Wine and Dine 2015

He does... I just didn't know if the old band would be linked to our reservation already. Although his account should be linked, so maybe it will work like magic. :)

His old band will show up on his account but not yours. If he logs in (or you log into his account) he should see the old red band under his Magic Band.

Yeah, I just didn't know if it would already be set up to work properly with our reservation. I'm sure that they will straighten it out if it's not, though. :)

Has everyone seen the new event they have put up, the Welcome Reception? Quite pricey, but they seem to be playing to the motivation of the folk who want first dibs on the merchandise. Still only 1% sold, so not sure if it is an idea that is going to take off for other races...

Ugh I messed up my 3 mile run this morning by changing my intervals on my garmin. I guess I wasn't awake enough to realize that doubling my running time without adding any walk time would kill my legs. I did a 14, 15, then a 16 mm.

Visiting Chattanooga. I did 16 miles on the river walk at 11:30 pace in the rain doing 1:15/:45 intervals. It was a little like the Splash 'n' Dash last year. Ready for November, but also training for my first Disney marathon in January! Yay!!!

I completely spaced out on my schedule last week, and as a result I am running an unexpected 12.5 tomorrow. I didn't realize until late last night that I would have to be doing that. I had shifted my rD/Galloway plan forward a week to account for all my races, so the races fell on the short weeks. This was going to leave me with a 3 week taper, due to doing the last long run on 10/17. With a 5K race on 10/24, I couldn't really do my last long run that day unless I added a lot of distance at the race, but it's in an unfamiliar area. I figured I did a 3 week taper with the rD plan for Tink, it would be ok... I'd just maybe do a medium run at some point during the second taper week and it would be fine.

But at the beginning of last week, I somehow got it into my head that I'd screwed up because I had a race 10/4, how did I miscalculate that badly? I decided that instead of 4 last week (I did the 11 two weeks ago), I would do ~7, do the 5K race this weekend, and then I would be back on the original rD plan of 12.5 on 10/10. This was going to leave me with the 14 mile run on 10/24 the same day as my last race, but I was just going to do the race, and then try and do 8-9 on Sunday and hope for the best.

Well, last night I was looking for the parking info on the race website and noticed the ticker said 8 days until the race. Wait, what? GRRRR! The plan had never been screwed up. I knew at some point the race was the 11th, but somehow got it in my head recently that it was the 4th. Too late to do the run today... I ran a pretty hard 3 miles last night, and I don't run 2 days in a row, and we already had breakfast plans with the in-laws for this morning. Welp, hopefully those pancakes will power me through tomorrow! So I've had a pretty unintentional 3 weeks in a row of high mileage for me... 11 miles, then 7 miles last week, and now 12.5 tomorrow. I'm sure I'll be pretty glad next weekend to only have the 5K.

Wear tights under it! :thumbsup2
I would think that would feel kind of weird with the built in shorts already under the skirt. :) Hrm... I was planning on wearing just capris with a long sleeve half zip, but now I'm wondering if I should wear long tights. The temperature is forecast to be 42 (feels like 37) at 6:00 when I am planning on trying to start (generally that means I actually make it out about 15-20 min later since I can never seem to manage to start when I intend to). It'll still be "feels like" 42 around 9:00.

I wasn't actually prepared to start using long tights this early! I wonder where they are!

Got to get my 4 in today and 3 tomorrow. Not looking forward to it in 50 degrees but it is better than the 90s of this summer.

Long run planned here for tomorrow morning. Hoping the trail is not all mud. At least it is flat, but will have to watch footing. DW did water aerobics this am, while I swam for 50 minutes.

Started drawing up my packing list. Seems like fall is really here, so I can just put aside my WDW clothes, and pack away the rest of summer. :guilty:

I just read the Welcome Reception info to DW, and asked: "how much would you pay?" Her answer, "not how much I'd pay; how much would Disney charge?". She guessed $200. Too much cost for not enough value for us. A photo of the rolling duffel would be nice. Wonder how big it is?

I totally cheated this weekend. Supposed to do 15 yesterday. Windy and pouring down rain yesterday for 7th straight day. Husband balks at running outside. I didn't last longer than 6 miles on the treadmill. I hate that thing.

So, this morning, it's cloudy but not raining. Out I go. But, it's really windy and surface conditions were bad. Two downed trees completely blocked the path in two places causing me to re-route. Leaves and other debris made the way difficult. By the way, this is sidewalk or paved paths through parks.

I ran 9 and headed home. 9 plus 6 is 15, right?

Sure, as long as you did the OK Go - "Here It Goes Again" routine on the treadmill.
