we don't transfer to Disney until the 19th. 18th is our last night on the dark side.
Definitely on Monday!!! My shift ends at 6:30 PM.
Sounds like our 4th Annual Dis Meet is on!!!!!!
I was thinking that....
We can have Storm Along Bay Sunken Treasure meets at the pool in the afternoons. How's that sound??

That sounds like the plan then!

Just a note to all who are coming to the BCV/BC/YC or WDW in general during the 18th of August. We are having a get together with Teena some place, usually at the hotel complex, after her shift ends. Plans are pending for the location. ALL are welcome to attend!! This is a very informal get together so there is no official entry form or fee or any of that other nonsense. It's just a bunch of us getting together to meet and chat for an hour or so. I know most of us are crazy when we go to WDW and we tend to run around from place to place like chickens without heads.... BUT if you'd like to carve a little time out of your touring plan to stop by and say hello we'd love to see you. There is no pressure to attend, even if you say that you are coming and then you don't make it, because we know how things can happen when you are on vacation. Families are also welcome if you can drag the kids away from the parks and hubby away from the nap. All hubbies who are coming will be provided with a note that says there were only tired old married women in attendance who would never even consider taking on an additional husband. So there you have it! I'm putting it out there now because most people* have not crafted their touring plans yet. Just as an FYI EPCOT is the most recommended park for Mondays so it pays to have your park plans there that night if you wish. Knowing that might make it easier for you to drop by and say hi! ~NM * Most people excluding ScottMC and myself who have probably crafted touring plans and pending ADR's eight times over and STILL have not made up our minds!! PS. I think the date to start making official Disney ADR's for that week starts Feb 15th or something.... We are arriving August 17 and I think Feb. 18 is our date. Ninja Mom - so far all the Dis Meets have been held in the solarium. It's a great place because there usually arent' any, or very few. people in there that time of night. We even had Teena's "baby shower" there!
Even though we're not staying at the BC in August this time around, I'd love to join the group as well and am definitely willing to move a few things around to make it on that Monday!
i am so trying to make the BC meet work but i dont think i can![]()
My husband, two teenage boys and I are staying at the BC CL in July. This will be our first time staying club level. We are all pretty excited and reading everyone's posts has me even more excited about our stay.:
Now, I'm trying to decide on whether or not I should add the Disney Dining Plan to our reservation. At first, I thought no...but now I'm reconsidering and was hoping to get some input. It seems complicated with credits and what you can get and where you can or can't get it...I really just don't know if it's worth it. I believe that we can take extra bottles of water, etc.. from the lounge, right? Who here does the Disney Dining Plan and who doesn't? A couple of the restaurants that I've made reservations at don't accept Disney dining...I think.TIA for any and all advice.

So this weekend my husband and I started throwing around the idea of "what if" we went to the BC this summer for our first no kids vacation. Maybe July, maybe August. It is just an idea right now, but you know how ideas can go.... They can very easily turn into an actual reservation!
Lots to think about at home first. I've got some job stuff to work out, we've got a tiny debt to clear first, we've got to decide if we are ready to leave the kid at home alone for a week while we are in a different country (he's totally old and capable enough), and I'm sure we've got some other stuff to think about too...
I've just been lurking around this thread for this past year and just skimming over the posts but now I'm going to get back to reading in earnest. So much to learn - gotta figure out what new restaurants there are, check out this MDE thing (hopefully it works the same for Canadians), how do our plans change in the heat of summer, and most importantly what are we now free to do without the teen in tow!
We've started our thoughts by mulling around what type of room we want. We've narrowed it down to 4.
BC - Standard view (same price as BCV studio, but possibility of a king bed)
BCV Studio (might be nice to have some additional kitchen items, but I know we won't eat meals in the room. Do studios have a washer and dryer?)
BC CL - I don't think we will do this since there is just two of us and I think we'd like to find places for fun breakfasts and late night snacks (Our last three trips have been CL so we are trying to envision a trip without it.)
BCV 1 bedroom (would be nice to have the space and the washer and dryer)
It will likely be at least March before we can book a trip, but the wheels in our brains are turning.![]()
I would go for the studio at BCV. There is not a washer/dryer in the room but there is a free laundry room available. Having the microwave is nice, King bed and couch and a guaranteed balcony.
Have you considered renting points?
