Amanda's Menu Planning Spectacular!

Erin that is exactly what I feel like as well! :) I feel like such the gourmet cook! My meatloaf tonight turned out very good so here is the link to the recipe:

I did very well today although I was tempted by some ice cream. I drank lots of water today, and stayed low carb except for the mini blizzard from Dairy Queen. I still need to make the marinade for the Tequilla Lime Chicken tonight before I go to bed.

Meditation for tomorrow:My Brain is a great gift. Using all of it increases its value.

You are kickin' butt with your food plan!! I'm going to have to get some paper & copy down all these recipes! Thanks for sharing them! We wouldn't want our food to get boring, would we??

I've done 2 of the FIRM tapes. They are really workin' me out! That's a good thing - I need it! ::yes::

I hope you have a good Monday!

I'm coming to your house for meals!!! They sounds sooooo awesome! I think DH would agree... I am trying to shake things up this week in that department!
Keep up the awesome work! you are doing great!

Good Morning! I have to tell you that planning my menus in advance has been and absolute God Sent! I no longer have to question what I am going to eat and if I have the low carb stuff in the fridge to make it. I feel such relief! :)

B: Quiche - I still need to figure the carbs
L: Leftover Meatloaf and Salad
S: Chocolate Protein shake - 2 carbs
D: Tequilla Lime Chicken
S: Sugar free pudding (forgot to make this last night)
Exercise: Going to Curves after work
Water - 8 glasses

I need to make the chocolate pudding tonight because I am in the D-zone. But as long as I have some chocolate to eat then I think I will be okay.

I am going to try and not weigh myself till Thursday but I can tell you that my body is already starting to take on the look from before my vacation! This is quite a relief. I tried on my swimsuit top in the morning before I ate anything (when I am my skinniest) and it fit quite well - so I'm thinking if I can lose just 10 lbs that will make a big difference.

Onward and downward my friends.

I did good today and followed program. The only thing I didn't do was workout. I ended up having to do some errands after work today and I was so tired that all I wanted to do was come home. Tomorrow I have to come straight home from work to get a phone call - I'll probably eat a quick dinner (leftovers maybe) and then go to Curves afterwards. Not really what I prefer to do but I am committed to working out 4 days this week and they are closed on Sundays.

Those menu plans sound good. I'm glad it is working out well for you and takes some of the pressure off. You are doing great and will be basking in the sun in your new swimsuit in no time! :flower1:

Some days are like that! They don't quite work out the way you want them to! I hope you have a really great day and are able to go to curves! Remember it's something for you!!! :flower1:

Good Morning! Does anyone else get really tired right before they have Aunt Flo visit? I had the hardest time dragging myself out of bed this morning. I am up though now and at work. I am wearing my pants that I somewhat consider goal pants. I know if I can wear them then I am bac into my old size. They are very tight today and I'm not sure if I will make it all day with them - but for now we are doing okay.

Plan for today:
B: Protein Shake and Quiche - 4 carbs
L: Leftover Tequilla Lime Chicken - 5 carbs plus Salad - 0 carbs
S: Montery Jack Cheese - 2 carbs
D: Leftover Chicken Cheese and Wine - 10 carbs w/ either Salad or broccoli
S: Low Carb Chocolate Pudding
Water - LOTS
Exercise - Curves.

To do List:
-Go straight home and wait for friend to call with price of mattress, eat dinner.
-Go to Curves
-Go to bank
-Go home.

The Tequilla Lime Chicken came out really really good! Do not feel overwhelmed by the amount of ingredients - it is really quite simple.

Tequilla Lime Chicken

I am feeling a little overwhelmed today but I know if I just take moments to breathe and try to focus on my priorities.

Pre-Aunt Flo I am always exhausted!! It isn't just you, that's for sure! Ride the wave and you'll be feeling back to your old energetic self very soon! ::yes::

Your menu planning is such an inspiration! I've got to get on the ball in this area. You're my role model, dear Amanda!!

Thanks for the info about stretching in my journal. Does Curves really say that 15% of weight loss is in stretching the muscles?? That would be a real relief to me! On the days when I just do stretching, I feel like I'm slacking off.

I hope today goes well for you! :sunny:

Here's hoping that your "goal pants" made it through the day...right now my goal pants are screaming and hiding from me. :earseek:

Keep up the good work!

Hi Amanda,

You are definately not alone. I can barely function, I get so exhausted with the first few days of Aunt Flo.
Congrats on fitting in your goal pants, even if they are tight. Of course, you are probably bloated today, so they probably fit better than you think.

Feel better, and have a great evening,
Beth

I really cannot express to you guys the utter beauty of not worrying about what I am going to cook at night. We actually diverted from the menu tonight since life got in the way. But it was great because there were delicious leftovers for me to choose from. It is such a relief to not have to focus all the time.
Stayed on plan tonight and even divulged in a little sugar free chocolate pudding. YUMMY! Definately helped with my PMS Chocolate cravings. I didn't eat enough veggies today though so I want to correct that tomorrow. I haven't been actually counting the carbs but I know that I am probably somewhere between the 30 and 55 carb mark everyday. I also managed to make it to Curves and my workout was a blast! I went home first for a change and actually relaxed on the couch for an hour, ate, and then went. I think I definately needed that hour on the couch.

~Amanda

I do! In fact my AF is arrive almost a week early!!! I am wiped out!

OK, OK, I'll keep a better food journal. . .you're right, you know. I appreciate your honest evaluation and suggestion, Amanda.

Hey, talk about PMS fatigue. . .I'm the queen of that, I think. I get wiped out in a major way. You sound like you honored your body's needs but kept your commitment to your healthy living plan. Way to go!

Have a good day today, dear Amanda. I'm glad we're friends.

Erin

Morning Folks! Well Brian and I are both coming down with something. Stupid winter weather! Last night I had to take some Nyquil to sleep through the night. I am staying on my healthy living focus I am just adding in some Orange Juice to help with the Vitamin C. So far today just from the juice I have had 54 carbs! Yikes! But I am not going to sweat the small stuff because I've also had 100% Vitamin C for the day.

B: Egg Quiche - 2 carbs
L: Either leftover chicken, cheese, and wine w/broccoli or Tuna Salad - 5/3 carbs
S: If needed I'll probably do a protein shake
D: Creamy Shrimp and Veggies - I'll post the recipe if it is good. It has lots of red peppers in it which is full of Vitamin C.
S: Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding.
Curves: Immediately after work.

The question of the day is will I be able to stay away from the scale at Curves today? I really want to get my weight tomorrow but the scale looks so tempting especially since I feel lighter and my clothes are fitting better. I am going to try and be strong and stay away from it tonight.

Have a good day friends!
~Amanda

Oh I hope you feel better and beat this cold. I agree stupid winter weather. My oldest asthmatic is coming down with a cold too. Don't forget your chicken soup and to push more fluids. It helps. Stay well. :flower1:

Amanda,
I hope you both get better soon. I'm loving reading your journal. The food you have on your LC WOL sounds yummy! I always like looking for some low carb meals that I can have on WW's. I definately agree about meal planning it really helps!

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. My research over the years has stated not to work out if you are sick below the neck but it's ok if it is all inyour head  so be good to yourself, rest & fluids! Thanks for the number for the pic. if that other woman wasn't in it I think I would order it.

Hope that scale is good to you :flower1:
