Wooden popsicle sticks against my teeth-or someone else's for that matter, the sound of someone's knuckles cracking, and kissing noises-as in when someone kisses the air - all make me sick to my stomach. I also have an issue with small children who are in desperate need of a hair cut - please don't take offense to this if your children didn't have haircuts till they were a little older because of religious or even just superstitious beliefs. That's not what I'm talking about - I'm talking about children who constantly have hair in their eyes, and who's hair is so long it gets , and looks like it hasn't been brushed - makes me want to whip out a pair of scissors!

I don't think that's unusual! And let me add to the list ... little kiddles that put mittens in their mouths *blood runs cold shudder* and styrofoam cups *blood runs cold shudder*.

 :teeth:

I hate being interrupted. I HATE repeating myself. If I've said it once...and maybe said it twice...why the heck do I have to say it the THIRD TIME???

I also really despise talking on the phone. I'm just not a phone person, I guess.

And "picking" at finger and toenails where it makes that annoying snapping sound. Uuugghhh.

I discovered a new pet peeve just recently. I've encountered several shoppers this week who noisily shuffled along through the store while wearing flip flops. I found that this drives me absolutely bonkers. Please, people, DO NOT shuffle - especially if you are wearing flip flops.

*** When merging onto the highway or onto another road, people who cross over on the solid line instead of waiting where the line becomes dotted to merge *** Ughhh that so bugs me...then I have to yeild to them when they were behind me to begin with!!!!

A pet peeve on different (not just DIS) boards - people who don't know the difference between "I could care less" and "I couldn't care less".

Also, those who feel that when pluralizing a word (adding an s), they should also add an apostrophe (i.e. menu's).

I have many! One of my top ones is that I HATE getting a busy signal when I call someone, but I also hate when people tell me to "hold on" so they can answer thier call waiting! Errrrr! Bugs the crap out of me! LOL

PEEVES:

When people say "idear." As in "I have a great ideaR!"

People who don't use their turn signals.

People who talk on their cell phones while talking to others (waitresses, cashiers, friends, sales clerks) as if they're too important to wait a few minutes to make / take a call.

ugh! I forgot about that one. I avoid using Styrofoam cups as much as possible for fear that they will touch my teeth. But here's something odd - when I have no option but to use a Styrofoam cup, I have a really bad habit of biting them  :confused3

1) people who empty the dishwashwer and leave some of the dishes on the counter! 2) People who empty the trash and don't put a new bag in!!

Oh, that one REALLY gets me! {{{{shudder}}}}

Sepharoonie! I despise talking on the phone too - I've always thought that I was the only one! I especially hate it when I get stuck on the phone with someone who jabbers on and on and on...I feel like I'm going to pull my hair out! But even if it's just to call for a doctors appointment or to call DD's friend to have her come home I still hate the phone although I can't put my finger on exactly what it is I don't like about it.

I also HATE being interrupted (are we twins separated at birth?) - it drives me nuts and I think it is the height of rudeness. People always comment on how amazing it is that my kids will stand there patiently without interrupting while I finish a conversation with someone. They have learned that unless blood is involved, they'd best not interrupt me (or anyone else for that matter).

Now don't even get me started on being interrupted by someone else's call waiting (we don't have it) while I'm talking on the phone! :crazy2:

Me too! I hate that!

Especially when in the same sentence they use another plural word and they spell it correctly--without an apostrophe.

Every Monday at work we teleconference a planning meeting with our home office in Kentucky. This is all done over a regular speaker phone, so it is always hard to here. There is a guy down there who has a nervous habit of banging his pencil/pen on the table over and over again. The speakerphone just amplifies that noise so I can't hear the meeting. Next time, I will bang my pencil on the phone's microphone, and give him a taste of his own medicine.

That's my weird pet peeve.

Pet Peeves: People who crack and pop their gum.

When you are standing behind someone with long hair and they are constantly flinging their hair back. When it is hot and you are smashed in line, the the last thing I want is someone hitting me with their hair.

Finally, and I know this is strange, but I can't stand to be in a quiet room and someone is crunching potato chips. It just makes me cringe.

When I read something where the person says anyways. I can't stand when people whistle. It drives me crazy.

DOUBLE NEGATIVES! It just makes people sound ignorant.

When people are mean to animals. And children. Like we're not human!!!!!!

I feel your pain! We were on one today and someone close to the phone kept tapping the table. AAHHHHH!!! It was driving me nuts.

Sniffling. People chewing with their mouths open. Seeing someone lick his/her fingers. But my number one pet peeve is seeing teenagers/men wear their baseball caps at the table. Why do their mothers/wives stand for it????
