Hey I'll agree on bad boys. I think though that my definition of bad boys doesn't include people who harp on the same subject complaining over and over. That to me seems a bit like whining when they don't get their way?

I told my employees this last week if you don't like something you can do 3 things:
1) complain
2) do something to change what it is you don't like
3) move on

***they've already reached their limit on number 1 as have some people here IMO.

WillyJ- I respect your opinions even if a disagree!!! If i was a moderator(not that it has any chance of happening) i wouldnt have a hard time because i wouldnt delete anything!!!!(which is why i have no chance of being one).
I dont think anyone here has said that the owner's dont have the right to control their site, we are just offering a opinion on a topic, but of course the owners should run the site in the manner they want to as they are putting up the capital to kep it running!!
But if done by government or a private person if a post is changed/deleted etc it is still cenorship, if done by a private entity or a public entity. And i think we all agree that the 1st amendment isnt in play here as it would be on a public street.

A couple of things:

The site is owned by Pete, moderated by people he feels have the ability to keep his site "behaving" in the manner he wishes it to behave. We all have first amendment rights...you have the right to post, they have the right to remove posts that the owner of the site finds offensive. Easy concept. We all have the right to go to other sites that may be more lenient in terms of what is allowed, although, personally (note-I said PERSONALLY, indicating my opinion only!)most of those sites are rather unpleasant.

As far as when things get hairy here...if you post something nasty, whether it is directed at a group(ie-"HEH crowd", Republicans,"breeders", Democrats, breast-feeding mothers, home-schooling parents are a few that come to mind)or an individual, expect that you are going to get lambasted. Guess what, just because you don't specifically say "tedsmom is an idiot" doesn't mean that tedsmom isn't going to get p***** off when you say

PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE IN CAPITAL PUNISHMENT ARE SUBHUMAN.

It is still a personal attack on some people's belief systems. So don't whine about being personally attacked, and how you never personally attack anyone, blah, blah, blah, because, in fact, making obnoxious blanket statements about belief systems,(and the key word here is OBNOXIOUS...there is a difference between stating your opinion and being obnoxious and we are ALL smart enough to know that difference!!!!!) even if they are group belief systems, ARE personal attacks. You're just personally attacking a group of people, rather than one at a time. Kind of like the difference between shooting people with a machine gun vs. a handgun. The people who get shot are still as dead...the machine gun kills a whole bunch of people at once, the handgun kills them one at a time.

Tired of this thread now,since we've been over this a million times in the short time that I've been posting here. I can't even begin to imagine how sick you "old-timers" are of this baloney.
