Hello,

Great wise ones, I'm planning a trip at the end of October. I'm avoiding MK on saturday to stay away from the crowds. But that 's the only day Sprectra and Wishes is going on. Should I brave the crowds that evening or keep a safe distance?

Sometimes, as they say, you have to just "suck it up."

I will be there in Oct. as well. We have had to brave the Sat. eve. crowds for spectromagic in the past and will do it again. That's just the way it is at that time of year. On the plus side, it's one of the few things we ever have to wait for. We just get a spot quite early (lately, we've been choosing Liberty Square) and sit down to eat. We bring a few things for our girls to play with while they wait. There are plenty of restrooms near there, so you can always have a quick trip while the rest of your party holds the spot.

Another thing... we've not yet seen Wishes, but we'll probably do the same this year with that as we've done with the old fireworks show. We will see Wishes on another night and leave the park or do a ride or 2 after spectromagic.

Have fun!!

I believe they will also have Wishes and SpectroMagic on a weekday evening in October in addition to Saturday nights. For instance, on Wed., Oct. 27 the Magic Kingdom stays open until 8:30 pm, and SpectroMagic is at 7:30 pm and Wishes at 8:30 pm. That being said, expect the MK to be very crowded that night. We attempted to go to the MK on one of these nights last October, and it was the most uncomfortable I have ever felt at the MK. It was so crowded around the castle you couldn't move!

To me, that's like asking, "I don't like this job offer, but it's the only chance for me to make money at all"

:teeth:

They are worth the crowds... but I thought Wishes is every night this year? (Saturdays only for Spectro)

I'd get a park-hopper; spend the day elsewhere; and then go back at night just for Wishes and Spectro. :D
