Congratulations Tiggerlover!!!:cheer2: :thumbsup2 Oh so close, I bet you can smell it! I'm glad your drop in points worked, at least you know it was worth it! Good luck next week, you can get that last little bit off!

Kathiniowa, congratulations too! I'm always happy with anything over 1lb. But it is rare for me to ever lose more than that. I can gain it in one week but not lose it! Keep it up!

Congratulations tiggerlover!!!!! :cool1:  :cool1: All that hard work and cutting points definitely works. Keep up the great work and you'll be at goal in no time.:cheer2:

fofinia- Awesome loss!! WHoo hoo!!:cool1: :thumbsup2 :cool1: Sounds like Core really worked well for you. I don't know how to get rid of the gut. I went out with some friends last night and we were talking how your body changes as we get older, ( we're 43-53) and one girl who's going through menopause said her stomach bloated all the time. I'm not looking forward to all those hormonal swings. Exercise is probably the best way to tone the stomach, not that I do any.:guilty:

Congrats Kathinowa- celebrate that great loss!!! :thumbsup2 I rarely see over one pound, unless it's a gain. You are doing awesome!!

Keep on losing everyone!! We can do this!!

Thanks for the encouragement everyone, I really appreciate it.

Kim, it is so good to see you post again....hoping all is well with you and your efforts. I miss "seeing" you around here.

daisy2, kudos to your DH, that is great. It is great that you have him right there to inspire you to go on. Good luck getting back on the band wagon.

iggbees, I have learned that some people in the office do want to sabotage you, they may be showing it in the form of "niceness", but anyone who brings you foods you really shouldn't have and KNOWS you are on a weight loss program is just plain mean. I have to tell you, with all of the girl scout cookies floating around the temptations have been hard, but someone told me about the WW 2 PT chocolate mint bars and they taste just like a thin mint, but bigger. I had one yesterday and was in heaven.

KATHINOWA, 1.6 is AWESOME!! You are right, 2 pounds a week is not realistic, so give yourself some slack. We all would love to put up big weekly numbers, but it isn't the way it goes most weeks. Celebrate any loss, especially if it is at least a pound!!! You are doing such a great job!

missmissy, researching is a great tool, this allows you to know the points of different places so it is easier to chose what you are eating. What restaurant do you have that does WW points, I'd love to know if there is one in my area (besides Applebees). A friend of mine here was on business in Great Lakes, Illinois and she went to a little whole in the wall place near the military base and she was pleasantly surprised that they had WW points listed, so it is always nice to stumble on a place that does that. Can't wait to hear how your first WI went, keep us posted.

Mik, I hear ya about the menopause thing, we have several (hot flashing) women in the office and I don't look forward to hitting that period of my life. Although I am 40, 50 seems not all that far away and my MIL started menopause at 43, so I suppose it can even be sooner as opposed to later.

Hope you all have an awesome week! Onward and downward!:cheer2:

DRUM ROLL>>>>>

First weigh in today.... lost 5 lbs!!!!! :cool1:  :woohoo:

I know the first week is usually good but that rocks!! I did 1/5 already LOL

But mostly the walking has been so good. I missed my walks in the winter and was so ready to go out! This week has been 50's so I started up, now I am pumped and loving the walks. I even walk indoors at work on breaks.. I work nights and found an empty office and walk a crazy eight around the office ilses. It allows me to get the walk in so I am good with it. I am starting 3rd shift next week soon. This week I have surgery and will not be able to do anything for the week, and then with the new hrs, I will be able to join something like Yoga or Curves :cool1: :cool1: I am sooo happy things are changing for me and I am finally getting the time to take care of me :cool1: better! YAY!!!!!!

So I am happy with my 5 lb loss. Since my hrs are changing, I will start a new WW group too, closer to home :cool1: things look good!

miss missy rocks!!!!!:cool1:
Fantastic loss for the week miss missy, keep it going!!!! I know it will be hard with having surgery and all, but keep a positive view and stay focused even as you are recovery and you will do all right. Good thoughts for a successful surgery and recovery.

