Who feels like a Thread-Killer? Part 2

I'm not into sports but sounds like a great trip.

How's everyone this morning?

Howdy-Doodie Threadkillers!

Hope ya'll are having a wonderful day! I had a GREAT time today. Spent the day with hubby, daughter & grandson. Hubby is doing more yardwork - digging that drain. Well, he enlisted the help of our 19 mo. old grandson. He loved riding in the wheel barrel and digging with his own plastic shovel. He was adorable. After that, hubby bathed grandson in our large garden tub. It was mostly splashing, but we got him clean!

After that, DD and I went to a quilt shop while DH took GS for a ride and he fell asleep. When we returned after a quiet hour or so of shopping, he was awake and happy.

DD left with GS to get a few things done, then we all met up for dinner - including SIL. Then we went out for ice-cream and we're having a quiet evening waiting for my sister & BIL to come for the weekend!

Kim- trip sounds great. I don't care what sports team it is! However, if you're into a particular team it's even better! I say, if financially you can swing it - GO! Also, did you notice I reached my 50% goal on exercise? I hadn't posted all week on the thread and I'm at 615 minutes! How cool are we?!

Cruisin - would you not faint if BP was in WDW at Main Street at 10am? That would be way too cool! Looking forward to the trip. Hard to believe it's almost here. TS Jeanne was (this afternoon) heading right for Jacksonville. Now they're not so sure. I plan on it leaving us alone! TS Karl probably won't hit land - Florida could sure use the break!

MaMudduck - SO glad you're back! Thank you for your kind words! It's nice to be back home. Everyone is safe & sound! Hope you had a great time in Atlanta - I've never actually been there, but I hear it's a neat-o town. I've driven through it and it looks spiffy!

Hi BrerPapa! I told Tom about you finding your fiddle and the first thing he asked was "Really!? Where was it?". He said to tell you he's glad it's been found. Sorry to hear fair season is over. I once won a ribbon at a fair. Did I ever tell you tha? I made a (wool) rug. It's a 60-inch round Navy Seal. I made it for Tom's office (Navy guy!). I won second place. The guy who won first did an 8'x10' Last Supper - wouldn't you know!? I was very excited. We have the rug hanging in the office and the ribbon is tucked behind it. I don't crochet, but I do cross-stitch and hardanger. Also, I LOVE making old fashioned samplers with all the cool/different stitches. Working on one right now!

SnowAngel - how ya doin? Glad to see you and Luckymommyx2 are still hanging around! Do ya'll do any crafts? Won any ribbons? Has BrerPapa talked you into buying any squirrel duds yet? Don't worry - he'll keep on trying!

Well, I've been especially chatty. Ya'll take care!

Hi all:wave2:

I am posting from upstairs in my son's room tonight, since my daughter and her boyfriend are down in the family room and my son is out visiting his girlfriend!!

Very fall like day today. Quite cool and gray and dreary out. I still wore my shorts though ;)

Ann, it is starting to come down to the final hours isn't it!!!

I would be very happy to see Brer_Papa next Thursday at the Magic Kingdom at 10 o'clock. I have been practicing my tapping tonight, getting ready for our duet:p

I used to do cross stitching too at one time. But my eyes aren't good enough anymore for that right now. The bi-focals are just horrible and I can't see anything at all. I have an appointment with the eye doctor in October.

Brer_Papa on Thursday I will be the one with the Happy Birthday button, the DIS pin and the tap shoes on :smooth:

well.....it seems like i caught a flu bug....

left work early....PA decides I need some chicken soup and some meds...

she makes me put on my flannel jammies and lie down...

that didn't last long....i got bored...

went to the kitchen and said I'd help make the soup...she said no....go lie down...

so i started juggling carrots....she took them awy from me...

so i juggled celery...she made me drop one stalk...

so i juggled onions.....and she yells at me to go to bed...

i said i'm not going there alone...

she shakes her head from side to side...

i said i'll go lie on the couch...

she comes in with a thermometer...sticks it under my tongue and goes back to the kitchen...

so i take the long propane lighter and get the temp up to 105 for when she come back in...

she yells at me some more...says the soup's on...she's going to get me some meds...

i took a nap....

i wake up and she has soup ready...it was very good...

she gave e some meds and i took a nap...

i woke up bored...

but she's watching me like a hawk.....

tomorrow is the last day for the Albion fair...so i call WS to get the kids to take to te fair....

PA is hoping I am better so I can go....and is using that to make me take more meds...

she even tried the old "Mmmmmmm.....Maypo" on the spoon trick..i am too wise to that one...i taught it to her for cryin' out loud....

anyway....she smeared some vapo-rub on me....i reek now....

and I am still bored...

I'm thinking I should write a book.....

but I should juggle something first....

maybe I'll play my banjo for a while...

I wonder if there's any soup left?

Hello HollyAnn!

(I bet Harriet put warm wool socks around Ozzie's neck when he got a flu...they did that in those days)

Tell Tom "HI TOM!" (please & thank you...)

the reunion with my fiddle has been grand....I called Cookie with the good news....

Kim!! :wave2:

if you can swing it....go on the trip! 'Twould be an awesome experience!

Ahoy Cruisin' ! :boat:

ALOHA! Look...you do the hula....and I'll hula-hoop while I ukelele...

We are WAY, SOOOO COOL Ann!!!! Hey, wait a minute, we're only a few minutes apart! I hope you only signed on for 1,000 minutes - those over-achievers make me look bad. ;) And, CONGRATS on the 50% clippie!!! Looks MAH-velous on you!

Swing it? Sure, but not so sure after tonight. I was balancing the chequebook (;)), and found that a $920 deposit is missing, for over a month now!!!! I can't reach the check issuer until Monday. I'm kinda, a little, upset right now. :(

BP, first, those under-the-tongue 'mom-e-ters are dangerous, ya know. And, feigning illness......tsk, tsk. Propane lighter? I won't even GO there!!!!

Awesome? I believe so!!!

Copy of email today: Here's the latest details the Chicago Cubs have advised us.....They have added a couple cool items to their list of Exclusive events!

* You will be able to take private batting practice and play catch with Former Major Leaguers...Gary "Sarge" Matthews, Hall of Famer Billy Williams, Lee Smith and Jody Davis. * You will also receive an autographed baseball from Hall of Famer Billy Williams (1 per party) Note: I already have one! :teeth: )

I loved Atlanta!

I flew out of Buffalo airport and on the way down I kept seeing signs for "Erie", and so I thought....hmmmm I wonder if I would be able to get a good Squirrel McNugget meal there or not.....

then I decided.....

NOT!

You chose WISELY, Wendy! :p

Hi everyone!

I can't sleep. Rather than toss & turn and keep hubby awake, I decided to get out of bed.

BP, I hope you feel better. It would be a shame to miss the last fair of the season. Glad you're enjoying the fiddle. I forgot to ask you about Cookie. Are you willing to PM me about him (as per your previous request). I have a theory, I'd like to see if I'm right.

Cruisin - it's getting closer! So far, we stand a 50-50 chance that Jeanne is going to leave us alone. I'm thinking happy thoughts!

Kim, sounds like a bummer about the deposit. Here's my theory....subtract the deposit. If it shows up - put it towards the Disney trip. It'd be worth it!

MaMudduck - I agree, the McNuggest would be more than I could bear. However, Erie would be a good choice. You could avoid being "rectangular" this weekend and meet BP at the fair. My luck, I'd show up and he'd be in bed sick!

Hope Mr.MouseFan's computer is up soon!

Poor Brer_Papa, I am sorry that you are sick, but somehow you don't sound like you are too sick ;) I hope you feel better tomorrow!!

Wendy, I think you did make the best decision on those squirrel McNuggets ::yes:: . At least you considered it carefully before you turned the idea down!!!

:wave2: Hollyann, couldn't sleep huh. Too excited about going to the Magic Kingdom for the magic birthday celebration :Pinkbounc

Maybe a little dising time will put you to sleep :p

Hi Cruisin! I'm excited about the Disney trip, but I think my sister arriving at 10:30pm got me wound up! What's your excuse?

:singing to Ann: Lullaby, go to sleep, sweet dreams, sweet Annnnnn, go to sleeeeeeppppp, go to sleeeeeepppp..............Now you know why I DON'T/CAN'T sing. Don't even know the lyrics! LOL

What else can I do? But, subtracting $920 isn't a small thing, ya know? :( I can't even think about the time it's gonna take to get that check re-issued. UGH! (D)h thinks he might have MAILED the ATM deposit envelope with the outgoing mail that day!!! :earseek:   :(

So, why did your Sis show up anyway, so late?

I was just having the weirdest thing happen

I tried to get on this thread and it would not load???? It would say at the bottom, web site found, waiting for reply?????? After a few seconds the last post would flash on the screen and then disappear again??????????

Anybody else having this trouble???

The other threads seemed to work okay

Kim, that is a lot of money to misplace. I know that I would miss it, if it were mine. I can see how he could have put the envelope in the mail with the others, easily done. Doesn't help when you need that money though does it.

Hey Kim - Thanks for the lullabye! My sister showed up late because she lives in Panama City and had to travel 6 hours to get here! Her hubby worked til 4 and they left right away. She's looking at property here in Jacksonville, so hopefully she'll be moving soon!

That would be awful if you mailed the ATM envelope. If the check hasn't cleared, the issuer can put a stop payment on it and re-issue the check - then go to WDW!

Howdy Cruisin! Glad you were able to get on the computer. Are all the wires connected? Jiggle any of them? Hope you're able to stay on!

Oooh....she's getting sleepy! Very, very sleepy! I'm gonna try to get to sleep. I've got to get up early tomorrow!

See ya'll later! nighty-night!

HA! I may sing really bad, but I'm effective, huh? ;) Nitey Night, sweet Ann!!! Say Hi! to your visiting-hoping-to-be-living-close-soon Sister! :sunny:

:p Kim, you did a darn fine job with that lullabye......... you put us ALL to sleep :teeth:

Hope you are feeling better today Brer_Papa and are out fair giggin'

:sunny: have a good day everyone!!
