WW Weekly Weigh-in

 fofinia. Could it be that you are "exercising like a fiend" and turning fat into muscle (as in muscle weighs more than fat)? Maybe cut some of the activity points as has been suggested. I am curious you said you ate Core, but you counted flex, did you stay within your normal flex points when you did it? Also keep in mind that certain times of the month the body retains more fluid than other times.....I can almost track my weeks to a "T" because of fluid retention. Just don't give up, I know it is easy to get discouraged, especially when you do it all right and have a gain.....be persistant, you can win at losing, just hang in there!

miss missy, hang in there too! It is hard when life turns your world upside down, but stay strong and you can persevere too!

I am off to WI tomorrow night, but when I get home the inlaws will be here for a few days, so I am not sure when I can check in again. Onward and downward!:yay:

I'm down 1 this week at weighin. I had a few too many girlscout cookies this week, and was hoping to stay the same, so I'm thrilled with a loss. It is motivating me to keep on track today.

Tiggerlover- hope you have a successful weighin tonight. pixiedust:

fofinia-It's so frustrating to work so hard and stay on track and then have a gain. Hopefully it's a lot of fluid, or like tiggerlover said, you're building up muscle. The positive is your sticking it out, and over eight weeks, you've maintained, and not gained back all that you have worked so hard to lose. You will start losing again. Hang in there. I just got a new weighin book at ww today and looked back over the past 6 months. I weigh 6.2 pounds less than I did 6 months ago. It's painfully slow sometimes, but hopefully it is gone forever. Remember, slow and steady definitely wins!!!

Knovak- congrats on the loss!!! Slow and steady is the way to go!!

SueRS- Hope you are able to do the program at work. I too weighed as much as I did pregnant when I joined WW 18 months ago, but am now 33 pounds lighter. It's a great program. Good luck.

Missmissy- Hope you are feeling better since your surgery.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

I didn't weigh in last week- but I bit the bullet and weighed in this morning. Up 1.4 I haven't been tracking and I've been "guesstimating" points and portions. I'm back on this week. I need to plan my weeks dinners ahead of time. I tend to over eat at supper.

I haven't checked in in awhile. I had a bad stretch of about 3 weeks, luckily I didn't gain over those three weeks, I managed to lose a half a pound. I got myself back on track this week and lost 1 pound- I was hoping for a little more, but at least it's a loss. I think I got really off track because I was having a hard time keeping track of my points. Once my DD gets up in the morning it's almost impossible for me to get to the computer, so I was just trying to remember what I ate throughout the day and log it in at night. This week I tried planning my day out in the morning and printing out my point tracker for the day to follow. That seems to be working better, so hopefully that will help me out. I also need to find some more time to check in here for more motivation! Keep up the good work, everyone!

Thanks Tiggerlover and Mikamah, I hope I'm building up more muscle?! But I've been focusing on cardio to burn calories not so much on weight training. I don't know if that makes a difference. I pretty much ate core foods and stuck to my daily points last week. I'm definitely not giving up. Actually I upped my workout today. I did 52 mins instead of 30-40. So we'll see:rolleyes1 . Mikamah- thanks for posting your numbers. I do need to remember that overall I am down. And I'm happy about that. I guess I just didn't think it would take so long. Plus it's getting more expensive than I thought too. I pay for myself and my sister to do WW and I'm a stay at home mom. But I'm afraid If I stop going to meetings and do it on my own I'll gain it all back. Anyways, thanks for the encouragement! I really appreciate all my friends here!

Congrats Mikamah too on your loss!

Nice to see you again Mermaid and KJo. I also find it hard if I don't track immediately. So I usually use the paper tracker and I keep it on my counter. And I try to write it down as I'm getting my food ready. Sometimes I just don't have time to go on the computer to track every bite.

Keep up the good work everyone! You are all an inspiration to me!:grouphug:

I am trying to figure out the points, there are no ni values on the resturants website.

"Crisp romaine lettuce, artichoke hearts, fire-roasted red peppers, tomatoes, red onions, feta cheese, and our balsamic vinaigrette dressing. WithCajun shrimp."

I put no dressing and no feta cheese.

Thoughts. Thanks,

Hi everyone! Sound like some great motivation in here! I just love how you all hold eachother up! This is my favorite thread!!

