.

And if you're wondering... to help clear things up.
My defination of being "nice" is some one doing something simple for some one else that they wouldn't normally have to do. I'm not asking for a dramatic rescue or anything. Just something that they didn't have to do, but did it anyways just to be nice.

Someone stole our disposable underwater camera at TL last March. We were at the shark reef and I put our camera, which was green, on top of the garbage can with several other cameras that were all yellow. Why I didn’t take it in the swim is beyond me. But we went back around to get it and it was gone. It was just a cheap throw away but still it had a few pictures on it. I checked lost and found several times that day and throughout the week but it never turned up. They could not have gotten it by accident because it was entirely different looking than the others. It sure sounds to me like someone thought they had a really great pair of sunglasses for free. To bad they won’t be able to wear them since they were prescription.

I have a pair of expensive Oakley's. Due to eye surgery I needed a really really good pair of sun glasses. If I lost them that would be on me not the rest of the world. Lighten up, life is short! Believe it or not some people have bigger problems than lost sun glasses. I'm really suprised you haven't been flamed any worse.....

Sorry but I had to reply. :teeth:

Second this ....

Theyre gone - youre home. Try and not dwell on the glasses, anymore...

I can't believe that more people haven't commented on the "I've tried to break them when I'm mad" thing. :earseek:

Well it WAS a year ago, so that somehow makes it all better :confused3

I hope they don't have any puppies. :dog2:

The same thing happened to me several years ago. I had a pair of perscription sunglasses in the pocket of my swimming trunks and was in the lazy river when they came out of my pocket. I never knew that they where missing until later and didn't even know where to start looking. I reported them missing to the lost and found and gave them a description and my mailing address and followed up with several calls before we left to go back home. About three weeks after returning home, I received a package in the mail and it had my glasses in it. So hopefully they will be found and returned.

Well I don't see why any one would throw away anything that didn't belong to them. And it's kinda hard to not notice that they were oakleys, since it's printed on the nose bridge.
But in any case, a nice person would turn them in, whether they were ten dollars or 400 dollars. A not so nice person would throw them away or keep them, or just let them float along in the pool. Plus they were full metal XX which means they wouldn't have broken so easily. Trust me, I've tried breaking them myself when I got ticked off at Kari really bad, the worst I did was scratch the bottom of the frames.

I guess your meaning of not so nice and mine are different. My idea of not so nice would be someone trying to break a childs glasses when they were ticked off. My idea of nice would be throwing away a broken pair of sunglasses that were laying on the bottom of the pool.
Oakley on the bridge would not mean a darn thing to me. If they were broken I would assume they were trash and should be thrown away so no one would get hurt stepping on them.

Another thread where I don't need to add anything (it's mostly been said!), but just want to acknowledge it!

My brother lost his glasses in the wave pool too. We blamed no one but ourselves, because that was our first time there, and had no idea that the waves would be so strong. He even had his old pair along, but wore his good ones, because "oh, what's going to happen?" (The wave pools around where we live a pretty tame!) Well, he lost them. They never turned up either, even after a few phone calls to check. It never even occured to us that anyone would have taken them, because they were typical teenage boy "nerd" glasses!

It's a huuuuge pool, they could have gone anywhere. We gave up looking because trying to find them was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

So I can symphasize with you, but chalk it up as an expensive lesson!

And I would've died if she wore her regular glasses into the park which are also oakleys, because they're still sitting on a credit card unpaid. (no payments, no interest for 6 months).

aww you must have went to pearle vison

Kari is a child?
I totally didn't get that from this thread... sounds like boyfriend/girlfriend situation to me. Maybe husband/wife? I dunno. :confused3

I assumed from the OP's name that it is Sandra (don't know of any guys named Sandra) and Kari is referred to as "her" so if it isn't a mother/daughter then it must be girlfriend/girlfriend.

However does it really matter. Would it be anymore "nice" to try to break the glasses of a girlfriend? Why should it matter to the OP if someone took the glasses if the OP thinks so little of them that the OP would try to break them.

oh and another thread the op says that Kari has a kiddie tent for camping.

I don't see how "You've (We've) finally come across one not so nice person" as stated in your thread topic. Who is the not nice person you are blaming? A guest, CM, king triton of the wave pool?

And why would you go for something as expensive/needed as your friend's glasses when you are angry and then turn around and complain because she lost them? Truthfully, nobody is to blame here except the person who wore glasses in a WAVE POOL.
