You won't see this post, Disney, but I just wanted to thank you for your kind words:D :D :D ........

I'm not quite sure what happened to my last post, so I guess I'll rewrite it.

Basically, for whatever reason the mods don't feel that EROS steps over the line, with his(or her...I guess you never REALLY know on the Internet, do you?) nasty, offensive behavior, which really doesn't change from post to post.

My suggestion is try the "Ignore" feature. You'll like it. And it makes DISing go much faster, to not have to read that same stuff ad nauseum.;)

PS-EROS, you're welcome. ;)

Whether I'm commenting on War in Iraq or Capital Punishment, I'm careful to indict ALL who have an opposing viewpoint.

*ding* yes, you do.

On the other hand, the attacks back on ME are highly INDIVIDUALIZED and PERSONAL. Unlike other posters, I don't run to a moderator when my feelings are hurt. Respect is a two-way street. Frankly, there have been horrible things said here DIRECTLY about ME. I, in turn, have never gone after any ONE member for his/her views.

For your own sake EROS I swear, I've been asking you for two damn years to come down to the DB with those things mentioned above. People here take it personally whether you insult one or a whole group of ones. There's no difference.

I think you have a great capacity to be a caring and selfless and thoroughly decent person - they do too. Something went very wrong here between the two - any idea what it is? Could your word - 'indict' - be the answer?

It's just that I'm hated and despised for those few threads when I express strongly held views. That's OK................. I know that in Fantasyland, everything is allllllllllllllllways rosy.

So you're trying to say that whoever disagrees with your views lives in Fantasyland? You realllly need to get over yourself!

I'm basically a nasty, offensive, insulting slug;) ;) ;) .......

EROS, don't make me report you to a CB Mod for personally attacking yourself..... ;) ;) ;)

LOL, Sonja;) ;) . Trust me, there are forces here who would be highly pleased if I was more self-destructive than simply acknowledging my many faults. They'd be happiest with my.............BLOOD    .......

Let me guess......your Rh factor is negative, right??? ;) ;) ;)

A persona.

You have a bug up your butt the size of Canada, about Christians. Other than that you're probably ok. :teeth:

O+........universal donor.......... I'd happily donate to EVERYONE on the CB, even those who would just looooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvvve to have me disappear;) ;) ;) ;) ............

O+ ??? Hey, cool, me too. :)

I gotta go with Teejay on that "bug the size of Canada thing"..... ;)

bsnyder, it may be different for BUCS fans.

Technically, you're correct. Unfortunately, O- is only in 6% of the population. So O (+or-) donors are considered univeral donors. O- can be administered to ALL blood types. O+ MAY be a problem with AB-,A-,B-, and O- but can be used in emergencies.

Good luck to the BUCS.........until they meet the PATRIOTS in the SuperBowl:D :D.......

 Hi EROS.....

Always entertaining to read one of your threads! :D :D :D
Keep up the good work.....:D

And good luck to the Pats tomorrow night. :)

Found some information for you, on that ship you just LOVE to HATE!

The centerpiece of Buccaneer Cove is the majestic, 103-foot-long ship, an authentic replica of an early 1800's pirate ship, arguably one of the most recognizable stadium feature in the world.

The most menacing aspect of the pirate ship is its massive 9'x7' skull and crossed swords facing the playing field which features huge, glowing red eyes and a mouth that breathes smoke. Additionally, eight cannons celebrate Buccaneer touchdowns by releasing thundering cannon fire, smoke, confetti, mini-footballs and a variety of Buc merchandise into the stands. The ship will also be complete with working rigging and a crew to raise and lower its huge 32x50 foot sails.

Massive enough to be a striking image from any spot in the stadium, the majestic ship looms out over the crowd in the north end zone.

Ship Length 103'
Ship Weight 43 tons
Ship Height 78'
Bow Detail 9'x7'
Ship Width 32'
Swords 16' each

The ship was constructed over a two-month period using, among others, the following materials:

5.5 tones of concrete
14 tons of steel
700 yards of sails
1 mile of rigging
300 feet of rope
60 gallons of paint
64,000 linear feet of wood trim

The ship's dock serves as an interactive entertainment area from which patrons enjoy the most unique vantage point in the National Football League. Adding to the festive atmosphere is a larger-than-life interactive talking parrot that sits perched at the ship's stern.

 Sounds like this thread is turning into a debate, too.

My take is that the Community Board is for regular social banter. Two cardinal rules of polite social conversation (such as you might have at a gathering of those who are not close friends) is to avoid discussion of politics and religion. When you want to discuss those topics it would make sense to head to the "Debate" board.

I don't understand the reasoning that a Debate should not be there because the majority of folks who post on the Debate Board might disagree with the position of the poster. Isn't pro and con discussion what a "debate" is all about? If no one takes the "con" side it is just one person blabbering on until someone else tells them how brilliant they are. That is neither debate nor social conversation. That's the bore at the cocktail party that everyone avoids.

Maybe what needs to be done is entice more folks to the Debate Board. That will liven things up there for everyone. After all, they can't "debate" there either if everyone is already in agreement.

It's funny that Eros feels the Debate Board is primarily Conservative. My feeling has been just the opposite. Maybe we see only what we want to see.

Eros,
Go read The Hunt's rules for debate, on the DB! It may be helpful, and give you an idea about what a good debate should be like.

I wouldn't consider these CB threads as "real" debates. Have you ever noticed that the ones that you start follow the same pattern every time? Your outraged about something, and then you scold everyone else for being a lowly human being that disagrees with you.

Oh well, on to the DB! :D