Thanks for the well wished too. I feel fine now and am back in action! Walked today and it was great! :cool1:

I had wi today. I gained 2.4 and this is week two, week one was a 5lb loss, so I had to remove my 5 from my suggy today :sad1: BUT the gain isn't stopping me!! With not being able to do anything all week due to the surgery, I can't beat myself up. I am surprised with the gain though, because I was sick for a couple days and didn't hold down food one day and didnt eat much the other. I also did nothing but sit around all week! I did come around and do better eating all the points later in the week. I guess I thought I would have evened out and stayed the same.
:confused3 Now my MIL asked when my "monthly" time was this month and I realized it is 4-7 days from now, so that could be why I gained :confused3 We'll see!

This week I start 3rd shift which will change my whole schedule around. Now i have to figure out when to eat supper LOL I got to get some routine going for eating and sleeping. Its all about routine!

I also learned I HAVE to write what I eat down right away, I can't wait till later. That helps me soooo much! I know my points as I go, no guessing!

All I know is I am back to walking and loving it. My gain didn't make me feel bad, it made me feel empowered! I can and I will do this !:cool1:

Hope you all have a great week!

Weighed in yesterday, only down 1 ounce. Better than a gain.

Good luck everyone this week.

Just a brief check in, I know I have been MIA, but work has been very busy as my supervisor is out with surgery and my inlaws arrived for a visit last week. I did weigh in on Thursday as usual and I was up .4, which for me isn't the end of the world as I know I did well last week and that it is approaching the time of the month that I normally see two weeks of increases. However, since my inlaws have been here I have been indulging a little bit more than usual so I am afraid this weeks weigh in won't be the best, but again, it is not the end of the world and I am accountable to myself because I chose to have three helpings of FIL's potato salad! We will see what Thursday brings.

Hope you all are doing well and I will try and check back later in the week.

Onward and downward!

Not my weigh in day- but I jumped on the scale this morning and I am down to a weight I have not see in 2 years! I feel so good and back on track!

SueRs- looks like all you have to count for that salad (no cheese no drsng) is the shrimp. Most likely a very low point meal!

Spring is coming everyone- onward and downward!

I weighed in on Friday and was down 2.2! I was so excited. I had really stepped up the exercise last week. I was even more thrilled when I realized I had lost a total of 50 pounds!  But today I feel like I'm in sabatoge mode. I had two birthday parties this weekend which I ate on program at. No desserts, lots of veggies, appropriate portions. Now today I feel like I deprived myself and went over on my daily points. I wish I would have enjoyed the piece of cake yesterday and been done with it. Today I went over eating nothing spectacular, nothing I enjoyed. I'm hoping for a better day tomorrow. I know I have to keep the exercise going. I'm happy we're in for nice weather so I can add walking to my routine.

Have a great week everyone!

I weighed in yesterday and stayed exactly the same. I was expecting a loss, but after I thought about it, last week I had lost and probably should have gained, so I figure that was a fluke, and I'm just evening out this week. I've started walking again, and find I eat much better on the days I get some exercise. It definitely boosts my mood and keep me in a healthier frame of mind.

Kathinowa-:cool1:  :cheer2: 50pounds is awesome!!!! Congratulations. Remember, we all have those bad days, and if you just get on track the next day, you'll be fine.

Mermaid-Whoo hoo on seeing a new low in a while. :cheer2: That's so inspiring.

Tiggerlover- on the gain, but you have an awesome attitude, and will be to goal soon. Sounds like fil's potato salad is a special treat worth the extra points.

Stacerita- :thumbsup2 Great job!!

Missmissy-Awesome attitude!! The walking will definitely make a difference. Good luck on nights. I worked nights a while ago, and had a period around 4-5 am where I felt nauseous, and had to eat my way through it. It will help to bring a variety of healthy snacks til you get into your routine. good luck.

Suers- The shrimp is the only thing you need to take points for, and I know it's pretty low in points. I wish I liked shrimp cuz it's a great appetizer to order.

Fofinia- I hear ya on the money for ww, and to pay for 2 people would be tough. I am a single mom, and have debated many times about spending the money on myself, but I know from past experience, that if I stop going to the meetings, I will gain back all I have lost plus some. I don't spend a lot of money on myself, and try to look at ww as an investment in my future health. I want to be around and healthy for a long time. My mom has diabetes, and lung disease from smoking, is overweight, and is having a rough time lately, and I don't want to be in that same situation in a few years. So I'm planning to stick with this for the long haul. You are worth it too. And god bless you for being a stay at home mom. It must be very hard some itmes. I can imagine, because after some days at home with my son, I'm thrilled to be going to work. :rotfl: Hope you're having a good week.

kjo719-welcome back and a big thumbs up for your loss. :thumbsup2 It's great to just maintain after a bad stretch.

