HI all.....

Happy Birthday to all of the Birthday celebrators!!!!
:bday: :bday:

We're also staying at the Hyatt the night before the cruise. Made our plane reservations last month - but have had the Hyatt reservations for awhile. We are planning on doing WDW and MVMCP as we get in early in the day - and still have a day left on our last set of Park Hoppers. Have to get the tickets for MVMCP though.....

Well - working 1-10p today..... so back to the patients....

Hope to be back later....

Happy Birthday wishes to everyone who has a birthday today!!!!!

We will be flying in to Orlando the Tuesday late evening before we cruise. We will be staying off site at the Marriott Grand Vista near Sea World. We plan on doing the WDW,MVMCP and Sea World. The children would like to go to Animal Kindom if we can fit it in. They have never been to AK. I do not want to tire them out so they can't enjoy it all.

Charlotte or Stacey what is CP stand for?? I am sure as soon as you tell me I will be wondering why I could not figure it out myself!!

Beautiful day in NY. Summer is on it's way.

Enjoy the day. Gail:earsgirl:

Hi Gail!

I can answer the CP question for you.

And the answer is............................

The Candelight Pocessional at EPCOT!

Paul

Gail, CP is Candlelight Processional. That is held at Epcot during the holidays. DD and I were supposed to do it last year, but it was too darn cold to sit at the American Adventure outdoor pavillion and listen to it. We really wanted to do it, but could not stand the cold. You dont' have to get a ticket for it, as it is open to all park guests, but it helps. Tickets are for dinner and preferred seating, like the Fantasmic dining package.

Hi GlenelgMom

Just checked out Blob's Park website. Looks like a lot of fun.
I'll keep it in mind the next time I'm down in that area.
Menu looks good. ( thinking about food again )
Lots of different types of beer as well.
Can anyone go there or must you be a member there?

Have a great day.

Thanks to all for the birthday wishes.

Just another work day for me. Maybe I'll get taken out to dinner tonight!!!!

Okay, what is MVMCP? I'm trying to figure it out, but being here on the west side of the USA, I'm not as WDW'd as the rest of you guys!

Didn't realize so many of us had birthdays today. Birthday wishes to all of us!!! Hope all your wishes come true.

Okay, back to work, got tons to do.

Linda

MVMCP = Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.....

I haven't been there yet - but from the descriptions on various websites - it sounds like a blast - they even make snow on MainStreet. It costs extra - $45 for adults but they close the Magic Kingdom and allow only ticket holders in. You can read more about it here MVMCP or MVMCP2004

Since we've done WDW for the last two holiday seasons - a little insight for those who haven't been yet.

CP = Candlelight Processional is held at the American Garden theatre. It consists of the following:

A large combined choir made up of two or more usually High School Choirs dressed in gold robes and carrying candles (battery operated).

A choir made up of WDW cast members. They are dressed in green, also carry candles and form a Christmas Tree at the center of the stage.

The Voices of Liberty Group from the American Adventure. The men usually in tuxes, the woman in red gowns.

An orchestra (can't remember if this is Disney or locals). All in black tuxes and gowns.

A guest narrator. We have in the past had David Hartman and Ben Vereen. They usually do 2-3 nights and then someone else takes over.

The narrator starts reading the Christmas Story. At the appropriate times the choirs join in with a carol and then back to the story, back to singing, etc.

It is a beautful performance that lasts about 45 minutes. If you are on one of the dinner packages (priced based on where you will be eating) you get into the line that gets in first and your are guaranteed a seat. If you don't want the dinner package you can get in a separate line that opens once those in the dinner line are let in.

A great way to get into the spirit of Christmas.

MMVCP = Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

This is a hard ticket event (meaning you need a separate ticket) and runs from 6 pm to Midnight (but you can usually get in with your ticket at 4pm or so.

There are special stage shows and readings that go on all around the Magic Kingdom.

There is a special Christmas Parade (the one you used to see on TV) with the large wooden soldiers and ending with Santa Clause.

There are free cookies and hot cocoa available. You get a button (not a pin - but they do sell special pins for these nights) and a free family photo (taken that night and then mailed to you).

Yes they make it snow on Main Street. They also have special fireworks that are wonderful. At one point they circle the Kingdom with the fireworks. It is amazing!

I highly recommend this event!

OK - couldn't resist getting a TOP.....

It is sorta crazy - us sitting here discussing Christmas parties and such........

No apologies needed, but the smiliey is cute!

I was done rambling on about the fun things to do at WDW at Holiday time.

Hi there....
Not the greatest day today. Will try to "get happy" while Jordan opens her gifts in a few minutes.

At Disneyland, they have the Christmas parade, hot cocoa, snow, etc.....and it's free!!!! Special fireworks and music. But, sshhh, don't tell them that WDW charges extra for it!!!!

Hopefully back later when I'm in a better mood.

Stacey
