Don't you just hate it when the DIS messes up, and you lose a LONG post - especially when it is about what an awful day you had?

Yeah, icing on the cake when you lose your post, did not copy it, and the back arrow button does you no good either.

Well, it's been an awful day, but I cannot bring myself to type the details. Suffice it to say, everyone is well health wise, and it is only money (whether you ten to have it right now or not), and a lot of frustration.

Today is cautiously better, but it just started too . . .

Sophia and my MIL are in Boston - flight delayed at least 2 hours now. I flew them from Newport News to Boston and then to home. They have been in Logan Airport since 5:30 . . . so today is not going too well either. I just called Carla to ask what gives in Boston - she said weather is fine there!

OK Amy says the current flight status said it left now - big sigh of relief!

No, it involves body shops, and turning in a car from a lease. My advice: do NOT lease a vehicle from a bank - use the auto company's leasing service. It did not help (and I did not mention it here) that before Alex went to England he wrecked the car up pretty good (one month before due to be turned in on the lease). He was run off the road by someone left of center who kept going - he ended up fine, but the car ended up against a guardrail.

Thanks for all the comments on my hair. I guess it is good to know that I look younger now but does that mean I looked older to start with? I think part of the reason you think I look younger has more to do with the fact that I am about 30 pounds lighter now than I was on the cruise than it does have to do with my hairstyle.

Exactly why men did not comment on your hairstyle . . . I do think it looks very nice Becka, but your answer to what the women said looks like something Amy would say after I would make such a comment.

All of my crazy ebay posting last week....mean....TONS of ebay packing and shipping this week..... . Such is life....I guess I better get my bum packing...

Here is my first post on my laptop!!! I forgot how long it takes to install everything needed to do my job and now I have to see if Mike has a cable to connect it to the desktop so that I can download my favorites and a few reports for bookkeeping onto this new toy.

Now I just need to find out how to get it set up so that I can take it with me when the kids are doing their practices for guitar, ballet, and soccer. I may as well be able to check in while I am in line for carpool for 30 minutes before the bell rings.

Speaking of which, we still do not know where they will be going to school this coming year. I called yesterday because the sheet said 7/1 and was told that they have a lot to do with the year-round schools because they start next week and they will get to the high schools then the ms then the es maybe in a few weeks. OY!!!! HEads are going to roll if they tell us no and we wont have much time to figure out what to do since I will be disenrolling them before the first day of school there.

Do you need to be connected to the internet whenever you are working, or can you be "off line" to work?

If you need to be constantly online, you may need a magic wireless card like Brack has to get you online wherever you are. If you can download your work and work offline, you may be good to go.

Your laptop has Wi-Fi - so if you are near a free Wi-Fi hotspot, you can get to the internet. What Brack uses is a data plan with a cell phone provider, and that is your only other option if you want to get on the internet "anywhere".

Sprint will sell you a data plan only service. John is correct in that there are many places with wifi (free and paid). Some McDonalds, Panera Bread, IHOP, Starbucks and other such places have wifi access. Some are free (good ) and some are by the hour rates (not good but if that is all you can get then .... )
