How am I going to live without Dising for a month? It's going to be torture! Oh well, I think I'll live.

It's sunny here today but they are saying we are going to have a major snowstorm move in tomorrow. Guess I'll have to start dreaming of beaches and sun again.

Well, I need to get kiddo to school and then I'm in for a nother day of packing.

Yolanda: SNOW?? Yikes! It's been rainy here since Monday night, Emma has been begging to go outside and dance in the rain, but it's only about 38 degrees so I had to make her cry when I said no. I tried to tell her she can dance in the rain when it's warm rain, but it's hard to look forward to things when you're only 2. Heck, it can be hard when you're 32!

pozey: You really have got yourself a couple of great boys. Swimming with the teenagers, wow. Did you get any pictures? I bet it was quite a sight! Glad to hear Colton had a great birthday -- sounds like he's quite the popular boy. It won't be too long before he's beating the girls away with a stick!

Linda: I had to laugh at you almost hoping Kenny's dad won't show up, so you can take him to the museum. I used to feel that way too. Now I'm glad I don't have to bother with it -- but it sure would be nice to have a weekend to myself once in a while.

Yesterday at work I was talking with a couple of the ladies here about men and dating and such things, and I was mentioning how it was so hard to break up with my last DBF -- the one who sent the Wiggles tickets for the girls -- because we really liked each other but we just clashed over how much time to spend together. I had mentioned how sometimes I feel like I made a mistake and I miss him, and once in a while think of trying to reconnect with him. This morning I checked my email and lo and behold, there's a message from him! How weird is that?!? Apparently he texted me a while ago to ask how the girls liked the concert, but I never got the message, so this is the first I've heard from him since January. How's that for timing!

My boss is coming in today from HQ, and she didn't even tell me! I found out from someone else here in the office, who she just mentioned it to yesterday afternoon. So I am scrambling this morning to get my desk neat and tidy, and make sure I have enough busywork to seem occupied when she arrives.

Thanks for the breakfast Donna! I love kids' meals -- the portions are just right for me and my tiny appetite (and the price is just right for my tiny budget!)

Speaking of my tiny appetite, I hopped on the scale last night, and then again this morning and somehow I gained 2 pounds overnight! WTH?? I'm going to assume I'm wearing 2 more pounds of clothing tonight... yeah, that's the ticket.

This morning I checked my email and lo and behold, there's a message from him!

My boss is coming in today from HQ, and she didn't even tell me!

I gained 2 pounds overnight!

Most definitely!! He's picked him up 4 x's this YEAR. It just hurts Kenny and it ticks me off. He never knows if he's gonna show up and then I have to explain that it's not his fault you're lucky you don't have to deal w/them!! I'm sure you would enjoy a break, but at least if they're w/you, you know their safe !! I think we're gonna have to head up to that museum. it sounds like Kenny would love it! that is, if his dad doesn't show up which, he probably won't He did get him 2 weeks ago and then he said he shouldn't have come and got him b/c his now ex-wife called and wanted him to watch HER son... so he was complaining he had Kenny and shouldn't have picked him up b/c he ended up having to watch his ex-step-son WTH...your SON isn't as important as your EX-step-son what a jack@$$ He told Kenny he was moving back in w/his parents and selling the log cabin. His parents do need help medically...but he never gave a rats patootie before... I guess that's another reason he might not be getting Kenny too. I just thought of that... his mom has been really sick the past 5 years. Her nerves couldn't handle that... I guess we'll see.

oh no!!! Poor Blake! That reminds me to email my best friends dh about that he forwards me some very interesting emails I just delete them, but that is all I need is to get in trouble for receiving XXX emails!

Another guy got the emails, but he is just getting 'talked to' since he didn't forward them on to anyone. I just talked to Blake. They had the talk with the morons this morning. But they haven't told them yet what their punishment will be. I guess corporate is calling by the end of today to let them know. So they have to work while worrying all day!! Blake said 1 week suspension is the least, but they probably won't be fired. Can you imagine what a stressful day this is for them. Blake said his stomach has been in knots and he isn't in trouble for anything.

I just had to share, Mike agreed to go in Sept. I made our ADR's and got EVERYTHING I wanted!! We are doing Le Cellier twice (lunch/dinner), 'Ohana, Boma, Mama Melrose, Crystal Palace, and Chefs de France. At first I booked Nine Dragons, but then Mike thought that Chefs would be better. I am so excited!!

Lucky you!!! I'm so jealous!!!

I am trying to work on Lilly's room today. I called Bree on her way home from school and had her pick me up something from the hardware store.

She walks in and looks me over...I have on my Crocs, my painting pants that used to be pajama pants so they are purple with snowmen all over, an old Mickey t-shirt with holes that I use for painting and coloring my hair. I also have a grocery bag tied over my head so I don't get paint in my hair!! She looks at me and says....you only have 1 earring in!

Are you kidding....with this whole lovely outfit...THAT'S what she noticed !!!

Well, I just had a bit of a scare! I spent a couple of hours yesterday trying to get into my content certification test for theatre only to find out I wasn't able to yet...well this morning it popped up that I could register for it, only the deadline was YESTERDAY! I was fuming. So I go to the testing schedule for the state and I can't take the next test because its during our cruise and that left the August test. Well, according to my program I can only get approval to take one test per day but I have to take both of these before the start of the next school year. So, I call the Texas Certification board and speak with a really nice guy who tells me that I absolutely can take both on the same day and not to worry, just to make sure that I register as soon as registration opens up. He also says that even though the program I am in says I can't take more than one in a day that I can and if I have to I can get a letter from the certification board stating that if they tell me that they won't let me. So, hopefully it will all work out!!!!! And now I have 4 months to worry about it!!!! Ugh, if that approval had popped up yesterday I could have registered to take it this Saturday, but they sent it to me ONE DAY LATE!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Linda, and any other peeps with an idea, we want to make my inlaws a bag of goodies for the cruise and leave it in their room as a thank you. What would be some practical and/or fun things that we could put in it?
So far we are going to get them each a beach towel, a book, some dremamine and sunscreen...but we want it to be more fun than that!!!

is it a disney cruise? I'm so sorry..I forget!! If it is, and they're castaway club members...they'll already get some goodies in their room. I can tell you what is included if that's what you're doing. but in general...a nice goodie bag would definitely be the beach towel, book, dramamine, and sunscreen. Some others I'll have to think about that one. do they have crocks? do they buy any of the pix? maybe a package for Shutters? Highlighters are always good to mark your Navigator. you can take a poster or photograph, pillowcase, lithograph...about anything and drop off w/colorful sharpies and leave at guest services and the characters will sign it and leave it in your room at the end... I'll think of some more and I'm sure the rest of us will have good ideas too!

I'm into work late today, as we spent the morning in the Ortho's office, and YM you get the prize!! (not sure what it is yet....) Next stop, MRI. The doc didn't like the play in the joint and is concerned about multiple tears in the MCL, ACL and even possible the Meniscis. (spelling?). We shall see, praying none of these. They put her in this megabrace - I keep joking that she's the bionic woman (not that she has a CLUE who that is...). I told the nurse it looked like it would take a degree in engineering just to figure out how to put the thing on!

Good afternoon everyone.

Well, about 10:00 a.m. this morning, Courtney's daycare called. They said she bumped her mouth and her two top front teeth were hurt. She said that one of them was "bent back". So, I had to rush and get her.

By the time I got there, Courtney had settled down and she was doing fine. Her teeth look awful......and painful.

So, I called our dentist, but he can't see her until tomorrow morning. I took her home, cleaned her up, and gave her some Tylonol. She was feeling fine, and said she wanted to go back. So I took her back and came back to work.

Tomorrow morning, I am taking her to the dentist. I'm sure they'll x-ray them to see what needs to be done.
