so you're seriously ok with whatever he picks? i couldn't do that. geez, it took us forever to agree on a name for ds8, then we had to do it all over again for ds4. months of "how about Darwin?" "Yuck! How about Zachary?" "Ewwww no, there was an icky kid in 2nd grade named Zachary..." :rotfl:

:lmao: Im sure if he picks something off the wall we will discuss it. But otherwise.. Sure. Why not? I have named 3 other little beasties all on my own.. He can do ONE.. I guess. :lmao:

No. I didnt grow up around anyone. No skin off my nose. like I said.. They are all kinda trashy. ;)

I KNOW. I cant wait for my mom to figure that one out. Seriously. She thinks I have no idea how to run my life. HELLO. Im NOT perfect, but I know I am a good mom, and wife.. My kids are fed and healthy and happy.. My house hasnt burnt down.. Im really doing kind of okay. :lmao: :lmao:
my mom was a good mom. not perfect, of course, no one is. but a good mom. and she is always telling me what a good mom i am, which i truly appreciate more than i can say. but every once in awhile she'll say something like, "well, i know i wasn't the best mom, but..." like she is still beating herself up over some thoughtless thing i said as a teenager or something!

i tell her again and again that she was a good mom, but it's like she doesn't believe me. :confused3

brave, i'm tellin' ya. it's gonna be james tiberius or some fool thing, i just know it. :lmao:

uh-oh. i just saw a commercial for survivor for tomorrow's show. in my sis' email, she said she hoped there wasn't going to be a show, otherwise she'd have to be rude and boot everyone out before it started. and i don't think she was kidding, either. :lmao:

hey, that's what you should do! run through character names from all his favorite shows and movies, and make a list of ones you like. then casually drop them here and there, and he's bound to pick one! :rotfl2:

My mom has started asking me questions about things that happened when I was younger.. I guess my grandma made some comment about how my mom never cooked, and I always did it. Yep. I sure did. My mom doesnt remember it that way.. I dont know.. She was okay. She is trying to make up for it now that I am older I think. Her way of showing affection is with money.. Honestly, I dont want that. If she wants to do something nice.. Watch the kids for a couple of hours!:lmao:

My mom will once in a while say that I am a good mom. My grandma says it too.. Must be true then. ;) :lmao: I am a totally different type of mom than my mom was. I dont know.. Works for us. My kids rock, so I must be doing something right. :lmao:

He has been teasing me about a name from some show he likes.. Vincent Vash.. not bad. But if the kids nick-name is Vash the stampede.. Im gonna kill him. :lmao:

Are we all gonna gobble till we wobble tomorrow? ;)

i think i'm pretty similar in style to my mom. i think we all try to continue what we think our parents did well, and 'break the cycle' of things we think they did wrong.

dh grew up getting pretty much any toy he ever asked for, but his parents didn't have a lot of time for him. he is a very hands-on father, though imo he is also over-indulgent with the toys. ;)

i never heard my parents say 'i love you', and we say that constantly to the boys. constantly! it's very important to me that they know this. we also say it to each other, and make sure to say it and show it to the boys. i think kids get a feeling of security from knowing that their parents love each other. some people (my sister included) think it's ridiculous, it's just words, but words have power, and i think that's something very basic we can give our kids.

OOga booga boooga

Did I scare the stuffing out of ya??

OOPS! , a day too early :lmao:

My brother and I did a quick market run to Ralph's. There were some frantic shoppers there but at least it wasn't real crazy. My mom went to Costco yesterday and she said the checkout line was so insane. Not to mention, the traffic to get out of the parking lot was a nightmare. :scared:
