To you, and our other friends on the Gulf or in the path-

Hope everyone stays safe. Sending positive thoughts in your direction. Check in when you can and let us know how you are!

:grouphug:

Thanks for the positive thoughts. :littleangel: We've been boarding up the windows, putting everything we can away that could fly, got the generator out, & DH is getting some sand bags. So hopefully it'll all be okay. We just have to wait it out.

There is a key reader there, but I have never heard that you need your keys to get in. I don't know if it is locked at some point in the evenings or when that is.

Also don't know if the new RFID system has had any impact on whether that door is locked with key access required.

But I am not aware of any issues.

When I was ther this past June I was on the second floor room next to the stairway by the Volleyball Court . I was able to use the door there all day until 7:00pm without using the KTTW , after 7 just swiped the card however after the changed it to the keyless or RFI swipe I could no longer get in after 7:00pm . I think maybe they just hadn't set it up for access yet . So maybe that would be the case with the secret door entrance . Just a thought , enjoy and stay cool . Love those short cuts :thumbsup2

thanks I'll have a look at their websites. Do you know by any chance how easy it is to get a taxi from a shopping mall in Orlando back to a resort or would we need to back - sorry for the idiot question but we truly have no idea:confused3

Not 100% sure but I do remember seeing taxi stands, especially at the outlets. It shouldn't be an issue. We always have a great time shopping there. We go to the outlets and malls multiple times so if you have any questions let me know.

We just were at the pool until a storm rolled in. I checked out the relocation of HH to the arcade. In the far left corner they have a station set up. They have burgers, hot dogs and chicken wraps set up in buffet style holders and salads and some wraps in a stand up refrigerator, which is next to a fridge full of beverages.

It looks pretty well done.

I've seen people mention that BC/YC guests are allowed to use the gym facilities at BW while the renovation is going on--would this extend to the showers/lockers as well? We were thinking of visiting SAB on our last day, so we will already be checked out and will need a place to shower and change...it seems pretty inconvenient though to have to walk all the way down the boardwalk in our bathing suits to take a shower :(

What view can you get with a Garden View CL room at the YC? ... The view is not of the parking lot and/or rooftop, is it? ... Thanx :)

Thank you. We really are mall/outlet novices. We never get the opportunity to visit anywhere but DTD as DH AND DS hate shopping. However, we are thinking of going to Seaworld this year and wondering about going via taxi to some shops after our day and before heading back to BC. Any advice is much appreciated.

GV views should not be of pariking lots or rooftops, that would be standard view. The best view you can hope for at the YC with a GV room is the one overlooking the wedding gazebo. The worst, some trees and other green matter. The rooms were graded with the changes that took place at the beginning of the year so that SV is rooftop and parking lot, WV is water (pool, lake, SAB) and GV would be everything else (green space). Hope this helps. Have fun planning!

YCFAN. Don't leave. We WILL stalk you :smooth: .

Move over Mickey T! Here's another hiney for the YCFAN bandwagon....

Right now I'm across the street in the bushes and I'm wearing a pith helmet and an itsy bitsy, teenie weenie, polka dot bikini! You'd better get busy on these boards or I'm going to go around your neighborhood and introduce myself to your neighbors as your best Dis-Boards friend!

Would someone please share information on the phone booth calls in the United Kingdom? It was talked about earlier either here or on NH's live trip report.

What happens when you call?
Does someone have the phone numbers so we can take them with us?

I love all the surprise magic Disney has.

Ninja Mom - You always make me laugh or at least smile with you posts. I love your sence of humor and timing. How are your parents doing? You all are in my prayers.

Phone numbers for booths in United Kingdom

Right Booth 407-827-9861
Left Booth 407-827-9862
Center Booth 407-827-9863

Now, I'm not sure which is which. They used to be all in one row, now I think there are two together and one over by the Rose & Crown.

The phones are operational, so when you call, if someone is there and picks up, you can talk to them.

So, you can either trick your family (say you are going to take a picture, then call) or you can call unsuspecting guests.

I have called once or twice from my home and asked if the Queen was able to come to the phone.

Sometimes people will answer. Sometimes they are too stunned and won't or when you start talking they hang up immediately.

Canada is reportedly 407-827-9884. I haven't personally verified this.

Have fun!!!
