the same ride fp off due to the child swap and change to a different ride- but the system is not allowing me to do just the one ride....it wants me to change all 3 of my choices....anyone know how to change a ride in an already selected fp choice?? HELP :worship: Thanks for all of your help.

Change time/experience option. Then choose the FP in question. Then select "change experience" and only select the people you want to change, it will then allow you to choose another option for these specific guests

1. No. If you don't plan on nor want to use them, no need to set up an account.

2. If she wants to use MBs and FP+ then she would need an account with the reservation numbers linked to it. If you do choose you want to use it, she would not necessarily have to have her own account. You could have her listed on yours and put her ticket information under your account. MDE, in my opinion, works best when one person has control of all of the families information.

3a. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if you opt out of MBs, you should still get your KTTW cards with everything linked to it. I never have used those because I have an AP and only ever used the KTTW card for my entry into my room.

3b. The main advantage of using MBs is to have all of your information easily accessible on the band. Entry to your room, payment for meals (with or w/o dining plan), PP, usage of FP+. You will not be able to schedule FP+ ahead of time if you don't have your tickets linked to MDE.

4. Right now, the system forces you to pick 3 FP+. If you don't use it, you don't use it. But right now, it makes you pick 3. In only one park per day. You should be able to use the KTTW for those too, in addition to everything else.

This could change at any moment. There is rumor that Disney is beginning to not hand out KTTW cards IF you've opted into the MB testing. If you insist or request it at check in, I can't see them denying it, but who knows.

5. Online check in only allows certain requests. You're better of calling ahead of time and requesting that way, IMO. And also mention it at check in again. Online check in should not be required to opt into MBs.

I feel out of it so we are going Dec. 15-20 or so... hoe do we get FP+? we are staying onsite but have not received any notification yet. the app I have does not recognize out reservation number.

Try it on a desktop first on the actual website. If it still doesn't recognize it, call Disney and make sure you have the right number. If it is the right number, ask them why it's not recognizing it. They should be able to fix it.

In addition to your reservation number, you will need your tickets linked to the database in order to make FP+ reservations, if you choose to do so.

I am going to definitely tell CM that we want KKTW cards upon check in. We paid for nine day park hopper passes. Our fp+ are only for one park. When we hop, we will want the ability to get fp- in the other park! (Or get fp- in first park and get fp+ in second park) We should not be limited to only fp in one park when we paid for park hoppers.
