Everyone must be very busy today. We certainly were! We went to Worlds of Fun, our local amusement park, and spent nearly the whole day there. We didn't actually ride very many rides, since it was just me and the girls, and Emma is too small for most rides. The ones that she can ride bore Lyzzie to tears. So we just meandered around and did lots of other fun stuff. Emma got her face painted, Lyzzie got some henna on one finger, and we did the old-fashioned photos. I'll have to scan them in and post them here, they came out sooooo cute! I'm way too tired now though... I have no idea how I'm going to make it through a week at WDW when just one "slow" day at Worlds of Fun wiped me out! I just keep telling myself that Florida doesn't have hills, and I won't have both kids so I'll be fine. I'm not sure if my back believes me though!

We visited Molly at my parents' house on our way out & back home. She is such a cute puppy! Emma just adores her to pieces, but she's so funny. She doesn't like claws, so whenever she wants to hold Molly, Emma runs and gets this towel that she puts on her lap so she won't get scratched. The poor dog was so tired that she was sleeping in Emma's lap despite Emma trying to pry her little eyes open!

Tomorrow my parents want to bring Molly over to our house because we have a fenced in backyard (they don't) and they want to see how she does outside off the leash. I just hope there's no holes in the fence, because we are surrounded by big neighbor dogs who will look at Molly and think, "Yum, snack!"

I hope everyone had as much fun as we did today, and enjoyed the lovely weather! We are supposed to get rain tomorrow, but today got up past 80. I almost had to turn on the a/c in the house!!

Good morning, everyone!!! I hope you all enjoyed your Saturday!! We had fabulous weather; I love it!!! In honor of Amber; our lucky Cliqueless chickie that should be in WDW by now; I think we'll have some Tigger waffles from The Crystal Palace. Yummm!!!

I hope you all have a Super, Sun-filled Sunday!!!:tigger: :tigger:

lyzziesmom:: Sounds like you had a great time at Worlds of Fun!!:woohoo: Our closest theme park is Six Flags St. Louis, and it's about 100 miles away!
In the other direction is Holiday World in Indiana; it about 144 miles away!
Glad to hear Emma and Molly get along so well.:goodvibes I hope Molly's visit to your house goes well.

Well, we have to go visit my MIL today. She is having cousins visit her from out of town and wants us to be there, too!! Nathan is just going to love being in a small apartment on such a beautiful day.

Have a great day everyone!!!:sunny:

Good Morning!

Donna- Thanks for breakfast! Sounds like Nathan had a great time at his Boy Scout activities!

Lyzziesmom- Sounds like you had a great time yesterday too!

Hey Cliqueless DISers! Busy day around the lyzziesmom household today, we had Molly over visiting while my parents and I did some landscaping, and the girls played with her in the backyard. She loves to fetch a ball! She must have startled our resident chipmunk, because he ran out of his hidey-hole under the porch and ran right under Emma's chair!

I finally got around to scanning in some pictures! Here's Lyzzie's spring school photo, I just love it! She looks like such a big kid.
Lyzzie2ndGradeSpringPhoto.jpg

And here are the old-time photos we had done yesterday:
SaloonGirls2sepia.jpg

This one is my favorite, I just love the look on Lyzzie's face:
SaloonGirlssepia.jpg

Emma was so funny, she thought the prop gun was a squirt gun and she kept calling it a "squirter." The photographer caught on and just kept telling her to "squirt over here!" It was lots of fun and well worth the exorbitant prices, although not something we'll do again anytime soon.

Hope everyone's having a great Sunday!

I was going to suggest Shanti, she was the little girl in Jungle Book 2.
ohhh:cloud9: great idea. Kennys all time favorite movie when he was little was Jungle Book 2!!! I probably know it word for word. we use to watch it over and over and over!

We had DS's first baseball game tonight. It was fun and they won.
:cheer2: :woohoo:  way to go!! That sure sounds like a great time!

Hi!! We're back from the Cub Scout outing!! Nathan had a blast. It was held at Carlyle Lake recreation grounds....plenty of room for the boys to blow off some steam!!:yay: There were stations for shooting BB guns, slingshots, and an Archery station, too!!!

It's a gorgeous day out!! I love this weather!!!:sunny:

Enjoy your Saturday, everyone!!
omg..that sounds awesome. Kenny would have been in HEAVEN! :cool1:

well yesterday started w/Kennys soccer game...the other team never showed:confused3 so we were off to the rental to fix the broken spring on my moms garage door and put a "for sale" sign up! Mom said a few of her clients were interested...so that would be awesome!!! I let Kenny ride his bike, we threw the baseball back and forth for awhile, rode the 4 wheeler for awhile. Kenny loves that! What boy doesn't ;) we watched an AWESOME movie! Have any of you watched "The Forgotten" OMG it was so awesome!!! I had to watch both versions..the theatrical version and the alternate ending version both. I loved it!

You guys are a chatty bunch lately. I am so behind.

I have had a busy weekend. Yesterday we traded in our van and got a Jeep Patriot. It is soooooo much smaller than I am used to, but it is suppose to get much better gas mileage.

I am such a bad bad Aunt. :guilty: I forgot Nick's birthday is tomorrow. I didn't send him a card or order his gift.:sad2: I seem to forget all the birthdays lately, it must be old age.:rolleyes1 Sorry Nick!:flower3:

Since I never got back to finish the final chapter of the poodle skirt I thought I would let you know how it ended............:lmao:
I was able to sew the 2 panels together and it called for a zipper, but I chose the easy way out and decided safety pins would suffice. I let Madison try it on and luckily everything fit perfectly, which is a good thing because I didn't size it at all. That would have just complicated the whole thing, so luck was definitely on my side.;) Then comes yesterday, the day of the dance. Madison had been home sick from school Thursday and Friday. Well about 3 Saturday morning Madison came into my room running a fever of just under 105. The poor thing was on fire.:sad2: The fever finally broke about 9:30 and we told her she needed to stay quiet so that maybe she would be able to still go to the dance for a little while, I would have been so sad all this hard work on the stupid dress and then she couldn't even go. Well she was feeling better so we got her ready to go, she was so darn cute. David said the dance was really cute, and that Madison's skirt was the best :rolleyes1 . They ended up coming home a little early because she wasn't feeling well, but Madison was glad she got to go. I am happy to say the poodle skirt made it throughout the night!!!:dance3: :cheer2: Soooooooo drum roll please......:rockband:

Isn't she just too darn precious!!! David gave her a little Tinkerbell necklace.

Lesa!!! :cloud9:  princess: she looks so adorable!!! that skirt is AWESOME! You did a great job, thankfully huh? It was definitely worth all the hard work. it came out so adorable! Glad she got to at least go and enjoy it for awhile. Her tink necklace is too cute!

Yeah, the jeep is much smaller, but hopefully it will be worth it w/the better gas mileage it should get ;)!!

:woohoo: I'm back from my day of visiting relatives!!!

lyzziesmom::Those pics of the girls are so good!!! Your right, Lyzzies school pic makes her look so grown-up.

Lesa:: Madison's skirt looks so professional.:thumbsup2 Madison definitely looks the part of a "sock-hopper"!! How sweet of David to get her a Tinkerbell necklace. I'm sorry she didn't feel well for her big night.
I love your new Jeep. As a former van owner; you'll love the gas mileage and the easier handling, but you'll probably miss that extra seat now and then.

Love the pic's, they are precious!!!!!!! :cool1: Dave looks so proud/happy... good for him. It's Great !!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys! She did look so sweet!!! The skirt looks professional because I didn't show you a close up of it.;) :rotfl2: I do have to say that I was mighty proud of myself throwing it together, using a Barbie sewing machine.:lmao:

Donna, I do like the Jeep, but I know I will definitely miss the extra room and seats. Just today we went and bought mulch and I didn't think I would be able to fit it all in the back. I do like the new car smell though!!

Tomorrow I have the ultrasound on my thyroid and some blood work. I'm getting worried because since the Dr showed me how swollen it was, that is all I notice now.

Well have a good night, Maddie needs her mommy shes not feeling well again.:guilty: I will try to catch up with everyone tomorrow.

Lesa:: good luck with your tests tomorrow.

Dznyfan:: I hope Erin's surgery goes well. :grouphug:

howdy pardners!!!!

Lesa----Maddie's skirt turned out great!!!! Who cares what it looks like up close----if they can see the flaws, they're too close!!! David does look like a proud papa!!! And how sweet of him to give her a Tink necklace. I hope she is feeling better.
I just got my new car last week. Mine is white as well!!!! We can be twins, however, mine is a Mazda6, so yours is still bigger. But, coming from a little Volkswagon convertible, mine is huge now---but city girl can still parallel park. Does your new Jeep have a GPS system?? I still remember our conversation about them whilst (do I sound English??:lmao: ) walking in AK.
Keeping you in my prayers tomorrow for your testing.:hug:

Donna---thanks for breakfast this morning. The Tigger waffle is too cute. I think I want to go to CP now------it always looks so pretty and crystally  inside.
You spent today inside at your MIL's?? It was such a lovely day, but it is rainy now------is it at your house??
I had to remember this weekend that they had HWY 40 shut down because they took the Tamm Ave. bridge down-----right at the Zoo----do you believe that??----on such a beautiful sunshiney weekend?? I wonder how that effected Forest Park business.

YM---yay for the baseball win!!!! Were you one of "those" moms on the sidelines??;) :lmao:
That's all.:rotfl:

Lyzziesmom----Molly is too cute!! What a face. It looks like Emma is in heaven with her. I love the pictures of the girls in the old-fashioned photos. I love that they are barefoot----just adds to the "scene" of the picture.
Have Molly and Oreo met??:scared1:

Linda----sounds like you had a busy day. You'll have to post some more pics of Kenny playing soccer. I can't believe the other team never showed!!! Is that an automatic win for your team??
Yep, my b-day is the 26th, but I try to forget about it.:rolleyes1
Your big day is right after mine, girlie-----and isn't it a special one for you??
Good luck with the car----hopefully it won't be anything too serious.

Pozey---good luck tomorrow on your first day at your new job.:surfweb:

I know I missed Amber's send-off, but HOPE YOU'RE HAVING A GREAT TRIP AMBER!!!!!! Can't wait to hear how it all went when you get back.
Still thinking about your uncle and wishing him well.

Hey Nicole!!!! How's everything going in your world????

DznyFan----how's Erin holding up?? Is she nervous for tomorrow?? Keeping her in my prayers. Let us know how she did, if you get a chance.
I found a frozen hot chocolate recipe. I'll post it in a bit.

Ash----are you doing okay?? Getting ready for your trip??

Hey Lin----wasssssup???? Did you have to work this weekend??

Hi Michele----how's Lilly??? Happy early birthday to Nick!!!

I know you can't read this----but HI Yolanda!!!! Hope all is going well with the move.

Hi Angela, Sherri, April.

Hi to anyone I may have missed.

I just booked a little weekend trip to Ft. Lauderdale in a couple of weeks. My niece is making her First Communion and since I am her Godmother, will fly down for the event. At first, I didn't think it was feasible, but after talking to my sister, she really wanted me to come down soon, so we started looking at that particular weekend. It is good, because I didn't want my niece to think her First Communion was going unacknowledged-----my family (aunts, uncles, etc) always made a big deal about events like this.

Also, my grandma had surgery today. She fell and broke her hip on Friday, but I don't know yet the extent of it. I will try and see her tomorrow-----I really debated on going today, but evidentally she had lots of visitors (who were coughing and sneezing-----heard them myself through the phone), and I really should not be in a hospital with my new meds. But, once again, I can't go without seeing her-----I would feel horrible if something happened.

Linda-----I forgot to respond about the movie you watched. I think I have heard of "Unforgotten", but for the life of me can't jog my memory. Please do this old, foggy brain a favor and refresh it. Thanks, dear.

DznyFan---- I had this recipe torn out from In Touch magazine from March of 2005. It is not specifically Serendipity's recipe. I remember seeing that one somewhere but you had to have their special blend of chocolate, so I didn't write it down. Here is the one from the magazine.
eta: I just googled Serendipity3 and they do have a special mix in pouches. Try this one ----since you've had the real thing, it'll be interesting to hear a comparison.

"Frrrrozen Hot Chocolate"

serves 1

--six 1/2-oz. pieces of plain milk or dark chocolate
--2tsp. sweetened cocoa (another recipe also says storebought hot chocolate mix)
--1 1/2 Tbs. sugar
--1 1/2 cups milk
--3 cups ice
--1/2 cup whipped cream
--1 oz. chocolate shavings

In the top of a double boiler, over hot simmering water, melt the chocolate pieces. Add the cocoa and sugar, stirring constantly until well blended. Slowly add 1/2 cup of milk and stir until smooth. Cool to room temperature. In a blender, add the remaining milk, the chocolate mixture and the ice. Blend on high speed until smooth. Pour into a 20oz. goblet and top with whipped cream and shaved chocolate. Enjoy with a spoon or straw.
Work time: 10 min.

Maybe Erin would enjoy some of this after her surgery tomorrow.:confused3 ;)

ooooh, I forgot something really important!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS CLIQUERS ON 1000 PAGES!!!!!!!!!

 :cool1:  :yay:  :dance3:

Can you believe it's been almost a year since we all started chattin'??:hyper2: :hyper2: :hyper2: :hyper2:

why do I have this strange, odd feeling that I am talking to myself??:scared:

oh, somebody humor the Pin-cess and say something!!

:bored: :bored: :bored:
