Is it normal to get an email saying that your contract is closed but the closing documents won’t be emailed for 30 days? My other contract that closed recently sent me the closing documents right away.

Don't know which title company, but I know Mason's stock e-mail when you closed said your deed and title insurance policy would be sent within 30 days - never took them that long to send everything. If you want to go see whether your deed was recorded and get a copy before they send it to you, you can do easily look it up on the Orange County Comptroller site - https://or.occompt.com/recorder/web/login.jsp

@airjay75 thank you !

Interestingly , it is not recorded. Does that mean it is not closed and they lied? It is DVC Title and Escrow. I used them for both of my contracts and I will say the woman I worked with was much nicer than the man.. and he’s the one who emailed it was closed and it is not closed, according to the state of Florida

Closing happens before they record it. Closing is just where they verify all the signed documents and release the funds from escrow. In my experience, the first time, Mason recorded it the same day they closed and, the second time, the day after we closed. That said, if the title companies have a lot of contracts they're closing this week, they may wait to record them in one big batch, so it wouldn't surprise at all if it took longer than usual.

Can anyone recall from past experience whether new DVC accounts and the associated emails are set up and sent out by Disney over the holidays? I presume they’re closed today and tomorrow, but do they reopen between now and the new year? You can tell I’m impatient!

Yes they are open between the holiday!

Seller is grantor or grantee?

I bought 1 contract and sold 2 small ones so I can’t tell which is which. lol
Recorded on Dec 17th

We are so sad! Reading all these quick turn- arounds gave us hope we would be able to use points from our resale contract after all before 2027 ( owner had borrowed 2026 points into 2025 which remained in contract,, but if we don't have access to them to book a March trip by end of January they will be of no use to us ! )We knew that going in, but had false hope when we passed ROFR quickly and then closed on Dec 23rd we would be able to salvage them after all. But despite what we have been seeing here about quick turn arounds, member services is claiming despite the fact that we are adding same resort and use year as existing contract, due to holidays it will take additional time- like 7-8 weeks to process , so looks like we will be out of luck. So much for the theory that the extra $500 starting the first of year may add extra staff and speed things up lol :stir:

We closed on the 19th and are waiting too, I called up yesterday and was told the same thing (around 8 weeks processing time right now). Doesn’t add up with what’s on this thread at all though!

Hopefully this is more of the holiday delay and that come January 2nd, we will get back to the increased processing time!!!

I would put my money on increased processing time being used to soften the $500 blow or to close put 2025 and then it will be back to slow business as usual.

They dont have to speed up resale processing times sadly and why would they do anything to make resale sales more attractive. One of the things people cite that is attractive about buying direct is how fast those points are loaded. I hope im wrong, but those are my thoughts
