Thank you for all your efforts on our behalf. It is greatly appreciated. I am not a coffee drinker, but my wife is in serious need before speaking, or breathing :-). I assume from your response that, unlike staying in a resort room where mouse-keeping visits daily, the BCV guests are not regularly/daily supplied coffee packets. Which means we need to buy some coffee packets for the room; or, I run down and fill her refillable mug first thing in the morning. Am I correct in this assumption?

If you are staying at BCV and you have a cash reservation (booked it through CRO) then you will get maid service every day like you would in the regular BC hotel, and if that is the case you should get your coffee and such refilled each day. If you are using DVC points (either renting them, if you are a DVC member, or if a DVC member gave you points to use), you will only get maid service mid week.

Today, the 22nd, is our 60 day mark. However, I had no intention of staying up until midnight. I was just going to make them in the morning. I woke at 2 and couldn't go back to sleep. I was in a Disney dream state. So, I got up and worked some FP+ magic. All initial FP+ bookings for our week in late June have been made. It took almost an hour using the iPhone; the app is a little clunky. Many, if not all, of my FP+ schedule is subject to change based on: changes to the system, like more and hopping; 7DMT; and, availability of Wishes and parades at MK. Illuminations was available now, so I grabbed that for one night.

I am also at the 60 day mark and checked in but it only allowed me to do Fast Pass + first two days of a 16 day stay . I am a AP holder and my renewal date falls on the 22nd of June could this be a problem:confused3 I know it does say a valid ticket is a requirement . I have already purchased the renewal but does not show so I am not able to link the new AP pass yet .

I was able to book FP+ attractions for our entire week at the 60 day mark. I am not a AP holder, so I cannot give you a definite answer. However, I think I read that AP holders can only book at 30 days, but your situation is unique, so I'm not sure. Good luck!

Thanks for the information. We are booked for the BCVillas, in a studio. We went through a Disney certified TA, paying in cash, not points. We are not DVC members. However, she did tell us we would only receive maid service mid-week. Has this recently changed?

No, your travel agent is wrong. If you are paying cash, it is just like a regular hotel. None of the DVC rules apply. The travel agent might be Disney certified ... doesn't mean much. I had a guest the other day who booked thru a Disney certified TA and they told the guest they had a guaranteed view of the castle from the BC. Really? The TA even had it typed on the TA's letterhead in the confirmation.

:welcome: to the thread

Do you have an upcoming trip to the YC/BC/BCV scheduled?

I answered your question about the Marketplace items in a separate post.

:goodvibes

Thank you for the info! Yes we are trying BC for the first time in 9 days, May 2-8.

Thank You for the quick reply , I was able to link the pass the gave me but has not yet been activated but now shows up in the system . After I did this I was able to make all my fast pass selections:banana::banana::banana: . Thanks again:thumbsup2

You know, that just makes me very sad for those guests. I realize they could do their own research and found information to the contrary, but they did go through a Disney-certified TA which says they were at least trying to do it right.

And it used to be a travel agent was the way to go, helping you plan your vacation to places you haven't been. Providing insight. Helping make your vacation better than it would have been otherwise. That actually is ... I mean was ... their job. But like many things, they aren't what they used to be. Unfortunately for that guest, the TA thinks their job is just typing on a keyboard, nothing more. They typed up the letter saying it was so and that's where their responsibility ends.

Although she may have this information wrong, regarding mouse-keeping, she has been great. I've inundated her with emails and she has been very supportive and genuinely happy to answer questions. We've been assuming a midweek visit from mouse-keeping, so this is a pleasant surprise.

That agent is a pure embarrassment! I am an Earmarked agent. Any agent can be "certified" by taking their online travel agent course. Unfortunately, that is not enough, in my opinion, for an agent to really know Disney--just enough to sell it. *sigh.

It's really a shame. There are some really good TAs out there but OMG, you would not believe the stuff guests tell us. I was so mad a few years ago. A grandfather brought his entire family after his wife passed away. He had 3 kids, each with a spouse and a total of 9 grandchildren. He paid for everything. The travel agent he used oversold him everything. He had never been to WDW and knew nothing. They sold him park hoppers with no expiration and water parks and fun on them... five days. He was here 6 days so there weren't going to be any leftover except for the water parks. He was not planning on returning with the family either. He was sold deluxe dining plan for everybody. Most of the time they spent at SAB ... never did water parks ... used their table services at Hurricane Hannah's and Beaches and Cream and the Marketplace. The children didn't want to go to nice restaurants to sit down. They all went off on their own, leaving Granddad to do nothing but talk to me in the lobby. He never went to any park, he never had a sit-down meal with the family except I got him to go to the Captain's Grill by himself once for a nice lunch. All that money was sooooo wasted.

I certainly don't know the answer for people who don't know Disney, do not want to spend time learning Disney and want a travel agent to book everything. How to find the right one that won't oversell and really knows what they are talking about? How does one find that good TA? I have no idea.

I totally understand the need to get answers about the coffee situation as soon as possible.

I would think the regular filters would work, but you may need to cut or fold them down. What I usually do is bring Maxwell House coffee pods so I don't have to bother with loose coffee and filters. They make 4 cups each and you can use one or two depending on the size of the carafe and the strength of the coffee you want.

Thanks for answering! I was hoping to bring "my" coffee, but the pods would be easier, for sure.

This really upsets me that an agent would be so greedy! I try very hard to to help clients with what they want/need. In fact, I believe I've talked more people OUT of upgrading to the Water Parks feature based on their # of days and helping plan an itinerary. And I have never suggested a no-expiration on tickets. I'm not trying to market myself here. I just had to speak up because it really made me "sick" to see people get taken advantage of. Disney is NOT cheap, and everyone deserves to have the best possible vacation as possible, within budget and reason. I would say that someone ask friends/family/coworkers if they have used a Disney agent and if they were happy. Referrals are the best.

Wow! I feel so badly for that Grandpa. What was supposed to be a nice vacation for everyone turned out to be an expensive, lonely one for him. This makes me sad. Everyone deserves a magical trip and not to be taken advantage of. I hope karma comes back and bites that TA in the booty!

When guests purchase tickets in my store I tell them they can always add the PH, non-expiration and WP&M options when they get down there. And I tell then to take a picture of the backs of their tickets in case they get lost. I hate to hear of people spending more than they have to on their trips.

@ Nannette- thanks for posting that link

I have a grocery order form/price list from March 2013. According to this form:

Kraft Cheese: American Slices 8 slices for $3.95

For yogurt, I see Dannon Yogurt Mixed Berry, 6 oz for $1.99- I don't see gogurt listed.

Bananas, and other fruit (apples, oranges, grapefruit) are listed at $1.49 each

Hey Dee, I just checked the DVC member website for BCV and downloaded the latest version of the grocery order form. It's dated 09/17/2013, so it's newer than the one you have. I e-mailed it to you.

The prices for these three items are the same on the new list. I don't know if anything else has changed. I haven't compared the two lists.

Hello all! For buses to AK, are YC and BC sharing the bus? If so, who gets picked up first? Also, any other stops along the way other than AK? Thanks !

YC and BC always share buses in my experience. Occasionally, buses are shared with S/D and BWI. This doesn't happen often. When it's just BC/YC, YC gets picked up first...and on the way back, YC gets dropped off first. When all the Epcot resorts share, the order is usually BWI, S/D, YC, BC.

Thanks scottmc! Wonder what dictates only YC/BC as opposed to s/d, BWI, YC/BC? Maybe how busy the resorts and parks are? Hmmmm....
Either way, have to take the bus, was just wondering the route. Thanks!
