Paula should be shot for giving that song to David A. He is totally not worthy of that song!!!! The producers choice though might not be too bad (except that he drives me nuts).

FYI, the presale starts tomorrow and they are releasing the presale code today at 10 am.

This is the first year I have wanted to go to the concert since I liked the majority of the top 10. We are going to Atlantic City since it is Saturday show and my DH and I are making a mini-weekend out of it. Yeah

we are going! Where do I find the presale code?

I have never watched AI but someone sent me a YouTube video of David Cook singing Baba O'Riley (I love The Who ) the other night and it gave me chills...that boy can flat out sing and his rendition of that song was amazing...here's the link if anyone wants to hear it again.

I hope this is the song that he picks for the finale. It was way too short and could be a moment if he has more time. I don't think he can recreate the awesomeness of BillyJean or ABMB again.

I don't know--Hello was pretty awesome as was Mariah Carey's song. Both of which I downloaded.

I agree but based on previous finalists, if they picked one of their moments from earlier in the season, they didn't do as well the second time around. Hello was amazing in part because it was so unexpected. For me ABMB(Mariah week) was DC's best moment because of the circumstances surrounding that week. That's why I want Baba to be sung again and also to be done in the studio. David Cook was perceived to not be on his game last week, so I think he could slam it out of the park on a longer do-over. I just don't want Innocent to make a reprise. (even though I "got it" in the longer studion version.)

I would also love for him to do I'll Be from the Hollywood rounds. We never got to hear much of that one.

I think the consensus is we all want to hear MORE of ALL of David Cook's songs!!! He absolutely must be the most downloaded Idol ever!

I agree that Hello was so unexpected...I remember being on the edge of the couch (literally), saying to DH, "He is NOT doing Lionel Richie, Oh my God, He IS doing LIONEL RICHIE!" That is when a lot of us fell in love with him, I think.
I also loved Eleanor Rigby, I thought it was haunting, like ABMB. I agree also that I would love to hear him do a longer version of Baba...are tonight's songs full-length or quickies?

I hope that David C's choice of song for tonight is correct. I love that band and think he will do well with that song. It will be interesting to hear what he does with the song that Simon picked for him. I'm really excited to get to hear him sing 3 songs tonight.

I would love to here him sing the whole song...I've watched that link so many times...it was truly and amazing version of that song and he has such a powerful voice.

That's one of the biggest problem with American Idol is that they never give the good singers enough time to perform the songs they sing in their entirety. (Another is that they're limited to such small and crappy song lists.)
