Just found out that DGD5 went to school the last couple of days. But is sick again and DS is going to pick her up now. I better make sure her favorite nightgown is ready for her.

Well I must leave for work now, everyone have a great day!

Ok, I'm bad. I can't remember reading this and can't remember for sure who's SIL was doing an 18 wheel drive challenge, I think it is Dianne or Sue (?), but I never heard how he did in the competition. I hope he did well.

Chris - so sorry to hear this. Since this is what I'm going through if I can be of any help please let me know.

Mary - Last night I was really bummed out and I feel bad since I know you are going through a tough time too. It just seems that DH's family is going down hill really fast all of a sudden and it is a lot to digest. I really appreciate your offer of help though. You are one stong lady and I can't wait to meet you. You are in my thoughts. :littleangel:

Finally got through all the posts. Wow.

Sorry for those who have had a rough time with kids, cancer, drugs etc. We are not without some of those in our family too. And it is hard. Which I hate to say is getting harder every day. Lost my father in law in Jan 2008 to lung cancer, and almost a year to the day we found out my brother in law has brain cancer and now, just this week, my mother in law has colon cancer. So, yeah, sorry, I'm bummed. :sad1:

Chris- I am so sorry to hear, we will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers:grouphug:

Well, I remember reading about it to and it wasn't me (this Sue) maybe the other Sue. But I was having my second cup of coffee and tried to scan back to the second thread to try to find it - nothing I put in came up on the search - but no luck! So hopeful, everyone will read your post and we'll find out! :confused3

Chris it is never easy but what has really helped me is the great support I've received. Mark has been my rock and constantly looking after me.

I've also had great support from some many friends all over the country even those friends I haven't met yet.:) They prayers and pixie dust really work. So again if there is anything I can do for you or your MIL please let me know.

yes you can, sometimes you need to request them a few days in advance, in case they need to order them in for you.

Dianne,

Thanks for the heads up. I figure this way it will be less bulkey.

Hope you DGD feels better to.:grouphug:

Well, the news is not good for the crew of the space shuttle - the mission got scrubbed again today. But as they say, a silver-lining may be if they continue to hit bad weather or such, maybe we'll be lucky enough to see them blasted off!! ;)

Thanks everyone for the tips
and of course
the Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah tip of the Day!

I now have a tablet sitting next to the computer, which I should have done weeks ago, and am writing down all of the little things I want to remember to take on the cruise! :thumbsup2

According to an article on orlandosentinel.com, the current launch window closes Monday. If that is missed, the mission might have to wait until October.

Here is one that is supposed to go up when we are on the cruise.

Date: Sept. 15
Mission: STSS Demonstrators Program - Missile Defense Agency
Launch Vehicle: United Launch Alliance Delta II
Launch Site: Cape Canaveral Air Force Station - Launch Complex 17, Pad B
Launch Window: 8 - 9 p.m. EDT
Description: STSS Demonstrators Program is a midcourse tracking technology demonstrator and is part of an evolving ballistic missile defense system. STSS is capable of tracking objects after boost phase and provides trajectory information to other sensors and interceptors. To be launched by NASA for the Missile Defense Agency.

Wanted to share this photo of DS on CC during the SSMC05. We were talking about DVC stuff and the beach balls - here he is with one. It was a great day on the beach - very breezy though because of the passing hurricane!

Hope everyone is dreaming happy thoughts about our cruise - I can't wait!! :cool1:
