Thank you - I think maybe those premie's might fit then (???) AG dolls are 18". Same size as Gotz I guess. It might be worth buying one and bringing home, sneaking it in and trying!

Hi, hope everyone is doing great with their sales. I haven't been selling at all lately and I miss it. I'll start up again after the holidays. As usual I have a question...I bought an item on ebay using BIN. The seller told me he sent out the package on 12/7 using priority mail. I figured I would have gotten it by now. I e-mailed him and he gave me the del. confirmation number. When I checked it said something like"THe USP service was electronically notified on 12/7 to expect your package for mailing, Please check again later"..This is making me think that he did the label with del. confirmation on line, but didn't mail the package. Denise

This is the thing I hate about PM. They never list any tracking until it is delivered!!!! You could never even begin to find out where it got lost!!! My PO has given up trying to scan anything into the system - it will not accept the scan. I cannot see the item until it is actually delivered. Usually I take the other half of the printed address label and have them stamp that as my receipt in case I need it.

12/7 was a Sunday (wasn't it?), so the earliest it really could have gone out was Monday the 8th. You didn't indicate where it was being shipped from, so it could have encountered some delays if it was in the Northeast due to the awful weather they had. I don't think I would feel comfy waiting much more than a couple of more days though. Possibly you could word it (sending now), by requesting they check the DC # on any other packages they shipped the same day to see if those are AWOL also or have been delivered. That might give them a reminder to check if nothing else. If they indicate those are delivered you might want to investigate claiming the insurance (???)

I just checked both items I sent on 12/9 were delivered 12/11 - one about 4 hours away - the other from Wisconsin to West Virginia.

I really want the item, but if not then I'd like my money back..What do you all think I should do. I know I probably should wait longer, but I have this strange feeling, I just got beat out of $$. Even if the post office scans it in, it does not seem to be updated online until after delivery or attempted delivery. That has been my experience with the 20 or so packages I've used it on during the past month. Oh, I am in the Northeast and I will say that my mail was delivered every day despite gettting over 2 ft. of snow last weekend and ten more inches yesterday.

I'm considering making bead jewelry to sell on ebay. What do you think of this 5 strand bead bracelet , and how much would you pay for it? Is there a market on ebay for a handmade bead bracelet or would I be wasting my time and money on listing fees?

I've had these beads and wire on hand since last Christmas, so other than the clasp I haven't had to spend extra money to make it. I won't be listing it until I finish it off with a clasp. It took me about 90 minutes to complete while watching tv Sat. night.

I'd like to make other bracelets in different colors and/or designs. I would love to sell personalized NAME bead bracelets. I've seen some selling for $25 (sterling silver). I thought it would be neat to make names for folks who have unusual names, who can't just go out to a store and buy something with their name on it.

I did get your link to work for me now; but I don't have any good advice to offer as I am unfamiliar with this type of jewelry. Sorry to be of no help!

Seeing how you have the Del Conf #, maybe you should go to your local post office, and have them check their computer.

I had an item that was shipped to the wrong place. My falt wrong zip, but right city and state. They were able to tell me that the item had ended up in Mississippi (wrong place) and on what date they had put the item in the mail from Mississippi it to the right place.

Just an idea.

I hope you get your itme soon.

Good idea..they followed a doll house I sold from NY to CA..you wouldn't believe the places a package goes if it's parcel post, and how much time it can spend in one place.

Fonfon: I can't pull up the auction because it was so far back...

If you can't pull it up, then chances are your buyer can't leave feedback. There is a 90 window post auction where buyers and sellers can leave feedback for each other. If your auction is no longer available he won't be able to leave it. I would ignore this person. Sounds like a bad case of buyers remorse.

------------------------------------------------

I had the same thing happen to a package I mailed to someone about a month ago. I used the DC and when I checked on-line it indicated that the PO was still waiting for me to deliver it to them for shipping.. I also had a receipt from the PO that showed the item had been mailed (the long ticker-tape thing) and when I asked about it at the PO they said they can't make an investigation of "mail rifling" until the item has been missing at least 30 days.. Ironically, when I got back home that same day the buyer had emailed me to say the item had just arrived safely..

I don't get that message frequently when checking my DC's, but every now and then it WILL give me that message..

Another interesting thing I have learned is that the PO uses a rather convoluted route to ship things.. I'm in upstate NY and if I'm shipping an item WEST, they first send it to a facility EAST of here and THEN west.. If I'm sending something SOUTH they send it to a facility in Bell, CALIFORNIA before they send it BACK east and then SOUTH.. When I questioned the PO about their routes they told me that things go to certain facilities before they finally reach their destination.. It doesn't make any sense to me, but I guess it makes sense to them..

Well - I have learned my first lesson as a BUYER.. Always, always, ALWAYS check feedback before bidding on anything..

I made a silly assumption that because the seller involved was a Power Seller there wouldn't be any problems.. Boy - was I ever wrong! I paid for the item on Dec. 1st and still haven't received it so I sent a polite email asking when it was shipped and if they could track it through the DC#.. (It's a Christmas gift..)

