Mixed points Direct and resale

I know I should know this but the issue hasn't arisen for us before. I have direct points at BLT and resale at SSR. My question is, as I don't have quite enough points for BLT for our next trip, can I use a combination of the points but still book at the 11 month mark? It doesn';t seem likely but one can only hope

No, but that has nothing to do with direct vs. resale. It has to do with home resort. Between 11 and 7. months prior to check in, you can only use your BLT points at BLT, and can only use your SSR points at SSR. At seven months, you can combine them for a BLT reservation.

(There are other potential restrictions on using resale points, but it depends on when you bought them, and they would not prevent you from using them at BLT.)

You can borrow BLT points from the future year to make the reservation, but borrowing is a final transaction, and they can't be put back if you decide to cancel the trip.

Thank you all. I think I'll make 2 reservations at my home resorts and cross fingers there are 2 days free at the 7 month. I can't borrow unfortunately as that will cause issues for next year's trip which is a special birthday trip for my DH
