Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will undergo refurbishment from mid-May 2025 to September 2025. All resort amenities will remain available but guests may notice construction work during the day.

This times 1,000! I really dislike the current “queen” bed and couch, 2 beds would be ideal but you hardly see these so a “queen” and a Murphy is an ideal compromise. Here’s hoping!

Are the holiday decorations up? I have a trip in a couple of weeks and managed to snag 3 nights at CCV at the end (stalking & WL), and am getting excited already. I bought a contract so definitely will be staying there longer next year.

We were there over Thanksgiving last year. They went up maybe the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Sorry I don't remember, I woke up super early though and got loads of pictures of the tree and such going up. It was very impressive.

4th of July we will be visiting with extended family who have not been to Disney before. They will have been to all the parks and this will be the last full of day of their stay. Assuming we are not going to a theme park that day, what ideas do you all have that would be fun for the 4th?

Things like mini golf will be open, and I believe the stables at Ft. Wilderness will be too, although probably best to check!

But I most wanted to say that I would end the evening at the TTC ferry dock, watching the MK fireworks and listening to the piped-in music. The fireworks are set off from around the Seven Seas Lagoon, and from the TTC you can see the full 180° show. There’s a photo somewhere here on DISboards, and it’s amazing!

I second this! It is a great view of the fireworks without the crushing crowds in the FL heat. I have played 1 round of the mini golf and it was a lot of fun!

Unpopular opinion but I’d prefer Wifi that’s reliable over the Murphy beds.

I am not surprised a decision (previously mentioned it being unlikely) hasn’t been made on the Murphy beds. The soffit above the sofa in Copper Creek make it much more difficult since the height necessary isn’t likely there. So to add them to copper Creek probably requires a bit more structural changes than the other resort it was added to thus far.

I'm concerned about the part I bolded (larger presence of IP). I'm not going to jump to any conclusions but I sure hope it's subtle, as in nothing like what they did at CR with The Incredibles.

I may be the only one with this unpopular opinion, but I'm not excited about the murphy beds. Granted, I'm not a fan of the pull-out couches either, but that's why I joined DVC. I wanted an affordable way that my wife, my children and I could stay in a bedroom and sleep on a real bed.

I'm honestly more excited for the soft goods refurbishment. To each their own I guess.