The first response was very "vague" - something along the lines of they "usually" ship within a "week" of receiving payment "more or less" - and no mention of the DC.. So I emailed again to ask if they could track it via the DC and received a very crude response of "DON'T USE DC - TOLD YOU IT WAS SHIPPED!!" - all in caps..

I waited a few more days and then emailed again to let them know the item still hadn't arrived.. This time I was told (all in caps) to "STOP WORRYING ABOUT IT. I SAID IT WAS MAILED. IF YOU DON"T GET IT WE REFUND OR REPLACE!! CHECK MY FEEDBACK!!!!" That really kind of ticked me off, so I did in fact check the FB and there were98 negatives and umpteen neutrals - all in regards to either extremely slow shipping (up to 2 months) or never shipping the item at all!! And in the area where the seller could leave a comment??? Oh my gosh!!!! It was AWFUL !! Things like "STUPID NEW USER CAN'T READ" - "WOULD YOU LIKE A TIP TOO?" - "MAIL IS RESPONSIBLE, NOT ME!!", etc........ Very, very, very arrogant and rude..

Next thing I know I receive a notice that this buyer has requested my contact info.. So I emailed him to ask why and told him I could have saved him the trouble if he had just asked for that info in his last email. He then responds (in caps again) "I'M TRYING TO CALL YOU - GET OFF LINE!!!!!" He also threatened me in terms of feedback (which I hadn't even mentioned).. Said, "LEAVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK AND I WILL RESPOND IN KIND!!"

Well let me tell you, I have NO intentions of talking to this person as he is clearly a nut case.. Now the question is - if I don't receive the item in a couple of days, do I request the refund from him (I'm not interested in yet another UNTRACKABLE replacement) or do I go through Paypals "buyer complaint" process? It's not a lot of money, but quite frankly I am very angry with his nasty attitude towards his customers and would love to see him "squirm" while dealing with Paypal..

Lesson learned... ALWAYS check feedback before bidding regardless of "power" status!!!

I'm SOOOO glad I read the last several posts!! I was going to post a question to you all this morning, but it may have been answered.

I have had no trouble tracking the items I sell with delivery confirmation. That said, I purchased a DVD many days ago with BIN. I paid immediately with Paypal. A few days later I was notified by Ebay that the seller's auctions had been pulled due to some possible copyright infringements (probably a bootleg DVD) and that I should consider not completing the transaction. WELL, by that point I had already paid and I figured it may have already been shipped, so I let it go. But several days went by and I didn't have my DVD. I emailed the seller three times before I got a response. He said he had the flu and that it would be shipped yesterday. He gave me a tracking number, but when I enter it into the USPS website I get that same response that 'dg39' got ("The p.o. was notifed to expect your package, no further information available....blah, blah).... I kind of figured he gave me a phony tracking number, but maybe not, if other people are also having this same message come up. I will check it again later today and see what happens. If I don't have my DVD by Friday I will probably give him one last chance to prove it was shipped before I ask for a chargeback from Paypal.

AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT.........I also got another e-mail from another ebay seller, about another item I purchased on ebay from a seller with no feedback. I was told by them that this seller is notorious for not following through with transactions. The seller told me (after I emailed her last week) that she ships on Fridays and it was being mailed 12/12. I will be looking for it this week. If I don't have it by next Monday I will figure I was screwed. I paid with m.o. so there is no recourse. And I believe she is no longer selling on ebay, so neg feedback is useless!

I REALLY DO SELL MORE than I buy, by a long shot, but I guess I have been very unlucky in my purchasing. I was so grateful that people took a chance and purchased things from me when I had no feedback, that I guess I figured I was returning the favor! LIVE AND LEARN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!............P

First of all, I just want to say thank you to those who responded to my "buyer's remorse" dilemma...I have yet to hear from the man (I responded the way DMRick suggested, before people started suggesting just ignoring him entirely, or I would have done that!) I haven't gotten a reply nor have I gotten any feedback from him yet, so we'll see....

Secondly, C.Ann, go through PayPal...I wouldn't bother dealing directly with that nutcase any more if I were you!!

Where do these people COME from?!?!

He gave me a tracking number, but when I enter it into the USPS website I get that same response that 'dg39' got ("The p.o. was notifed to expect your package, no further information available....blah, blah).... Your seller printed off his mailing label from the USPS site, that is how he got the tracking number for you. For some reason that same message will appear until the package is delivered to your address. I have no idea why the post office does it that way, but it is always the same with any package that I have sent.....I always check to make sure my buyer receives their item, and that same message shows until it finally states the place, date and time of delivery

(I responded the way DMRick suggested, before people started suggesting just ignoring him entirely, or I would have done that!)

I guess I don't believe in ignoring my buyers...at least not for the first response (unless they are really off the wall, but this guy just sounded like buyers remorse). Once I respond, then I ignore if they continue. I always figure I owe them the curtesy, even if it's buyer remorse. Plus, I then have the correspondance if they try to do a chargeback...where I sound resonable and they don't LOL!

service was electronically notified on 12/7 to expect your package for mailing, Please check again later"..This is making me think that he did the label with del. confirmation on line, but didn't mail the package. I'm I right to assume this or am I misreading it.

