So I checked last night and the rooms at Poly do not get the wishes channel. I think it is a little sad that they don't. The theme park BLT views get it on channel 20 which is the resort channel so it would be easy to do it for Poly guests as well..

I'm not sure why you would need the channel its perfect view from beach, pool, and dock, the music is piped in, in all the bushes & everything, during our Poly stays its the only way we watch Wishes!

Actually, when we were there a month ago the music for Wishes could only be heard on the beach if you were near the far-side of the Hawaii building (closest to the Ticket and Transportation Center).

All the other speakers were either turned off, too low, or broken.

Boy we are missing that Kona Press pot!!! Anyone make it at home? Can you easily Find good Kona coffee?

I should have looked at the gift shop before leaving!!!

Just booked a theme park view at the POLY for the first part of December - do you think that I will be able to request Tahiti or will it already be blocked for DVC construction?

OMG! We just switched from YC to AKL to POLY!!! We will end up having to do a split stay unless our last two nights become available but we really aren't too concerned, if they do great if not then we will still be happy! FD Oct 19th-24th in a SV room! Now to decide where we will be the 24th-26th!

We went from POFQ to BWI to CR to Poly to Poly CL.. We should have just booked that from the beginning, I should have known we wouldn't be happy anywhere else

My family is dealing with the crank monster tonight. I have poured my heart and a lot of time into planning this vacation, trying to get everything perfect. Well getting them to do ANYTHING to get ready to leave, like making sure their rooms are clean etc.... is proving as difficult as passing an elephant through the eye of a needle. Even dh is being not as helpful as he could be. At one point tonight I just wanted to call everything off except that we would lose about 600.00.

mirage0306 where would I get the immune booster. I would like to start our whole family on it. Wont work for the vacation but eldest goes back to college soon and youngest goes back to high school. Both are a hot bed for illnesses. I would rather like to avoid us all getting sick multiple times this year. Because of my asthma I tend to end up in the ER or the hospital when I get sick. I would also love to know where to get elderberry wine. I loved elderberries when I was a kid and I am dying to try the wine.

Are you anywhere near a Whole Foods, Sprouts, any health food store? They should have a bunch of them to choose from. I really do find they have helped us!

Yup we have a Whole Foods not far from us. I will pick it up as soon as we return home and start us all on it. Thank you so much for your suggestion. I think this is really going to help us out.

Slooooooooooowly things are getting done. I have only been after all of them for the past week to get this stuff completed. I have to say my youngest 15 did do as he was told. It is my eldest and my dh that did not. Just frustrates me with the amount of work and hours and planning that went into this. Do they seriously think they would have even a quarter of the wonderful vacation planned had I dragged my feet the way they are? I am not asking for the moon here I just don't want to leave the house in any sort of disarray. Sorry just really cranky, have a nasty headache, and cranky stomach from all this.

I hear you--I HATE leaving the house a mess. It's really important to me that everyone help clean up beforehand so we come home to nice clean house. It's depressing enough to leave Disney--I don't want to come home to a wreck, too!!

EXACTLY!! I really really love my family but they can get on my last nerve and make me feel really unappreciated when they do stuff like this.

, the food line was crazy. People taking multiple and I mean multiple plates of food. One night a family in front of us had three plates of corn dogs, maybe 40 pieces, and left my daughters 8 pieces... I am also a pretty low key traveler, but the service was just not what it use to be. Food gone in an 45 minutes...come on. I will not stay Poly CL again. The view is great, but just not worth the money when you get mediocre service.

Here's the problem...people taking lots of food - food that was meant to serve all. how is that the hotel's fault?

I stayed at a hotel in barcelona by the airport. we were upgraded before we arrived (automatically because we were frequent travelers to that brand and it is one of the perks.) well, they had food service available.

The hotel was booked solid. Lots of tour groups. Many people were bumped to concierge who normally did not stay concierge. They did not realize the 'snacks' put out were meant as snacks and not to feed a family of 5 for two meals. (We actually talked to some people staying there who admitted they were upset that the dinner was so slim...and when we explained it was only supposed to be an appetizer taste of barcelona...they looked kinda guilty. There was a resturant downstairs.)

Because of this, my hubby and I never even got a morsel. People were surrounding the waiters trying to put out appetizer trays of food as fast as possible, and nearly tripped him. It became a zombie feeding frenzy! (only thing I can think of to explain it!)

People were complaining that there was not enough Dinner for everyone...well..duh. it's not. it's a snack. All drinks were exhaused. They could not put out more because tomorrow's supply would be exhausted. They could not put out more food, and would not, because it was just causing a riot when they would put out a tray.

People were blaming the staff...they did not prepaare enough food - they did...just people were acting like they were zombies and all they could think of was...'brains' (acting like they never saw food before)! instead of behaving like civilized people.

Don't blame the staff...blame people who did not portion control themselves.
