Thanks for the welcome back.

Disney1fan2002 - yes I am able to walk. While I was still in the sling I would tag along with Lynne when she had her long runs. I usually walked between 5 and 8 miles while she was doing much more. I even went on a specific 30 min walk around OKW while at WDW.

I am still trying to get coaught up with everything and don't seem to get settled down until 8 each night. I should just hit the TM every morning before work. I wake up early enough.

I will catch up with everyone later. I have been at clients all morning and have to leave for PT at 2:15 so I should try an get some work done.

Hello fellow losers! I'm sory I have been away for awhile, I've been at my SIL's house. I will post my gains when I get home to weigh in, but I am not able to check here. I will read all the posts later but right now I have to go because my laptop battery is about to die!!:badpc: Good luck, and, or Congrats to all of you ;) Talk to you in a couple of days.

Well, another week is here with another opportunity to get busy and get some weight off!!! pixiedust: Good luck to everyone this week! Watch what you are eating, drink water, drink water, drink water the drink some more!! And exercise! ;)

I lost 1 pound last week :yay: hopefully that means I am off the plateau that I have been on.

Shelly we look forward to hearing about your weigh in! Fingers are crossed! :)

Dona, that's a long time to be with the band! Wow! :cheer2:

Kathy, good luck with your busy schedule and take care of yourself! :grouphug:

We are still looking for some of you who are lurking to post! Let us hear from you! :flower3:

Good morning all...
Happy to report I've finally broken though my Dec plateau, and am now down 51 lbs...woo hoo. It took adding yet more weight and sitting on my hands to keep from snacking at night, but it paid off. So hang in there everyone...minor setbacks and plateaus happen you just need to stay focused --or get focussed again :) -- and barrel through them.

Good luck in 2007.

Congrats Wendy on 2 out of 3 schools. We start that search in April for my son who is a junior. It is so nice to hear someone only applying to 3 schools. Many of my students apply to a lot more. Money is so tricky. My husband and I make too much for my sons to get financial scholarships but my younger son is pretty bright and may get some merit scholarships.

KAthy Where are you? I know she is around.

Thanks! Yep, DS wants to be a pyrotechnical engineer. Now, if we could find a school that offers that, but for now he is going to focus on chemical engineering. He wants to work at WDW doing fireworks. Or water reclimation. He has always said he is going to get married at WDW. I asked what if your girl doesn't want that. His response was --do you think I would marry someone that wasn't a huge disney fan? :goodvibes Yeah for him!

Wendy

Hi,

I'm really mad at myself, but I can't seem to stop the eating. I guess I need some kind of catchy phrase so I will think before I eat. Any ideas?

Maria

Now, this isn't a catchy phrase, but my always in shape aunt used to have a mirror hanging from the second shelf in her frig. she said it kept her from snacking. And not to be a damp sponge, my DR said that carrots have a lot of sugar in them. Maybe celery?

Good luck!

Wendy

Wow--sounds like a lot of activity for all!

Thanks so much for the trip report Kathy! SO glad you had a great time!

Sounds like everyone is getting into gear again with the new year and holidays over. I am back on the TM again. DS has a portable DVD player that sits just nicely on the front, so for the last 2 walks, I have been watching Josh Groban in concert. It makes it easier and the 40 minutes is up to 45. Just great! I will have to get a DVD of the Disney Parks so I can use that next!

I read that Disney1fan is doing crunches. :cheer2: Wonderful!

DH is on his way in, so I must be off. I am working 3-12's all week, so lunches are the only time I will see him. The price we pay for financial stability!

Great losses to all, have a great day, welcome to the newbies, and remember we are the best!

Wendy

Hi everyone. Where are you all?

I was great yesterday until I started to cook dinner then I went off target. So far today I have been doing okay. I even walked this morning. I was planning on doing some yoga since I still had 20 minutes until I showered but I didn't get any in. Maybe tonight. dh has bowling and then jazz band so it will just be dh and myself tonight.

I have been busy at work trying to get the end of the marking period stuff done. I am still working on two exams that need to be finalized but they are better than ther were last week.

Wendy. My son wants to be an engineer also. He wants to be either civil or electrical. My neice wants to do stuff with renewable resources. Between the two of them they could have a nice little firm going or maybe they will both decide to work for Disney. Dh applied for a 4 week summer program on engineering through the state of NJ. DOn't know if he will make it since they only take 100 kids but we can hope can't we. He is such a great kid that I would love to see him have an opportunity like that to put on his resume. No that it needs it. He wrote it up the other night for his Eagle application and it came out to be 1 and a half pages long

Got a class to go to. Talk to you soon.

