A Dining Pre-Trip Report? Sure! LIVE report now completed!

Great updates. Tutto looks fabulous, I'm so looking forward to our ADR there now. And those Mickey muffins from the bakery are so cute.

Before we headed back from MGM/DHS to the BCV's, we stopped for snacks. DS picked out a churro:

He was very happy with this - I thought it tasted like the ones at Taco John's at home, but still very good. We ended up paying room charge because of a snafu at the cart.

DH and me:

Used a snack credit and enjoyed this while waiting for the boat to take us back. Very good!

And now we're off soon to welcome my dad to FL...:goodvibes

Note to self, get many of those Blueberry Muffins in Oct.....

I'm sitting here drooling and my stomach is growling!!! I guess I need to go find something for dinner, but NOTHING will even come close to any of this....:sad2:

Thanks again for taking the time to share with us!

WOW - That food at Tutto looked so good and the servings are enormous! We're going to put it on out list for '09.:goodvibes

Loving the reviews so far!

Thanks for the reminder about Captain Cook's! That's counter service, correct? I have to try that tonga toast but have all of our table service meals planned already.

Tutto Italia looks amazing.:goodvibes We have ADRS there for December and I'm thinking that crab entree looks good for me .:) Do you happen to know if it was garlicky at all? I love the taste of fresh garlic.

Now I have another to add to my list of TO Dos I think I need to go for 3 eeeks so I can fit in all the restaurants I want to try!! Tutto's is being added. I likes that cheesy dish and ALLLLL of the desserts !!

Oh dh will be so excited they have Vitaminwater at the Broadwalk bakery. He loves that stuff. Also I don't remember seeing those muffins in Dec. Thank goodness we stay at BCV so we can walk over to BB to get muffins.

Yummy BW Bakery breakfast! Sure beats the boring english muffin I had! Tutto Italia looked great, too. I can't wait to try it in a couple of weeks! :thumbsup2

For drinks, we got two yellow and two pink waters:

The best thing I can say? They keep you hydrated. Otherwise? GACK!

Not a fan of the Vitamin Water, eh... I'm sooo addicted to that stuff! Pink & red are my favorites!

Ok we love them but they are the cause of weight gain....DH will drink these non stop and wonder why he packs on weight...he goes off of them for a month and loses so much weight.

And he wonders why I dont buy them for him anymore

That's true. They do have calories, but they're way better than soda. Everything in moderation, right. :goodvibes

I hate to be a nutritional wet blanket, but they are actually very similar to soda. The labels are misleading as there are 2.5 servings in one bottle. That means there are ~32 grams of sugar per bottle vs. 39 grams in a Coke. Both soda and vitamin water contain processed sugar so there is really no difference. I prefer to drink plain water and take a multi-vitamin.

I don't mean to sound stand-offish, but I hate to see our kids drinking so much soda or "soda in disguise".

Correct! Table service credits - very nice.

I asked DSIL today - she said nope, not that garlicky :(

DS and the kids just loved them - thought they were so cool.

Good choice!!

They have the water all over - I've seen it at the BC Marketplace, Roaring Fork, BW, SSR, etc.

DH has the same issue with Mountain Dew and wondering why I don't buy it ;)

Seriously scary storm out there right now, so we're having some downtime. I thought I'd update starting with last night's dinner at Yachtsman.

Tonight was Date Night for DH and for me. DDd and DSM arrived safely and had a date night of their own scheduled at Artist Point. I only talked to them briefly so far but Dad said the dinner was excellent and so was the service. DDd had steak and fries and then the Berry Cobbler for dessert and loved it. DSM had ther cedar plant salmon and thought it was excellent. For dessert, she wasn't hungry so they let her get a latte and a scoop of ice cream. Overall, they were very happy.

DB and Fam went to Big River Grille and enjoyed dinner - three of them had a huge chocolate dessert and they also had: steaks, cheeseburgers, pasta. Thumbs up from all of them.

DS had dinner at the Sandcastle Club – he chose (shockingly!) Mac and cheese, a roll and grapes for dessert. Sprite for dinner since we weren’t there to insist on milk. He said he liked it but some of the mac and cheese cheese got on the grapes and that was just gross to him.

So now on to the photos! DH and I ate our traditional Date Night Dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse. We dropped DS off around 6:00 and had some time to just enjoy our date time and beautiful resort without our omnipresent little guy.

We were seated a few minutes after checking in and can I just say how amazed I am at how many people bypass the dress suggestions? I mean, it’s a nice place…don’t wear short denim shorts and a camisole knit top. Not good.

We started our meal with the onion pull apart rolls, white crusty rolls, sea salted butter and roasted garlic.

I added some pepper to this and it was heavenly!!

DH decided on the 24 oz porterhouse with fingerling potatoes:

He loved this - the strip side was excellent, but the tenderloin side just pulled away from the bone and was absolutely delicious (I had some!). You could taste the Oaky smoke flavor and the meat was tender and so good. Hugely happy with this.

I ordered the ribeye with horseradish mashed potatoes:

July2208IV010.jpg

I enjoyed this a lot - the potatoes were just awesome and the steak was mostly very good. I preferred DH's tenderloin, but loved my ribeye too, I left an awful lot though.

For dessert, DH chose the Yachtsman Sundae: chocolate, white chocolate and strawberry gelato with whipped cream, pineapple, strawberries and chocolate. He absolutely loved it. I ate his whipped cream (YUM!) and enjoyed it very much.

I ordered a seasonal dessert - Bing Cherry Tart. This was a basic yellow cake with cherries and a crisp topping that could not stand on it's own, but was good served with the vanilla and cherry gelato. The cherry was SUPER intense and although I liked it, I gave it to DH. The cherry sauce was also very good.

Overall, this was a great meal that lasted for two hours. It was a nice date and DS had a blast at the Sandcastle Club. :thumbsup2

DS is chomping at the bit to get on the computer and we have to head out soon (weather permitting!) so I'll post the tea and dinner later tonight.

Back soon!
