Amanda's Menu Planning Spectacular!

Well I avoided going to Curves tonight and I think I made a good decision. I came home and crashed on the couch for an hour. I fell into one of those sleeps that when you wake up you are confused as to where you are and what time it is.

I did manage to stay on program with food even though DH ordered pizza for dinner tonight and I was tempted. At one point I told him he had to put it away or else I was going to start eating it. My creamy shrimp and veggies was very good and I will post the recipe tomorrow.

My head and throat are killing me but I hope it will be better tomorrow because I really want to go to Curves and weigh myself. TOM should also arrive tomorrow so hopefully all the bloat will be gone. I really do think the scale is going to move - I hope I am not disappointed.

I hope you feel better! DH has been sick with this for days! I have a good feeling about you though!!! It is going to be gone! :wizard:

Good Morning Buddies! Well I am feeling a bit better today but am no where near 100%. My throat doesn't hurt which is a good thing and it seems to just be sinus congestion. I'm going to continue drinking OJ and staying low carb with my meals. I really really want to go to Curves tonight.

Plan for today:
B: Quiche - 2 carbs
L: Left over Cream Shrimp and Veggies - 10 carbs
D: Cheeseburgers and Salad - less then 5 carbs
S: sugar free choclate pudding
Exercise: Curves
Vitamins: taken

Creamy Shrimp and Veggies

Hi Amanda,

I'm sorry that you still aren't feeling well. Take it easy at Curves tonight. Your meals look great. Thanks for posting all the recipes lately. it always helps to have some new ideas. Great job avoiding pizza last night.

Feel better,
Beth

You avoided pizza?? :worship: You've been doing such a great job with your food! You should be very proud of you and I just KNOW that scale visit will be a happy one! I don't lose my TOM bloat until a couple days after arrival so don't be too disappointed if you're still carrying a bit of extra water weight.

I sure hope you and Brian are feeling better soon!

Okay guys - some of you may not know this but I get into a lot of political discussions on the Community Boards and well tonight I got a little hot under the collar and probably said some things I shouldn't. So I might be banned here shortly with this name. :guilty: We'll have to see how it goes.

Weighed in at Curves tonight and I am down 2 lbs! I kind of wish it was more but it wasn't and that is okay. The chocolate cravings hit big time tonight and I did indulge in a mini blizzard from Dairy Queen. It is the perfect size just enough to hit the cravings but not so big that you feel completely guilty for eating it. Otherwise I was completely on program today and I already have a plan for tomorrow.

Aw, Amanda, I'll love you no matter what your name is. Hang in there, girl.

Congrats on those missing poundages. :cool1:

Amanda,

Congrats on the pounds gone. :cool1:

Dont' worry about the community board, especially where politics are fiercely bickered about. I saw during the election that a bunch of those people acted like total Kool Aid drinkers if their stand was questioned at all. You and I agreed, even if you didn't know it, alot of the times. Only once I allowed myself to get into a heated debate with someone and you know what it wasn't worth it. I totally stay clear of those posts now because it is evident that some of those people are so pig-headed that no matter what you post they argue for their side. Even when the truth or common sense is so obvious. Again, kool aid drinkers. To each their own but some of their argumentative posts leading up to the election were truly disgusting. Alot of the same people were obviously picking fights and their posts showed that. Don't waste your positive energy on those kind of people ok? Have a good day. :flower1:

Wilderness has a good point! I am actually going to take a break from the Community Board for awhile because I don't like who I have become over there.

Well the cold seems to be subsiding and my left foot hasn't hurt in about a week. I'm starting to feel like my old self again.

Today is Friday so that means - MENU PLANNING! I'm going to go grocery shopping tomorrow so I need to figure out today what sounds good for the rest of the week.

Plan for today:
B: Nothing
L: Either Crab Cakes or Cheeseburger and Salad
S: ?
D: I am going out to eat with some friends after work. I'll be going as low carb as possible.
Curves after work
Water - 8 glasses (I need to work on this)
Vitamins - taken.

Ever since they got rid of the debate board I spend VERY little time on the CB. I just don't think it's worth it. (I did post on one thread that all I had gotten from this thread was a list of people I never wanted to meet LOL!)

Menu planning sound great - if you share your grocery list that would make my life so much easier ;)

Sounds like your friday will be FUN & here's to a fun filled lc weekend :cheer2:

2 POUNDS GONE!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Bye-bye pounds!!

You're doing GREAT, dear Amanda! Please share your menus again! I still have to print out the recipes from last week's menus but you keep inspiring me to not let my food get too boring. ::yes::

Since you reminded me in my journal to plan dinner tonight, I'm making Chicken a la Amanda! Haven't made it in quite a while and it just sounds yummy! I'll lift a fork-full in your direction (due West) as I eat!

Ignore the nuts on the Community Board. Most of them are not interested in rational discussion or debate. They just want to keep parroting their spiel forever and antagonize other people. Don't play the game - so not worth your time!

Have a wonderful day, enjoy dinner out and a great workout at Curves! :flower1: Now that there are 2 PA teams vying to get into the Super Bowl, do you have a favorite?

Doe as long at the Patriots aren't in the Superbowl I'll be a happy girl. Boston already won the World Series - they don't need both. Obviously I'm still bitter over the baseball season....my poor Cardinals :(

Hi There Amanda,

I wouldn't worry about what happened at the CB. I just don't go over there anymore. It got so ugly around the election, I lost interest.

Your menus sound fabulous! The pork kabobs sound awesome.

I hope you enjoy your evening out. Have a great weekend.
Beth

You sound so organized. I have a terrible problem with that. I really might adopt your plan of planning out my week. Do you find it keeps you OP and saves not only time but $$? I hate that I run to the grocery store so much because I am unorganized in that aspect. Just wondering.

I love PF Changs and their lettuce wraps. I love the yummy sauces they mixed up at the table too. Have fun and have a nice weekend.

Ack! Did you have to bring up the Cardinals? I am still in denial...

CONGRATS on those 2 pounds, Amanda! All of the planning you are doing, as well as Curves, is really paying off! You are doing GREAT!!!