Congratulations Miss Missy!!!:thumbsup2 That is so awesome. I hope your upcoming changes are as great as they sound like they are going to be for you!!

Keep it Up!

Good luck everybody!

Tiggerlover, no other restaurant around here has the point meals, just Applebees. I go to The 99 and Smokey Bones if I go out. At the 99 I have a Tropical grilled chicken salad, minus the corn chip things, and at SB I have the Serria Chicken- love that. These were my usuals before WW so I am good to go.

I will be online a lot this week as I cant do much else. Hope everyone has a great week.

Thanks everyone. I went food shopping and have what I need to stay on program for the week.

Oh, I just want to scream. My ds had a horrible morning, so who missed eating breakfast, me. I hate when I let the morning and him do that. So when that happens I eat badly.

My first weigh in, in a long time is tomorrow and I feel like I am already going the wrong way.

Thanks for listening. :listen: Hope you all have a better day than me. (oh wait, that won't be hard.) Have a great day!!

I was down another pound this week - slow & steady. I have 12.6 to go to reach goal.

Great loss MISSMISSY - keep up the good work!

Hope everyone has a "losing" week!

Hang in there Sue, don't let the bad start of the day ruin your resolve. Move on and start fresh, we have all had bad days and not so good eating days, but you need to recognize you will have them from time to time and then make better choices the next time. Good luck on your weigh in, you may surprise yourself.

Ok, I had my starting WI. I am as much as I was pregnant and there is no baby. We now are not sure if the program will start at work or not as we need 2 more paying members.

tiggerlover: thanks for the encouragement. It was ok today.

knovak: Great job on the loss.

missmissy: wow, keep up the good work.

Sue, you have made the first step in the commitment to yourself, if for some reason they can't start the group at work I highly suggest you go outside of work, you won't be sorry. Having a meeting and a support group make a BIG difference. Hang in there, it is a day by day challenge and some days are going to be easier than others, but those who stay the course reap the rewards! You CAN do this!

knovak YAY on the last WI!

Everyone, hang in there!! I know we can do it!

Wow I so miss walking! I can't do anything until I am recovered from Mondays surgery, but I so miss being active! I still have a headache that won't go away :( I was sick for two days so my eating was all messed up.

I have my work shift changing next week too. This is going to change my ENTIRE life. My sleep and free time, family time is all changing. Better for family, worse for me free time and health wise. It is the sacrafice you do for the family, ya know. I just hope I do not get lost in the shuffle.

Not sure what day is weigh in this week, all depends how I feel.

I can do it! I can do it!

Congratulations Knovak! Way to go!

Miss Missy, you have a great attitude. I hope you are feeling back to normal from your surgery soon.

SueRs, I have been where you are! When I started WW this time I was my heaviest non pregnant weight. Not pretty. But now I can say I'm lighter now than I was when I got pregnant, still not pretty but better! :)

So I weighed in today, and I'm not too happy. I gained 1.4 of the 1.6 I lost last week. ????????? I really don't know how. I tracked everyday. I was doing core but decided to track as well. I wanted to see how many points I was eating on core and if it was balanced. So pretty much I ate core foods on the flex plan. I exercised like a fiend. Ate most of my activity points, which the receptionist at my meeting suggested to me today when I asked why I had gained. (Not that I expected her to know.) So now I've been stalled at the same weight for 8 weeks. Except for the week i was on vacation and gained 3+lbs and the two weeks it took me to lose it.

I'm trying very hard to not sabotage myself today and eat whatever I want. Maybe if I stick to the plan, next week I'll see a double loss??? I know it's not the end of the world to gain. But goodness sakes my outlook for the day surely gets bent out of shape!

Hope everyone else has better luck!

Fofina,

As you said to me. Stay in there. I would suggest try not eating all the activity points.

Have a great day.

I'm going to try not eating the activity points this week. Maybe that will help? Thanks! ;)
