Thanks for the welcomes! :cool1:

Today I shoveled and did 15 mins on the new gazelle, starting slow. I am a walker so I am gonna have to bear the bad weather and get going.

Work is ordering free pizza for us, I am not going to eat that. I will eat what I brought. Work is always having cakes and junk, just not doing that will help me a lot.

:welcome: Miss Missy! If you are looking for support this is definitely the place to be! As someone who is back on WW again I understand your desire to get back with it.

Mermaid, good for you for pledging to yourself, I hope you find success! I know you think you are losing slowly, but 10 pounds since January really isn't so bad, that is a little bit over a pound a week. Celebrate progress and keeping pushing forward, you are doing a great job!

mik.....woo hoo for you!!! Doing the happy dance for your 1.2 loss this week! party: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!:bday: and how nice of your co-workers to take your program into consideration and bringing healthy choices for you, that is great. This life we are striving to live is challenging, but the rewards are oh so wonderful! Keep up the great job!!!

KATHINOWA, good to see you posting again, you have been missed. Congrats on the 10 pound loss since your last post.:cheer2:

Wow, fofinia, 3 points down...ugh, that is 21 points a week. That is way too much. I really am supposed to be down further in points, but luckily my leader doesn't think I need to drop them just yet. Her philosophy is if it isn't broke, why fix it....and for now I agree.

that's what my problem is too. i work at a university and we're always going to seminars with free pizza, cookies, and non diet friendly things, i also have to go out to a bunch of lunches with speakers. it's so tempting, but since i started (yesterday!) i'm going to stop and think about it before i pick it up!

i also gained 10 lbs this winter alone. it's so hard when you don't want to exercise because of the cold weather.

I really want to be able to hang one of those DisWish stickies on my posts!

I was here quite awhile ago. I lost about 19 lbs with South Beach. Then, grew tired of that WOE and voila -- put it all back on plus another 8. :confused3

I'm exercising and hoping that I can do a slow and steady loss.

Anyone here do mall walking? I go twice a week for an hour. I would love to go every day, but I work on 2 other days and its just not feasible to go on the weekend.

Well, I have high hopes to be able to cut back on junk food, but not eliminate it all together as I think that was my big downfall on SB.

I guess I'll go pick up a ticker!

ttyl,
Kris

:welcome: iggbees and zeke11!!!

iggbees, I know what you mean, I work in a very food oriented office, there is always some kind of goodie or another hanging around. For functions I am aware of in advance I plan ahead and bring some healthy food from home and then maybe take a small nibble of what is being offered, but often times I just bring my healthy lunch and forgo what is offered. Once in a while I scratch the itch, like the past two days at work there was a devil fudge chocolate cake I kept passing it and resisting it, but finally I decided I really wanted a bit so I took a tiny bite and I was good after that. So some times compromise is the best way to go.

zeke11, glad to have you joining us once again and good luck on your renewed quest to lose weight. I am a firm believer in slow and steady as I think it brings you the most lasting success.

Well yep, I didn't eat the pizza !! :cool1: and today someone brought in home made dinner and I stuck with what I had brought again :cool1: And I got my butt out for a 45 min walk too :cool1:

My co workers have cake and order out ALL the time. I used to only do it on Friday- too much cash for me to do all week. But I swear I gained a lot eating on this shift! I just changed shifts so I can tell the difference. But I am not going to do it anymore :cool1: I'll have more $$ and lose weight :cool1:

Hi, I am just starting WW at Work. My first WW Weigh-in is next Tuesday.

I have been on WW before and have both succeeeded and failed. I am hoping I am motivatied enough this time to make the right choices.

I would love to join your thread.

Thanks,

Welcome newbies!!!!!, SueRS, Zeke11, and iggbees!!!! this is a great place to find inspiration and support. Good luck.

We too always seem to have junk food around my work. We have a candy drawer that is usually filled with chocolate, and donuts and munchkins are often brought in in the mornings. I always bring my lunch, and snacks, but do indulge at times. I just bought Fiberone chocolate and oats granola bars that are awesome. They have 9 grams of fiber and are only 2 points each. They are a very satisfying chocolate fix. I should have had one tonight instead of all the cadbury eggs I just ate, but I didn't. I did throw the rest of the eggs in the trash, and am starting fresh, yet again, right now!!!!

Have a great day everyone!!!!

