American Idol Thread

DD13 is going to be thrilled with any seat but I think the ones we got are ok. I bought 3 tickets so she could take a friend and a parent (which will probably be me ) Maybe I can find another willing, responsible adult to take her though!

We are travelling to Atlantic City to make a weekend of it (only way I could get DH to join me), so if I am going so far out of my way I want good seats

I have tried a gazillion times adn they are only selling seats in two sections towards the back. Hopefully I will get lucky and something better will come up for me in the regular sale.

A little trick I like to pass on regarding good seats and concerts. But you have to be a gambler at heart (or not really care if you go or not)...

Wait til the day before the show. Maybe 2....yea, start at 2. At 10 am or so, a chunk of AMAZING seats are usually released for sale. Usually, but this is in no way guaranteed to happen. That's why you need to be a gambler to do this! But I know for a fact that this happened 2 years ago for my AI show. Went into Ticketmaster the day of the show and there were seats right next to the stage (high-fiving distance) available for sale. They are saved for VIPs or family members or whatever, then released when unused.

I can't get decent seats at all, and I think my work server just blocked me out.

We got section 109, row A seats 10-12. It is toward the back of the stadium but I don't care, it is first row in the section and we can bring binoculars but the Target Center isn't that big so it is basically sitting at one end of the basketball court watching a show at the other end.

Do you vote after every show?

Last night was the first time we voted. We voted for David Cook 4 times. Normally I watch it the next day(after voting is closed). Thanks to TIVO, sometimes I dont always catch it livve so I watch when I can. Last night I watched it live.

I tried this for a Carrie Underwood concert this past Sunday. I got on ticketmaster the day of the concert and low and behold....FRONT ROW SEATS!!!! I couldn't go b/c I had just bought Tina Turner tickets so I am broke, but it really does work (obviously not every time).

Funny my 8 year old liked David C the very first time he sung. I was iffy about him. But when he sung HELLO!!! That was it. I was a David Cook fan.

I can not wait until he puts out a CD, it will be the FIRST American Idol contestant CD I have ever brought.

I hope he is safe tonight. If we need a shocker I hope it is David A going home now THAT would be a shocker

I was really hoping Dial Idol got it wrong and that Syesha would be safe and that David A. would be heading home. I just don't understand what others hear in his voice or appreciate about his personality. I just don't appreciate either one but maybe I just don't get it, huh?

I was hoping the same thing, but I knew it wouldn't happen. I really like Syesha, and she was a trooper last night. Nice to hear Simon say he thought Paula was too harsh on Tuesday.