Dona, Good luck on his acceptance. Last summer son did a summer youth program at Mich Tech. It was very good for him. His team won 2 of the 3 competitions! He was very proud of himself. A great confirmation that he is on the right track. Although he is really good in accounting, and DH has mentioned that CPAs are the 3rd in demand for jobs. Hmmmm....how may CPAs does Disney need?:)

Time to go and see my DR. Been having a few issues with the Fibromyalgia so we will see what goes on.

Good luck to all, and great losses!

Wendy

Hey losers!! Are you working out and eating right???? Drinking all that water? Staying motivated can be a problem in the colder months but just think about that bathing suit and your unveiling at the beach in summer!! :woohoo: :rotfl2:

I joined the gym last night. I figured since I only have 12 pounds to go til goal I needed to start tightening everything up and try to get things back where they belong!! :rotfl: I start working with a trainer next week and am soooo excited! :yay:

Dona and wendy it is so good to hear abut kids who have a plan. My youngest has changed her major 3 times already and we are only in the second year.....ugh!

Keep on pushing on!!

Melissa My friiend's son changed his major before he finished the 1st marking period of senior year and the shcool that he applied to and was accepted at does not have that major.

Good luck at the gym. I joined one a couple of years ago and then had problems with my feet and I hated their bikes. I also hated the music and they no tv so when renewal time came up I used the money I would have spent on a bike and put it in the basement. Yess I do use it.

Wendy I hope that the dr appointment went okay.

Welcome Lennon

Go throw that creamsicle out if you feel that you have to. THis is hard work and it stinks sometimes but it is something that you need to keep at or you will lose (and I don't mean in a good way).

Everyone of us here is on a journey. It only takes a step at a time and sometimes that step is backwards but our focus is always ahead.

Welcome :welcome: :welcome:

Hello to everyone! I am finally back from Dallas and ready to start being a loser again.

I just dropped DH off at the airport, he's on his way to Korea right now :sad1: . I cried, but not too much because we're getting used to this which is kinda sad. I never get used to being lonely though, this time I don't even have a friend here. My one friend moved and I have not found anyone else to "hang out" with. It's gonna be a LOOOONG year. On the up side, DH comes home in August for a month and we get to spend 10 nights at WDW  !!!!! I have us booked at a Boardwalk Villas studio with a boardwalk view, which is what DH wanted so we have that to plan and look forward to.

Now for the good stuff, I weighed myself right before I went to my SIL's house and I was 181, yesterday I was 182. Not too bad! I told DH that I would weigh less then he does when he gets back in a year, that means I have to lose about 30-35 pounds. So I now have a goal to work towards.

Since I have not had time to completely read through what I have missed, I'll just say congrats and welcome to all!

Awww Michelle, I know you are gonna miss him but the year will go fast and you will be a svelt new you when he gets back!!! I am so jealous you are getting the view at Disney I have always wanted!!! :woohoo: And as far as that one pound weight gain WTG that's not so bad! Get busy and kick those unwanted pounds to the curb! :yay: You can do it, we are all behind you!!!!! :cheer2: :grouphug:

Hi,

Checking in again and determined to finally do what I keep saying I will. I actually started by getting back "on" FlyLady, and that has helped tremendously. Seeing my shiny sink and clean kitchen makes me want to eat good food. And, not living in a mess makes me feel like I do have time to workout.

As you will see, I put the "Donald" in my signature. Yep, I am committing to doing the half marathon next year. I am going to get reservations for dh and I soon, and sign up. That simple act has made it real for me.

So, let's all start posting tips and ideas again! Even if you think everyone has already heard it, I guarantee it's new (or been forgotten) by someone. Here's mine -- try to limit the diet soda, because recent studies have shown it actually makes you more hungry.

Let' Get It Started!
Maria

Maria, WTG on making those commitments!! :woohoo: Isn't it amazing what a clean shinny sink will make! :lmao:

Making small changes here and there certainly makes a BIG difference. I try to add one more change every week then I don't feel deprived. I haven't eaten sweets since October and really don't miss them or am I tempted by them. Sodas are evil in my book. I stopped drinking them last January and it took a few months to get completely weaned off but now when I drink too much (more than 1 in a day) I get sick at my stomach.

C'mon everybody let's get moving WE CAN DO IT!! Whatever your goal is you can reach it!!! We are all here to support you!! :grouphug:

Keep adding those tips!!