I agree, mikamah, the fiber one bars are delicious! I like the special K bars too but the fiber one bars are more filling. I definitely have to limit myself to one. Weighing in tomorrow!

Welcome back iggbees!! And welcome SueRs and Zeke! The more losers the merrier!

Congrats Miss Missy on resisting the pizza! That is a hard one for me. I'm glad I don't work in an office where food is everywhere.

Mikamah and Kathiniowa, I'm so glad you mentioned those Fiber one bars. I was thinking of trying them. They looked good on the package. But I'm forever buying things to try and then hating them. So now with two recommendations I may try them.

Well I weighed in on Weds, and I was down 1.6! :cool1: Can you tell I'm psyched? So now I'm down all my Disney weight gain and can get tackling my gut. How do you get rid of the gut? You know the post baby sag in the front? I need to try my pilates tapes again and see if that can help. And I'm trying to make sure that I get on my elliptical 5 days a week or more. I did last week so I'm trying to make it a habit. I can't wait for warmer weather too. Walking outside, gardening. A much happier time of the year for me!

Good luck everyone, Keep up the great work!

miss missy, good for you to sticking with what you brought and skipping the pizza! I know how hard that is, I too, work in a very food-oriented office. (Pizza and cake in my office today!)

:welcome: SueRS! Good luck to you on your continued journey!

Weigh to go, fofinia!!!! Great loss for the week!!!

I guess cutting a point a day and adding a little exercise jumped start me as I lost 1.2 lbs. this week. I am only .2 away from WW goal and 2.2 away from my goal.:cool1: A lot of hard work and more to come, but slowly but surely it is coming off.

Onward and downward!!

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to tell you all keep up the good work. I have been struggling. But my husband on the other hand is doing fantastic. He is doing the weight watchers diet unofficially. I gave him all the tools and how to figure out his points and of course he gets the highest 44 points a day. He started at the beginning of January and as of Wednesday the 28th he has lost 36 pounds. His blood pressure has gone down and he is feeling so much better he doesn't snore at night he is doing a fantastic job. He was 349 pounds and now weighs 313 pounds. I just wanted to share. I am being imspired by him. I just need to get back on the band wagon. Thanks for letting me share.

yesterday i was kind of bad with the whole, no eating junk at the office thing, i had a cookie at a talk i went to, but that's definitely down from what i used to eat at those things! :lmao: today my lab group is going to bertucci's for lunch and i have noooo idea what to get there. everything is sooooooo fatty! i was thinking maybe the chicken piccata, since it's really just floured chicken with wine and olive oil sauce and if i only eat half of that i should be ok, right? so tough.

I was down 1.6 today. It sounds so stupid but I get a little discouraged when it's less than a 2 lb loss. I know a 2 lb loss every week is not realistic as I have been doing this for almost 6 months. We're going to Disney and the cruise in August and I just want this wait off. I have about 40 pounds more to go before then. I am definitely in this for real this time and will not and cannot give up. Success is my only option!

It's so uplifting to read about all of the successes on this board. Even when we gain a little (or a lot) it just reminds us that we're all human and we're all in this together.

Have a great (light!) week-end everyone!

no eating junk at the office thing, i had a cookie

You have to give yourself some slack. You only had 1 cookie, not more and you just need to count the points and move on.

For the resturant can you get maybe a soup (ministronie) and salad? Can you see their Nutriional Info online? :confused3 And if not guess count the points and move on.

 I understand the 2 point thing but remember you still lost and didn't gain.

Thank you for letting me be part of your group. Have a great day! :)

oh no, i'm just kidding. i let myself have a couple of hershey kisses a night too, because i need my chocolate fix! they aren't that many points if you only have one or 2. i just want to stop eating all the junkfood at my office, it's basically just to learn how to curb my picking at food.

Hi igg! I know the office is tough. A coworker was putting hershey kisses on my desk, he loves to torture. Thank god I am not temped as of late.

Friday is my day to order out at work, they go to a bunch of places so I have no idea where for tonight... but since I plan to eat out Sat night I am bringing my dinner tonight and forgoing the Friday ritual :cool1: I have plenty of points for Sat so I am sticking with that.

Try fat free hot choc for your choc fix, its works!

I have to research online menus for the places I go to often.. I need to know what to get. Oh and we do have a restaurant here that has WW points meals on the menu :cool1:
