Not super recent but I last stayed there in October of last year. I really enjoy it and it's my go-to off-property hotel! My husband is an on-property person but my friend and I are all day park goers and just need somewhere clean and comfy to sleep. We've stayed at The Anaheim Hotel twice now and I will again.
The lobby and staff are great. They always have some type of security outside which is nice, especially since it's been just myself and my friend. I've always been able to check in early. The grounds are beautiful and they have over-sized yard games and twinkle lights that add a nice vibe. The pool is huge and the hot tub is a pretty nice size as well. We are always forgetting stuff and I feel like the shop is reasonably priced for being what it is. The walk is about 8ish minutes to security. We always cross right in front of the hotel, then cross the backstage/bus entrance and walk on the sidewalk closest to the park/under the trees.
Rooms are good, I think the beds are comfy too. Both times we've been on the bottom floor and had a large patio area with chairs and a table. The rooms are definitely older but have upgraded fixtures and the mid-century modern decor. Always been clean and no musty feeling. I guess the walls are a little thin but the only real noise I heard was during a midday break two years ago when they were in the middle of remodeling the room next door. We could hear them banging around a little but that was in the middle of the day so I didn't really expect it to be super quiet anyway! I've never had any issues at night hearing anyone.
This got long, but all that to say that I really enjoy staying there and will be again for sure! I feel like for the location and the price, you can't beat it. There may be closer or nicer options, but if you have a budget and you're wanting to stay as close as possible, it's been a great choice for me!
