The Official VILLAS at DISNEYLAND HOTEL (Discovery Tower) Owners and Fans Info Thread

Stays on points owned or a rented VDH reservation don’t pay self parking fee for up to two vehicle. You will see that information about DVC parking if you do online checkin & enter number of vehicles. (That is printed on VGC online checkin as well).
You won't pay. Two cars can park for free. When you enter the property, the parking attendant will ask your name and will already have a parking pass for you.
Awesome, thanks guys!

I always put zero vehicles because im afraid they will charge, should I not be putting that 🤣🤣 When we get there we have no issue telling them we are parking the car, it just has a shows the price if you put a vehicle in online checkin so I thought maybe theyre confused and I should put zero 🤣

Do they have a room mock up or something? I don't have access to the lounge since I'm only resale.
Im resale too, just tell them at the check in desk that you are resale and want to see the model room and in my case i asked to see the lounge too.

They were very nice and they have to send a guide down to take you up there. The one bedrooms are gorgeous enough to make you want to buy, it was the Tiana room (not sure if there are others) and it was so dreamy, the whole seeing the lounge and that room will make you want to be direct, warning 🤣 and ofc the friendly guide! It has the same floor plan of pit that I love

They did have me sit down at the end to talk numbers which I didnt want to do, but was probably my fault because I was chatting with her for two hours and looked like I was going to cry when I saw the room🤣🤣

If all the west side Disneyland Forward stuff happens and there's actual theme park right by the hotel...odds are that there will definitely be an entrance like the one at the Grand Californian, right?

I wonder how many years from now that would be. 10? 15? 20?
Yup. That's my thinking. Been a while since I looked at the Disneyland Forward concept (not detailed) plans. Purely a guess but I'm going with 10-15 years. I believe it's a 10-year plan, but I see that as more of a placeholder for public talking purposes. I think it will take more than 10 years.

Here is an AI summary of what's on the internet:

Phase 1 (2025–2026): Infrastructure & Initial Attractions

  • Parking & Arrival Enhancements
    • New parking structure with ~6,000 spaces and a pedestrian bridge over Harbor Boulevard.
    • Redesigned Esplanade arrival experience for improved guest flow. [disneyparksblog.com]
  • Avengers Campus Expansion
    • Avengers Infinity Defense: A multi-world adventure battling King Thanos across Wakanda, Asgard, and NYC.
    • Stark Flight Lab: A robot-arm flight simulation with Tony Stark guiding guests. [disneyland...ney.go.com]
  • Coco-Themed Attraction
    • Location: Near Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier in Disney California Adventure.
    • Construction begins Fall 2025. [disneyparksblog.com]

Phase 2 (2026–2028): New Lands & Major IP Integration

  • Avatar Destination
    • Transforming part of Hollywood Backlot into an immersive Avatar land.
    • Expected to feature a boat ride similar to Shanghai Disneyland’s Pirates of the Caribbean tech.
    • Monsters, Inc. attraction closes early 2026 to make way for this. [cinemablend.com], [disneyparksblog.com]
  • Additional Marvel Enhancements

Phase 3 (2028–2035): Resort-Wide Growth

  • Hotels & Dining
    • Upgrades to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, including a new two-story concierge lounge (by 2026) and Napa Rose restaurant enhancements. [disneyland...ney.go.com]
  • Future Lands & Experiences
    • Additional Pixar and Disney IP-based lands (concept art suggests Frozen, Zootopia, and Tangled areas, though timelines remain unconfirmed). [cinemablend.com]

I believe Disneyland Forward is an estimated 40 year envisioned project with improvements, changes, and add ons done along the way. “Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world”.

Most likely there will be entrance/exit included but it was Walt Disney’s vision to only have one entrance portal to immersive you and transport you to the magic. Of course that has changed over time with the monorail & Grand Californian.

Once in a while, I see a VGC at a lower point cost. It's really good to own both. It's also totally bizarre that they have different seasons. 😛
yeah, the different seasons is so odd! Basically in January I would be way ahead staying at VDH, but in February I should try to stay at VGC.

I’m not counting on it either, but I’m also not disabled yet, and that walk isn’t far for me at the moment. I’m sure that could have course change as I age, but for now we’re young and relatively healthy and it works for us!
