Why do the English wear hats on their foreheads?

He does look yummy there, doesn't he? :goodvibes

And here's William's cousin Zara, who apparently traveled from the future to be there:

And look at the license plate on the car after the ceremony! So sweet.

Aw, speaking of sweet... Harry with the kidlets. So cute.

I've never heard David Beckham speak. I did last night. :scared1: He sounds like a whiney child. Kind of killed it for me. :sad2:

I saw them leave the church in a carriage and then left for work. When did they get in a car? Guess I'd better go back and watch more video -- I missed something.

And Harry with the kidlets. Why is it that he looks like he completely fits in and is enjoying it as much as the children? ;) I think Harry is much happier with them than he would have been with the adults. I know he and Prince William and Kate are adults, but there was an endearing, childlike quality to them at times today. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean immature, but rather playful.

.

They drove off in the car when they left the palace reception..

They did go back to the palace in a carriage , after they were on the balcony and after they had there lunch with 600 people they came out in the car to go rest at the place Prince William left this morning. Rest up for the dinner Charles is throwing them of 100 people of close friends and family. This surprised everyone!

Then the Queen and Charles and Cameia are leaving and Harry is having his bash, the couple is staying for that too by the sounds of it.

Everyone now is wondering if she will change into something different for the night celebrations and what that might be.

Thank you. Once I left home this morning (once they had arrived at the Palace) I missed everything after. Stupid question, why would Prince Harry throw a party without them? Sounds as if there was a possibility that they weren't going to attend? :confused3

The thing with a trend is, you can choose to adopt it, or adapt it, or ignore it.

I'm surprised at how surprised I am at the critical comments here. You don't like it? Great. Don't wear it. I'm also shocked at how many people here have such an excellent sense of style they feel comfortable criticizing or insulting the princesses' taste.

I love dishing about fashion. You don't wear a hat like that unless you want to be noticed and commented on. Yep, I watch Fashion Police too.

Because I think it is all for the young people and that two of the rooms have been changed into a Disco. He is also having a survival breakfast for who ever makes it until 6:00 am . Harry knows how to throw a party. I hear there will be no staff there either to report back to the Queen.

Most of the couples usually just have the luncheon and then leave on their honeymoon. The dinner Charles is having for them is not normal either.

I think there were really nice hats too.

Our new anchors said that David Beckham had his metal on the wrong side.

I was watching TLC this morning after the wedding and they were a hoot with the hats too so it is not only on here. Clinton from What not to Wear said he was surprised to see so many woman wearing hose. He said the two young princess Beatice and Euginie should not have been wearing them. Young girls do not need them.

After our wedding, a bunch of our friends hung out together. If you don't always get together, it's nice to have a party while you're all there.

One doesn't have to have excellent style to recognize a truly hideous fashion choice. If it bothers you that people are talking about it, you might want to ignore this thread. I'm sure you have never criticized anything... :rolleyes1

Fashion is always a debatable topic.:thumbsup2

While I can respect a custom and a trend, it would be the quite generous individual who could look past some questionable selections on display today.

We have a set of minnie mouse ears with a bow on a headband that my daughter wore when she dressed up as Minnie. When I saw Beatrice's headpiece--that was the first thing that I thought of when I saw her. It isn't rude--it is simply how she appeared.

Outside of Kate, her and Eugenie seem to be the most hotly spoken about fashion trends today and in their case, that is not a good thing. One might say that it was almost an attempt at an upstage. One might question if they were attempting to be rude with their selections.

Now--to speak to them as the folks on the People of Walmart website--sure, that isn't very nice. It doesn't make their wardrobe choices any better though by speaking about them favorably.

Since it is highly likely these young ladies had these hats custom designed for them on this occasion--I do question their thought process.

I dont think I have to have excellent sense of style to know that those pants worn at your thighs with the crotch at the knees aren't attractive either. Fashion is subjective, people have opinions on it.

Come on lighten up! Did you see the way they are wearing their hats? :joker::joker: It's funny and we're not the only ones who think so. I watched Regis this morning and caught a bit of The View - the hats were the topic. Not a person on this thread insulted anyone, I think the Royals are wonderful! I just happen to find some of their choices for head coverings to be hysterical. Sheesh!

You could do the same thing you preached - you don't like it - don't read about it. Sorry you are so offended.

Criticizing others is not ok.

Criticizing others that are criticizing others IS ok. Got it!:thumbsup2

Hey add this, according to another thread, you have no right to care about any of this unless you are an English citizen. My bad. :rolleyes1

There's no pixie dust on the Fashion Board! :rotfl:

I thought the Spencer girls (Diana's nieces) had awesome hats. They were fashion forward without going over the top.

My English Citizen relatives gave me full permission. So I am exempt from that proclamation. The English told me so.:thumbsup2
