DSM had The Grand Tea - The classic English tradition of Afternoon Tea, Grand Floridian style. We offer you a variety of tea sandwiches, scones and jam tarts, followed by your choice of our freshly baked tea pastries or English trifle, accompanied by a glass of Domaine Ste.-Michelle sparkling wine and your choice of tea. $25.50 per guest (Example of tea sandwiches may include: cucumber with watercress, shrimp salad with dill, chicken salad with almonds, grilled pear with gorgonzola, and egg salad, each on a different bread.)
DSIL and I had Buckingham Palace - Our traditional tea sandwiches, scones and jam tarts complemented by fresh strawberries and cream, or a selection of freshly baked pastries, along with your choice of tea.
We all started with our tea sandwiches. DNee decided to go with all three ham and cheese:
DSIL went with the cucumber with watercress, shrimp salad with dill, chicken salad with almonds, grilled pear with gorgonzola, and egg salad, each on a different bread and onion tartlet - just as on the menu:
She liked everything but wasn't sure about the onion tartlet
DSM had all the tea sandwiches, tartlet and some pate (which she said I would not enjoy

):
True to form, I decided to go with what I thought I'd like so I got watercress/cucumber and chicken almond salad with the onion tartlet:
I loved these!!! The watercress/cucumber was delicious and light and the chicken salad had a nice crunch and creaminess. It probably tasted like chicken, but I remember thinking I couldn't really place what it was. The onion tartlet was confusing. Is it sweet? Savory? Both? Neither? I really enjoyed it though.
I also tried DSM's pear and gorgonzola. The pear part was excellent until I could taste the gorgonzola. Blech. I tried, I really did but blech.