Good luck everyone!!!!! Keep up the great work!!!!

hi- my first post in W.I.S.H. after signing up last week. I've been doing WW since Jan. 8. weigh in was last night. loss of 2.8 !!!!!!  and it was my birthday week! total loss now is 16.8 ( ww ) but I don't get my 5 lb. clippie here yet. total for W.I.S.H. is 2.8. I love the encouragement I see here. Hooray for all of us!!:yay: :yay:

Thanx for listenin'!!
Auntread.

Hi there. We were able to start WW at Work. I was reweighed from last week and was down a pound but we are not counting it. So hopefully I will be down a lot more. My points are low, I will be working hard to stay at that about.

Miss Missy: just remember overall it was still a loss. Journaling is going to be my issue too. :rolleyes1

Stacerita: 1 ounce down is better than a gain. (as you said) :)

tiggerlover: just keep accountable and check in with us. My FIL and MIL always cook things that make me over my points. :grouphug:

Wow, keep up the great attidude.

KATHINOWA: 50 pounds, that is wonderful. I want to be able to say that. Is that all from tracking on WW? :worship:

mikamah: no loss but no gain. Keep at it.

auntread: you loss 2.8 and it is your birthday. Wow. :bday:

Sorry I am so smilies happy. Don't usually find reasons to use them. This thread is awsome.

I just found this thread:cloud9: My mom and I have started WW and just got back from a meeting. I've lost 4 lbs this week:banana:

It's so great to have a motivational thread like this.

Hi Everyone!
I just ordered one of the food scales from the Weight Watchers web site. I think I am still over estimating serving sizes (although I'm doing better) and I think this will be a real kick in the pants for me! It wasn't cheap- but I think it will be worth it! Does anyone have one?

I am sorry I have missed so much lately, but life has been happening in full force. I wish I had time to read about all of your successes and trials, but I can't. I hope to pop back in on the weekend to catch up. I am just stopping in for my WI report.....down .2 this week and inching closer to goal. I keep playing with the same 1.5 - 1 pound....one of these weeks I will say adios to it for good.

Onward and downward!

My DH and I had our first official weigh in tonight after our first week on Weight Watchers. Glad to say it was a good week! My DH lost 4.4 pounds, and I lost 2.6! Keeps me motivated to lose more!!!!

Real life gets in the way doesn't it??

I am down -1.4 this week. I can't seem to get below this number..... I was down an additional half pound earlier in the week putting me at a low I hadn't seen in a long time.... but apparently it didn't "take".

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi! I'm a little late with my weigh in this week. I've had two sick kids and no free hands! :rotfl2:

So I'm down 1lb this week. Not bad but I had hoped to lose the 1.6 I was up last week. But no matter. I'm down and down is good!

Congratulations Stacerita! I like to cheer on the little losses. If I could have a little loss every week instead of a gain and then a loss, I would be further ahead for sure!

Kathiniowa!!! 50lbs is awesome!

Auntread, welcome to the boards and congratulations on your success with WW so far!

Ktink, Great first week loss! Keep it up and welcome!

Mermaid, I have a kitchen scale. Not a WW one. But it is surprising how much food weighs. I weigh all my meat now before i put it on my plate. I would definitely be over if I estimated. Congrats on you loss this week as well. I always have phantom losses. Like today, Friday, I'm always lighter than I am on Wednesday when I weigh in. It's not fair!:confused3

Mikamah, my friend, thanks for the encouragement! I'm sorry you didn't lose this week. I give you more kudos for being a single working mom than me a stay at home. I think you have the way harder position!

Tiggerlover, glad you had a loss this week. 1/2 of your in law weight gone. I hope I can have as much stick-to-it-tiveness as you do when I'm so close to goal!

Welcome Harvest! What a great thing you and your DH are doing WW together. That will be such an encouragement to you. Congrats on your losses as well.

Hope everyone has a healthy low point weekend! Keep it up! We can do it!:yay:
