I am sure everyone is guilty of it one time or another...

I feel bad for the staff. I have been in the position of giving away stuff for free and becoming overwhelmed in the past, and it is a frightening thing to have 50 people coming at you for your 10 waterbottles. eep.

Thankfully my family and I have never done this. I research CL before we went for the first time and knew when we got there what to do and what not to do. I wish everyone would put in the kind of research that we on this board and on the other CL threads do.

Well it looks like my family finally got the message. Both elder ds and dh got done what I asked them to do and stopped complaining. The house isn't as perfect as I would like it but it is clean and I guess that is what counts. I am choosing to look at it as we had a rough start so the rest of the vacation will go well. I am really tired but not sure I will sleep tonight. Never do the night before a vacation. Too many happy plans go through my head. I will probably down my computer right before we leave in order to give myself something to do should I not be able to sleep. For now I am going to try and head off for bed and try and get some sleep. Night all!

At the poly now CL. This is my last night of our seven night stay. Second time staying at poly, first Cl. The week has been great althought very hot with some rain. This year I preferred the quiet pool, more room to swim, not nearly as crowded. I love how relaxing this resort is compared to others. Checked in at 10 but room wasn't ready til 230 got my request though. Love club level. The food situation is true but it is only certain people. Maybe 20 percent who abuse it....we would laugh at those few families all week.lol. Some people just have no tact. But the deserts and apps were great. 3 deserts each night plus cookies. And the cl staff were reat. That's about it. Sad to leave tomorrow.

OMG! We just switched from YC to AKL to POLY!!! We will end up having to do a split stay unless our last two nights become available but we really aren't too concerned, if they do great if not then we will still be happy! FD Oct 19th-24th in a SV room! Now to decide where we will be the 24th-26th!

Congrats on switching to the Poly . Good luck getting the last 2 nights so you don't have to do a split stay .

My family is dealing with the crank monster tonight. I have poured my heart and a lot of time into planning this vacation, trying to get everything perfect. Well getting them to do ANYTHING to get ready to leave, like making sure their rooms are clean etc.... is proving as difficult as passing an elephant through the eye of a needle. Even dh is being not as helpful as he could be. At one point tonight I just wanted to call everything off except that we would lose about 600.00.

I'm sorry your DH and DSs aren't cooperating . My DH and both DSs just stay out of my way when it gets close to leaving because they know how irritable I can (and do) get . I don't usually ask for help because I would probably go behind them and make sure things were done the way I wanted them done and would redo them if need be . Just relax and keep thinking about being at the Poly soon .

Slooooooooooowly things are getting done. I have only been after all of them for the past week to get this stuff completed. I have to say my youngest 15 did do as he was told. It is my eldest and my dh that did not. Just frustrates me with the amount of work and hours and planning that went into this. Do they seriously think they would have even a quarter of the wonderful vacation planned had I dragged my feet the way they are? I am not asking for the moon here I just don't want to leave the house in any sort of disarray. Sorry just really cranky, have a nasty headache, and cranky stomach from all this.

Don't apologize......most of us get a little crazy right before a trip. I have to clean my house and make sure all of the laundry is done before we leave. My DH thinks I'm crazy, but it's such a great feeling leaving the house knowing everything is neat and clean . Plus I like coming home to a clean house, clean sheets on all of the beds, and no (or very little) laundry .

Glad your DH and older DS got done what you wanted them to . Try to get some sleep, although I know how hard that is because I don't sleep very well (if I do at all) the night before we leave.

Hollywood Studios for us tomorrow, then naps and MK for EMH tomorrow night. DH and DS are planning to close the place out, so DD and I will most likely head back to the hotel for bath and bedtime after the parade and such... Today we got a late start, but we did get to Everest, Kali River Rapids, and Kilamanjaro. Lunch at Yak and Yeti which was scrumptious! And DD and I did the walk through the ruins to see the tigers while DH and DS did KRR. Wanted to see the Lion King show, but not enough time. Headed back to the Poly where it took 15 minutes (literally) to find parking and took a quick shower before dinner. Garden Grill. One of my favorites. so glad DS said he really wanted to eat there again!

Ok, almost time for bed. Need to set ALL alarms tonight so I get up in time! 9:30 breakfast at Hollywood and Vine!

Definitely loving the Poly and enjoying how convenient it is for everything. Thought Tahiti was closed until September with refurbishments, but it looked like lots of lights on tonight so maybe they finished early?? Oh well. I like the fact that we're basically equidistant from GCH and TTC since we're in Tokelau. Still have yet to use the pool though... :-/

Ummm did I say something about going to sleep?? LOL I am glad someone posted about the Kona coffee. I hadn't thought of that and would like to get some. I am a major coffee drinker and I love good coffee.

Ds just came out and informed me that he had broken his ear buds. Guess I will be going to the store in a few minutes. He needs them and I need them for my sanity. I'm not crazy about his music. LOL I am absolutely sure my mother felt the same way about my music when I was his age. I don't mind going out. It will keep me occupied. I will try to lay down again when I get back.

Koh1977 sounds like you are having a good time. I am so happy for you! Enjoy DHS tomorrow!!

If there is anything specific that anyone wants me to get pictures of just give me a yell. I would be glad to do it. You all have helped me out so much and I would like to give something back. I also got a great new camera and I am dying to take tons of pictures with it.

Back from the store. Why is it I go for one thing and find three things for vacation that I can't live without. Got myself a travel pillow and got some immune booster for everyone. The one I got looks pretty good. Would be oh so nice not to get sick when the kids go back to school. We are proactive with our kids. If they are sick we keep them home. A lot of parents don't do that so things spread like wildfire down here because it is hot so much of the year. There are not a lot of cold months were those nasty little buggies get killed off. Well off to beddie-bye for a couple of hours.

Now that the room specials have come out, unfortuately we couldn't get the 30% discount at the beach club but there was the honeymoon suite club level available at the poly for a few hundred extra! So we decided to go for it!
We have only ever stayed at Pop so im sure its going to be amazing! I need to do more research about club level, dont really know much about it but it does sound good!
Anyone here stayed in the honeymoon suite?

I hear you--I HATE leaving the house a mess. It's really important to me that everyone help clean up beforehand so we come home to nice clean house. It's depressing enough to leave Disney--I don't want to come home to a wreck, too!!

This is me. I spend a lot of time before any vacation cleaning. I want my house to be immaculate when I come back. I'm always the last one to leave our house because I'm pouring bleach or vinegar down the drains.
