Good morning on this freezing Monday for most of us except Denise and Stace...who are trying to make us jealous. I hate Mondays!!!!! Get to clean up the weekends worth of mess, new homework assignments for kids, ballet for daughter, store, .....I"m tired already.

Hey Garry, did you get much snow? How about you, Lampy??

We got about an inch or two overall between Friday night and yesterday.

So how is everyone this morning? Did you all survive the weekend? I think I did though I am still as tired as I was on Friday and we really didn't do anything!

Today is DH's birthday and he gets to spend the night at the sleep lab over at the hospital. They want to find out if he has sleep apnea. Then tomorrow night we are going to see B.B. King! That should be fun.

Walter and Lampskies---did you turkey cruisers get a group discount? I wonder if they will do that on holidays or special cruises.

Walter? At least that is better than Scotty! Judy, Judy, Judy.

Anyway, to answer your question. No, we did not ask for a group discount because we had all already booked when we met on the DIS. Al of us that had late seating got our ressies linked together so that we could all sit with or near each other each evening. That was pretty cool. We had about 9 big tables.
Also, we did a Palo brunch with about 22 of us. we booked them separately for the same morning. But I went to the Palo reservations when we boarded
and the manager saw we were all linked as a large group, he let us use the private room, and a table just outside it so we could all sit together.
Also, any time they would look up something on your ressie, they would comment Wow, you are with a big group!
But I don't know if it helped too much being linked, really.

We did Costa Maya in November on the Thanksgiving cruise. It was Ok. we went to Tequila Beach. It was a 3 minute cab ride.

Willie, I am sorry. The funny thing is my brothers inlaw is Walter Miller from Texas too. I am a bonehead. Guess I am the one that looks like I ve been hanging out in the bars. I was worse last week------The pastor of our church wanted to have dinner with my husband last week and it was a choice of Tues or Thurs. We talked about it and decided DH wanted to be home for survivor on Thurs. So he would do Tues. Well somewhere between I got sidetracked by my 3 yo, I RSVPd for Tues and wrote Thurs on the calendar. SO Dale did not show up on Tues. The worst part was telling DH that I did it. I am usually so together and organized. Just scatterbrained lately. It s being over 40 and having too much on my plate.

Judy, I know what you mean about being scatterbrained! That has been me the past couple of years and I never used to be like that! Oh well, I think you are right about that over 40 thing. I think it started after I hit 40, though I think having kids adds to it!

Don't fret Judy...I definately have that "over 40 senility" thing. If I don't write it down immediately the thought is lost in the abyss..and names......HA!!!! I lucky to remember my own some days.

Kat, we got about 18" here, some surrounding towns got 22", but it got cleaned up pretty quick overnite. My DH did that sleep study. He was told that he has the worst case of sleep apnea he has ever seen. I am an insomniac so I just lie awake in bed sometimes for hours and I can actually tell when he has stopped breathing and then he has the coughing fit to snap out of it. They gave him the breathing machine but he couldn't fall asleep with it on because it was so uncomfortable. Now, it has to be really bad 'casue he can fall asleep on a fence post....he just can't stay asleep. Anyhow, good luck and to DH. I can tell you one thing that has helped mine. When he went on his diet he cut out all soda. He only drinks Crystal Light now. I think all that sugar made things so much worse. And B.B. King, I am very jealous. Have a great time.

Hey gaRry & Sue.....for some reason, with everything that has gone on with me the last couple of weeks I gave up coffee. Don't have any idea why. It just all of a sudden didn't appeal to me at all. Don't know if I'll stick with it, but for now, I am a "tea" drinker. Can I still do the AM DIS Coffee Meet?

Oswald????

Okay remember on the Dis history thing in the Golden Mickeys when they talk about how Walt and Ub Iwerks created a rabbit named Oswald and they in same shape or form alowed it to be stolen right under thier noses due to lack of proper legalities I think,. Universal basically ended up with it and it eventually evolved into Bugs Bunny. In the meantime they had 26 feature shorts with Oswald under Walt. Then he had to create another character to replace Oswald and that was Mickey (Mortimer as Walt wanted to call him). Through a deal to send that sportscaster guy ---Al Michaels over to NBC they were able to negotiate. They could have asked for Money....they asked for the rights to Oswald and all the shorts returned to Disney.!!!!I was so excited to see someone in Disney execs had Walts heart in mind all these years later. So after years its back in their hands where he started. DID I PUT YOU TO SLEEP WITH THE HISTORY? Our kids learn this in school down here. Can you believe it? Major Orlando history.

Judy, thanks for the history! I haven't seen the Golden Mickeys so I had never heard any of that. I know, but DH and DD didn't want to go and I didn't want to go by myself.

Mary Ann, glad to see you back! I need to get my DD to sit down and write an email to Julia! I have been suffering from insomnia myself of late. It started when my doctor took me off one medication which apparently you are supposed to be weaned off of slowly but I was just pulled off of it! I am sleeping some nights now but not others. I have never heard DH stop breathing, though, and no coughing at night so who knows. He has hypothyroid and some other things going on that they are looking into right now so he is sleeping lots right now, poor guy. If they say he has to sleep with oxygen I know that won't happen! And he drinks caffeine free diet soda so little to no sugar or caffeine. Oh well, he will get it sorted out eventually!!

Kat --if they ditch out on you again this cruise, you have gotta go with us. It is awesome!!!!!!!!! Unbelievably so. They will probably have the matinee too and my daughter loves it so much she has to go to both. (I think that defeats the reason they have the matinee but please do not flame me.)

You know I think we can do this 4000 thing tonight.