This happened several months ago to me. The seller had printed off the label on the site and had gone down to mail the package. But....I never received it and was getting the same message....so I contacted the seller and told them of the problem.( I also did notify paypal) They said they did go down to the post office to investigate and told me that the post office had never sent it, it was found in a wrong bin, and the post office would send it now. I did receive it in a couple of days.....but I will never know the real story.
I would email your seller again, tell him you still have not received your item....and if you paid by Paypal, I would notify them because they will get on the sellers back to prove shipment.

A friend of mine doesn't buy a lot on ebay. So, when she has a question, she asks me. She purchased two pencil print drawings from the same person, two different auctions. When she received them, they were very obvious photo copies. She said that around the sides you can see where it has been copied. She also said one of the pictures has been folded. And, the two pictures aren't the same size. She asked me to check it out, and when I looked at this guy's feedback, I saw that he doesn't look like he's always willing to work things out.

My friend actually thought she was getting actual pencil drawings. He never says it is a photo copy. He describes his picture using a term like pencil drawing print. Then with the same terms he says you can find similar prints for $100 in stores. I decided to email him and ask him if these are copies or originals, he replied with a book.

Here's my question: Is he being misleading in his auctions, and can ebay do anything about it? He has quite a few negatives, but I honestly think he has problems because he misleads people. Maybe you can't expect to get an original for $10, but then again, it's ebay and he calls it a great deal. Will someone please let me know if this is something that can be turned into ebay as maybe fraud? I've included a link to a finished auction of his if anyone wants more details. Thanks.

I think his descriptions are quite ambiguous! You could read it either way. It does say "print" in a few spots, but it also says things like "original" and "unique" (if I remember correctly). I would certainly send a message to e-bay about the quality of this person's items.... maybe more in a neutral tone than a negative tone ("items not as represented" type thing). But I wouldn't feel bad about a neg feedback either. That's what feedback is for...... this kind of problem! GOOD LUCK!!...........P

The only thing with the negative feedback is that she only has a feedback of 4. She really can't afford to get the negative feedback. I told her when she emails him to do it in a polite way because he seems to be a bit difficult. I think the best results would be in emailing ebay on the way he has stuff listed. Can I do this from the outside, or is it better for my friend to do ti?

HERE IS SOME CLARIFICATION of the my DVD problem, for those of you who care;) .... I rechecked the USPS website and put in a recently mailed DC number of mine for comparison. When I put in the DC number of a package that I printed at home and mailed on Saturday, I get the message..." USPS was electronically notified by shipper... 12/13 to expect package for mailing. Information, if available, is updated every evening. PLease check again later."

When I put in the tracking number that I was given Friday by the seller, the message comes up" No record of that item. If it was mailed recently, information may not yet be available. Please try again later."

The tracking number he gave me starts with "0303" which I believe means it was a DC number from the P.O., not one that was printed on-line, as those start with"0103".

I also checked a DC number that I purchased at the P.O. on Saturday that starts with "0303". The USPS website says "Your item was accepted for delivery at 12:18 pm on December 13 in ****, NH. Information, if available, is updated....blah, blah".

SOOOO, what that tells me is if he really mailed it on Friday with DC purchased at the p.o., I should be seeing at least that last message on the tracking site. I THINK I'VE BEEN BAMBOOZLED!! TO THE TUNE OF $45!!

HOW LONG WOULD you wait before you contacted Paypal for a chargeback? Am I being way too impatient? I did the BIN on 12/9 and I realize that was less than a week ago. I'm just very suspicious due to the email I got from Ebay. Can cooler heads prevail here? Could I have some unbiased help? I think I'm too suspicious to be reasonable here!!

Hi all, I went to the post office this morning to mail my mother her X-mas presents. I sent it priority, so we'll see how long it takes to get from new jersey to florida. Anyway, I gave the clerk the del. conf.# for the item that I didn't receive yet. She checked it and said that all the info the post office has is that the seller used the electronic shipping for the label and del. conf. #, but that doesn't prove that he indeed mailed it. She also said that the mail is slow because of the holidays( we all know & understand that), and to give it a few more days for delivery. They don't consider anything until 30 days so I guess we may just have to wait. But if I don't get my item by Friday of this week, I'm going to get in touch with paypal and ebay and explain to them the situation and see what they say. I'm going to call them instead of emailing them so hopefully I'll get a quicker response that way. I also checked the sellers feedback. A powerseller with mostly good feedback, but several negs. One neg. was for an item that the person never received. The same item I had ordered. A pair of boots. I emailed the buyer and he emailed right back stating that he never got the boots and never got an explaination from the seller. He paid by cashier check and for a fee he was able to get most of his money back. I paid by paypal, so I hope when I put in the claim it doesn't take too long to get it back. Maybe we're all jumping the gun. I'm known to do that. Maybe we'll all get our items in todays mail.(maybe we'll all win the lottery too,LOL)
Good luck to us all,
Denise
