If you check in on the last day of the AP rate discount you would be able to get that rate the entire time - as long as it's available. For an example, we are checking in on March 30, the last day the AP rates are available, and we have that rate through April 7. I believe discount codes are...

An AP discount can only be applied to an existing reservation if the same room type is available for the discount on those dates. Many times you will need to be flexible with resort choice. I only make a reservation when the discounts come out, because, basically I am not willing to pay rack rate.

They will only switch your rate to an AP rate if there is a room available for those dates at the discounted rate. I personally don't book a room until rates come out. If I'm not willing to pay rack rate I won't make a reservation for it. If you're willing to pay rack rate at the resort...

This year the discount was: Value $23 off rack rate Moderate $46 off rack rate Values were $59 a night, moderates were $99

For check-ins June 4 - 19th there were no AP rates for any resorts. For June 20 - Aug 5 there were only AP rates for select DVC and deluxe resorts.

I wait for the rates to be released before I book anything. I won't book a room at rack rate when I'm not willing to pay that much, and I won't make a reservation for the code to be applied to because I believe that defeats Disney's whole purpose of releasing AP rates. Why release discounted...

Hopefully someone can help me out... We want to go to the Daughtry concert on April 7th. I read in a flier Universal sent us that we get in free with our annual passes.:woohoo: Where exactly do the concerts take place? Are they in Universal, IOA, or CityWalk?

This year they were/are: Travel dates: 1/1/07-2/14/07. Discounts are $23 off per night at Value resorts ($59/night), $46 off per night at Moderate resorts ($99/night) and $80 off per night at Deluxe and DVC resorts. They were released November 1. :)

Here's the dates: 02/25-03/07 - Peak Season Rate before discount 05/28-06/03 - Summer Season Rate before discount 08/21-10/06 - Value Season Rate before discount 10/21-11/03 - Regular Season Rate before discount 11/11-11/16 - Regular Season Rate before discount 12/09-12/22 - Value Season...

That is rack rate. A preferred room at POP would be $94 a night before taxes during value season. Do you have AAA?

An Ap rate can only be "applied" to an existing reservation if there is an empty room available for the discount for those dates. And if all the rooms are booked at rack rate, then there is no need to offer an AP discount. (Last June, no AP rates were offered)

If I remember right, the AP discount for that time frame last year was $75 off rack rate for deluxes.

This worked perfectly for me!:thumbsup2 I called last night for Labor Day weekend, amd was told no. I called this morning and told her this, she asked for the code, and I got AKL pool view with bunk beds for $150 a night!:banana:
