It is raining here in chicago area

I've never been out that way. When I was little, I had a grandmother in Dayton, Ohio, but that's the closest.

I'm really sorry that I maybe haven't seen it before, but I don't know your name.

Just found out that DGD5 went to school the last couple of days. But is sick again and DS is going to pick her up now. I better make sure her favorite nightgown is ready for her.

Dianne,
How is the little one feeling? Better I hope. DS didn't feel well last night, but after I let him sleep until noon today, he seems much better. :thumbsup2

We've been lucky enough to see three shuttle launches.

1998 we got to see John Glenn return to space. That was our closest one as we were on a beach across the river from the launch. It was awesome!

I think it was 2006 where we got to see a night launch from the boat dock at the Poly. That was really cool and would have loved to have been closer for that.

On the 2007 Member Cruise they launch on our sea day. It was right after we got out of Palo for brunch. I watched it on the jumbotron and then you could see the contrails in the distance.

The only one I have seen was from the 2007 SSMC, I thought it was an incredible sight.

Wow, how I envy you Mary! Our whole family is pretty fascinated with the space program and we love to visit the Kennedy Space Center. Now the little one has decided that after getting accepted to the Naval Academy and becoming a naval aviator, he wants to be an astronaut. I like it when they dream big!!

I am here to! But no one was on so I had no one to talk to.

Mark,

Is this not strange weather we are having? I had my air on last night now this morning I have it off and the windows open. It is only 66 by me. We have a nice breeze.

Hi Flo,

We are still stuck in the hot and muggies. It is 86 and very humid here again, hopefully we will cool off by the end of the week.

I really wish we could turn off our air. I like it when I can open the windows, but DH hates the humidity, especially after he's been working in it all day. Not to mention the fact that it's costing us a small fortune to keep it on!

I'm able to stand at the end of our street and see the launches. We're about 70 miles NW of Port Canaveral. When our cable system carried HDNet, I would watch the launch on TV then run outside to see it.

That must be amazing to see, especially the night launches.

Hi Sue!

Can you still put your up in a pony tail? I will get mine cut next week but for the cruise I want to be able to put up in a pony tail.

No. But I'm kinda upset today. The more I look at it the more I don't like it. I'v been going to the same hairdresser for a long time, but I may have to change. I'm going to give it a few days and think about it, but I may have to get it cut again. :sad1:
