Good Morning!

Thanks for the breakfast Donna!

Linda- Kenny looks so cute in his uniform!

Dznyfan- I hope Erin gets accepted! Just think, you'll have to go visit her often!

Amber- I hope you feel better!

Lyzziesmom- I hope the sump pump finally gets fixed!

I hope all our cliqueless moms had a great mother's day!

Just trying to get caught up a little bit from the weekend’s happenings…..
First off…………I don’t know if I ever told all the Mothers here in the Cliqueless Clique HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY. Hope everyone had a GREAT DAY yesterday.

Hi everyone, I'm back! We had a great time, and I can't believe it's over already. There were a few things we didn't get to do, but it was so nice knowing we will be back in September and have the chance to do everything. (As if you can ever do "everything" in WDW!" Somehow I got my planning screwed up and we were not able to see Spectro. I'll have to plan better for next time!
Welcome back lyzziesmom!! I am glad you had a good time. And once again, I am very jealous of you – you are going back again in September??? No fair!!
But we had a blast, I took a TON of pictures - filled up a 1G memory card and then some! Will download later or tomorrow - and rode nearly everything.
Waiting on the pictures………
It was much more crowded than we are used to, but the lines really weren't bad at all. Lyzzie decided she LOVES Space Mountain and I think we rode 7 times. Not to be outdone, we rode Everest 8 times!
Isn’t Everest great!! I think that ended up being Colton’s favorite ride on our last trip.
Lyzzie has a sleepover party for her best friend's birthday tonight at the Great Wolf Lodge
We received a postcard/flyer thing in the mail some time back about Great Wolf Lodge. That looked really cool. We may have to make a trip up there sometime.

I have a neat story to share with you all - we're at our local annual "festival" last night, as the HS Jazz Choir had to perform. Afterwards, (some of) the parents and the kids were standing around talking. Now, the friend of Erin's that is going with us in THREE weeks is also in our jazz choir. She has a friend who is now a sophomore in college who works at WDW in the college program. In fact, the girls have plans to get together with him while we're out there. Well, last night she says she has someone she wants me to meet, and introduces me to the CP friend - who is in town for a few days!! Nice kid, we visited about Disney, and the resorts (he lifeguards), CP, and about how he got back here and went "there's no magic here? where's the magic?" When I got ready to leave I said 'bye' to him, and he says..... (after the 'nice to meet you' formalities) "Have a magical day!!".

Yeah, that's it. Corny I know, but I thought it was pretty darn cool - even away from WDW he was the typical cast member - and it made my evening!
Cool story!! By the way, how was Rooster Days? We never made it out there this weekend.

It's a lovely day here, now if I can get rid of this darn headache :headache: so I can enjoy the day...
I have to take DD shopping, then off to a BBQ competition. (I'd be there all day but have to go shopping, you know....)

Ya'll have a lovely day!
It was a very nice weekend here…….even if it was a little on the warm side. DznyFan……how was the BBQ competition? Did you guys do any good?
Oh, I have a new picture of Lilly I have to share...

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!

While we were in Epcot, Lyzzie and I got matching Henna tattoos on our arms from the lady at Morocco. I let Lyzzie choose the design and of course she chose the most elaborate, expensive one. But I was pretty much expecting that. When I was at the dr. yesterday, he pointed to it and said, "What the heck is that? Did you get all wild on me since the last time you were here??" It's so funny seeing people's reactions. Good thing he hasn't discovered my REAL tattoos, that would really throw him for a loop!!
Funny story!! Colton and Chase love getting Henna Tattoos!!

YM - yes, busy weekend and it's SO nice!! On top of everything else, Erin has several friends coming over tonight for "Disney Movie Night", so it's off to clean the bottom story of the house, she gets the upstairs, because I'm sending them all up to the game room tonight. DH didn't get any sleep last night at the cookoff and he'll be exhausted tonight. He'll be Mr. Grumpy Gills for sure! And we found a dress!!!! After 5 stores and countless "unh-uh"s, we finally went to (as she calls it) ghetto Dillards (the closeout one at the old Eastland Mall) and found a beautiful midnight blue halter dress. She's kind of hard to shop for because she's built well (didn't get it from me!), and all the 'nice' dresses are although flattering, very, well, uh.... I don't know how to put it. :confused3
Glad you found a nice dress for Erin. I don’t think I’ve been to the “Ghetto” Dillards in quite some time. Is it truly a “closeout” Dillards? I may have to make a trip out there soon.

ahhh I lost my post!!!! lets try this again:headache:

that reminds me...dznyfan, I hope you're feeling better!

ok, yesterday was Kennys soccer game...they won like 7-0 or something but it was against an all girl team and the boys were afraid to be too aggressive w/them:rolleyes1 here are a few cute pix gramma Sammy took...

I hope everyone has a Magnificent Monday!!!:hippie:

YYYYUUUUUUUMMMMM E!

Thanks Donna!!

I am so sick. :guilty: I was fine until last night and then my throat started hurting. I didn't get much sleep at all. I hope it goes away quickly, because I hate feeling sick.

Have a great day everyone!!
I am so sorry to hear that your aren't feeling well. I hate that! Hope you start feeling better really soon!

Hope all you moms and aunts had a great Mother's Day yesterday - I swam, went to the bottom of my pool on the deep end and removed a crawfish from the pool, went to Ted's for lunch, and Fuji for dinner topped off with a trip to Cold Stone afterward! Erin got me a new pool float. Nice!
DznyFan........Sounds like you had a nice day.

It's funny that you mention the crawfish...... Last Friday, before leaving to take the kids to daycare/school and head off to work, our dog was outside barking its head off. And she normally does not bark AT ALL. So, I go outside to see what she is barking at. Right beside the back porch, she is barking like made at.......a crawfish. Well, Colton and Chase decide to put it in a jar and take it to the Boys & Girls Club to show everyone. When they get there, they show everyone. And they name it........Prego.....(because they had put it in an empty Prego Spaghetti Sauce jar. And they all take it out by the pond and let it loose.

Oh! I almost forgot... :( Darling daughter 'o mine broke my heart yesterday... she said she has changed her first college choice to...........

The University of Central Florida! :worried:

On the advice of her voice teacher (who has trained 3 Miss Americas) told her if she plans to work for Disney in Florida, she should go straight there after high school and go to school there so that she can work for the company immediately instead of going to college here then going to work for them after she graduates. :sad1: sigh.
she actually had been considering that school once before when she was considering forensics for a major.

Amber, I hope you get to feeling better soon.

DznyFan......what was her initial first choice of college?

Oh, and one more thing.......DW's cousin works in HR for Disney in Orlando. Is there anything that I could ask her to help Erin out? I know she does a lot of HR work for Casting.

"rrrrrrrRRRRRRchugchugCHUGCHUGclunkclunkCLUNKCLUNKclickrrrrrrrRRRRRRRR!"

Linda: I think I'll pass on the Disney briefs, thank you!! Emma still won't wear panties for me but she has had zero accidents, including when we are out & about. That girl can really hold it! ETA: Love the pictures! Kenny is just such a cutie pie.
yikes, that don't sound good... yeah, Kenny was talking about our trip this weekend and the only peoples names he could remember was Emma and YM. I started saying everyone elses names and he was like...OH yeah!!! that must mean its time to go again! I told Mike we should go on the cruise for the premiere for POC:idea: but he said he can't afford it since he has to pay out his youngest. DARN!

I love it too...

Linda, great pics of Kenny!

I am so tired this morning. We did a ton of yardwoork this weekend, including creating to new flower beds along the walkway. It's not finished yet (I still need a few more flowers) but it's looking great.

I am so sick. I was fine until last night and then my throat started hurting. I didn't get much sleep at all. I hope it goes away quickly, because I hate feeling sick.

Have a great day everyone!!
 hope you get to feeling better soon! I hate feeling bad too, which is really hard to avoid this time of year:guilty: I wish we'd get some rain! I bet the new flower beds look great though.

Linda - Kenny looks so focused in that first picture, like he's really serious and really concentrating... cute!

Nice!

 Everybody have a wonderful Monday!
Yeah, he is really getting into it. He really enjoyed his 1st t-ball practice too. It was so hilarious:rotfl2: I heard him tell the coach...."I have to warn you, I can sure talk a lot":lmao: which is the truth :rolleyes1

Oh! I almost forgot... Darling daughter 'o mine broke my heart yesterday... she said she has changed her first college choice to...........

The University of Central Florida!
sounds like a great excuse to visit FL often though:rolleyes1 I'm so glad I have so long before I have to worry about those college years.:scared: Her major will be forensics? That is awesome!!!

Good Linda- Kenny looks so cute in his uniform!
thanks Nicole. I think so too:cool2: He tries so hard. He wants to go to soccer camp too:woohoo: I can't wait to see him in t-ball:cheer2: Its so cute watching him run the bases!! His little legs:blush:

Woohoo!!! I passed my classes!!! Oh yeah, and I made my ADR's yesterday! WCC, LTT, Le Ceiller, and Boma!:dance3:
Yay!!!:yay: that is great news!! Great adr's too!! I've never eaten at Boma but we're going to have to try that soon!

Great pictures Linda!! Love the action shots!!:cool1:
thanks. G-ma Sammy has the canon 20d...She told Mike he should get me the 30d:banana: I want that SO bad!!! I think I'm going to have to break down and just go get it!

DW's cousin works in HR for Disney
wow...what a great job:love: !!!!

Well, it appears that my DW will be doing quite a bit of traveling soon. :car:

I’m not sure if I have told everyone or not, but DW works for the Department of Veteran Affairs. She has a GREAT job. She is about 2 steps down from the Regional Director.

Anyway, she is going to New Orleans June 4th – June 8th for what they call a “Site Visit”. She, and several others go to another Regional Office and basically observe them and give them recommendations on how to improve their operations. She has done this before – in Pittsburgh.

Then, just after she gets back, we are leaving for vacation. We are driving to The Grand Canyon.

And then, sometime in July, she is going to go to Buffalo, New York for some kind of training class. I told her that she will be less than a half hour away from Niagara Falls. I told her that she will have the opportunity to see 2 of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World in less than a month. How cool is that?!? :cool1:

She went to a one-day deal with the Regional Director about a week or so ago. He told her that if she wanted to, he could send her to work in Central Office in Washington, DC for 2 months. At the end of the 2 months, she would bump up 2 grade levels (she is a GS13 now). That would equate to a raise of anywhere from $10,000 - $25,000 per year. :yay: She is really contemplating that. And after a 2 month stint in Central Office, she would more than likely be offered an Assistant Director position at the location of her choice.

That is awesome!!

I've been to Niagara Falls twice (winter & summer). It is a cool place to visit. If she can go over to the Canadian side, there is a lot to do (and it is prettier than the American side).

Any tips/pointers/advice that we can get is greatly appreciated - particularly in the entertainment areas -that's what department she wants to start in.
I'll e-mail DW's cousin. I'll see what kind of information she can give me.

I've heard the Canadian side is prettier. She doesn't know for sure whether she will be going to Buffalo or not. She won't find out for another week or two.

She will definitely be going to New Orleans in June though.

DznyFan: A crawfish in the pool? Ick!! When I was about 11, we went camping with a bunch of extended family and I remember collecting crawfish from a spring with my uncle (who is only 3 years older than I am) and cousins (younger). We put about 20 of them in a bucket and then forgot about them when it was discovered that there were leeches in the spring - and on my feet! EEEEWWWW!! Long story short, both the crawfish and the leeches died horrible deaths. I felt bad about the crawfish, and victorious about the leeches.

Cold Stone .... yummmy!

I went to UCF for a year - it was a nice school. I can't remember now why I didn't continue... I think it had something to do with a boyfriend back home (d'oh!) and a roommate problem. Has she considered Rollins College? It's pretty close to UCF and I hear it's a better school, unless things have changed drastically in the past *ahem* 15 or so years.

Welcome back lyzziesmom!! I am glad you had a good time. And once again, I am very jealous of you – you are going back again in September??? No fair!!

Waiting on the pictures………

Yep, the whole famdamily is tagging along in September... my parents, my brother and his girlfriend. I'm really apprehensive about how that is going to actually work out - DB and his GF are quite lazy and consider 4pm to be the crack of dawn. They also routinely miss appointments and are chronically late - by several hours - so I'm really nervous about our ADR's. But I am determined to have a good time anyway! My mom is also considering inviting Lyzzie's dad and grandparents to join us... I will need a vacation from that vacation!! I've seriously considered staying a few extra days after everyone else leaves just to unwind and get to have MY vacation, MY way... which never seems to happen with so much other family around.

Lyzzie had a fantastic time at the Great Wolf Lodge. I just wish I could have gone too, it seems really cool and I've wanted to go for a couple years now. But every time I price it out, I think "I could spend a week at WDW for just a few $$$ more."

pozey: that sounds like such a great opportunity for your DW! I'm sure it would be hard if she decided to take the 2 month assignment, but it sounds like it would really pay off in the long run. Just think of all the extra WDW trips you could swing with that raise!! ;)

My boss is in town again today & tomorrow, and she wants to take me to lunch tomorrow. That should be fun. I once again didn't sleep much last night - stayed up a little too late to take my Ambien and then got a bad case of the late-night worries. Since my days working as a temp, I always get nervous about taking time off, since more than once I was offered the temp job permanently and told they would just fire the regular employee. :scared1: Now I get paranoid that that'll happen to me... even though I was told the temp that subbed for me last week was horrid! Oh the stories I could tell... but I'll save that for another post, this one is already too long.

Hope everyone is having a great day! How could you not, after starting it with those delicious crepes? (Thanks Donna!) I said goodbye to Emma - again - this morning. They are off to MN to the Mayo Clinic for my brother's knee replacement. His surgery is in a couple days, they will be staying with my grandparents. I hope everything goes well! I miss my little stinker already.

Leeches??? no way. un-unh. couldn't take leeches.

We hadn't looked into Rollins college - do you know if they have a performing arts school there?

Not sure if Rollins has a performing arts school, but I believe they do. I do recall being told it was an Ivy-League quality school, the only one of its kind in the South. I was actually accepted to Rollins but for reasons I can't remember, I chose UCF instead. I think it had something to do with 1. my FL Academic Scholars program and 2. a lot of my friends went to UCF (another d'oh!) At the time, I was looking for a performing arts program so I'm inclined to think they must have had one, since I applied & was accepted.
