Hello Geeks!!!!

I schleped 15 packages to the post office today. I will probably have that many tomorrow. I am sick of packing tape!!! although I am happy with the $$$ I have made!

We have a realtor coming Friday to talk about selling our place. It is no way in shape to list and show yet, but there is one neighbor that may be interested in purchasing it as it sits (would want the land and not care about the house) and she will talk with them for us. This would be a one time, one contact agreement with her. If they are not interested then we will forge ahead with the clearing out, patching, painting and staging. Too much work, I really hope these folks want it.

We also sold 3 black walnut trees and they will be coming Friday also to pay us :dance3: :dance3: :yay: and cut the limbs off of them. We had to have them cut down, but the company that wants them will limb them and then haul them away for processing. $1800 for the 3 of them! :woohoo: Cruise money!!

Sprint will sell you a data plan only service. John is correct in that there are many places with wifi (free and paid). Some McDonalds, Panera Bread, IHOP, Starbucks and other such places have wifi access. Some are free (good :thumbsup2) and some are by the hour rates (not good but if that is all you can get then .... :headache:)

LOL! Noone in this small town has those WiFi set ups at stores. :( I will give Sprint a call to get the rates. I was hoping that it was like a calling card where you paid in advance then used it as you needed to.

I think that I will be able to access it when parked in the carpool line at the school if they have the same computer network that the last one did. The PTO pres had a laptop and we could access it there.

That sounds great, Angie!!! I have never heard of a compnay paying YOU to cut down your trees before. :)

John, I hope that things are going better for you by today...or tomorrow when you read this.

Brandie, way to go!!! It sounds like you did great on Ebay this week. :)

Note to self...order a wireless mouse because that laptop thing just doesn't do it for me. ;)

Good morning guys! Just firing up the laptop for some standby hours this morning before the real shifts start at 1. I am hoping to get some organizing done around the house before picking up Kaitlyn from dance. She is all registered for the fall session now too. :) Have a great day fellow geeks!!!

Just a note Lisa, and advice to your school . . . if they REALLY do allow ANYONE to get online on their network in a school parking lot, they are negligent in protecting their network. Some schools in this area have had some real problems with access to data (not just the internet) when they have left their networks wide open like this. This is not only a concern for the school, but a concern as a parent if the the school information is not adequately protected.

If the wood is valuable and they want it, they will pay you. Black walnut is a beautiful wood and these trees are big enough that they will get 3 foot wide 20 foot long planks. They will make buku (sp) bucks on these trees. The tree buyer told me they had just been contacted by a gentleman who was relocating to Montana who wants a black walnut mantle. The large pieces they will sell for furniture. The smaller pieces they will sell for gun stocks and other woodworking projects.

;)

At our camp in WV we just had a company come in to harvest some trees on part of the property that isn't used. We will get about $50,000 plus they reseed the property so it can be harvested again in a few years. We will use that money to do some upkeep work on the cabins.

Wish I had more trees! :)

Hi guys! I hope you are all having a great day.

Love the new cut. Gee you do something so special and you get to look fabulous after doing so.

Also I can't believe the pics of the kids I see - Dec seems so long ago when I look at how much the children have grown!

Darn! LOoks like I just missed you, Carla! :( Like your new sig lines. :)

DS has an appt on 7/24...preapproval done and everything!!! The office is just down the street from us so will work perfectly.
Yup, yet again. Good luck on the appt, glad to hear things progressing and working out for you.

One last one . . . of course I could not get him to take Bobby with him!
First I thought, Gee whiz John and that Alex seems like such a fine young man - no Bobby? How could he?! But then I realized - although Bobby and he may have met he did not get the opportunity to form a tight and lasting bond during Decembers voyages so I can totally appreciate that he might not have an affinty for him.....yet. :lmao:

Well, if you wanted to go to all the trouble of actually comparing posting times, you would see they were posted here FIRST, then there.:)

Today is cautiously better, but it just started too . . .
Okay I take it back. Not :snooty: :rolleyes1

Awwww. I knew you liked us best!

Hope today continues to go well.

Here I am quoting myself . . .

Sophia and my MIL are in Boston - flight delayed at least 2 hours now. I flew them from Newport News to Boston and then to home. They have been in Logan Airport since 5:30 . . . so today is not going too well either. I just called Carla to ask what gives in Boston - she said weather is fine there!

OK Amy says the current flight status said it left now - big sigh of relief!
Today the weather was miserable John. I still don't know what the deal was with the delay. I told Isabella that Sophia was in Boston and she got all excited until I continued saying "last night, at the airport on a connection home" The ohhh just hung in the air. I almost didn't tell her. She then started asking about her. Wondered about Kaitlyn and the fact that she and Sophia got to see each other. Then she asked about Savannah and pined that it was unfortunate she didn't get a chance to spend time with Savannah and how unfortunate it was we were on the wrong side of the beach...OY.
