Costco Park Hopper

Don't they have the serial numbers of the tickets they sold you? Even if you missed out on the $30 food card you could still load the tickets onto your account. I would be PISSED!!!!
It seems it one of those Costco doesn't know anything scenarios. So they sent to another dept that will contact me. Im not holding my breath on that one. Im waiting for UPS to call me back (wait time was 102 minutes!) I want to understand how they lost it.

Costco did contact me and are looking into it. If they can’t send new ones then I’m pushing for a credit of the amount it would cost me to buy the tickets. The days I’m going plus the $30 dining credit would be $822!

I would think they could just ship you one from one of the stores that has them on the West coast? I know that is not typical for Costco to ship something from a store, but in this case, since these were only online one day (and there was a shipping snafu that was out of your control), that they could do that.

I hope they can if they say the vendor has no more to ship. I did ask if Costco shipped these or the vendor due to the odd choice of express shipping on 5 individual packages. They confirmed all online orders were shipped from the vendor. I happen to live in a state they decided to skip even though all states surrounding me has them in store, so online order was my only option.

Depending on how it goes with Costco, you might want to call Disneyland ticketing. Not the same situation, but I bought an inactive EGift certificate from Costco last year. When I called Costco, they said they couldn't give me a refund. I took it up the chain and it was never going to be refunded by Costco. I ended up calling Disney gift card services and they were able to fix it for me. However, I had an actual gift card # and pin that they were able to look up. I realize that you don't have any numbers that can be looked up.

That really isnt good they didn't do anything for you, but Im glad Disney came through for you. I hope Costco does come through and do something. I love Costco so much and don't want to have to stop going there due to poor service. I actually wonder who the vendor is... I hope its Disney

I purchased mine on Saturday...there had been a big display of them a week prior, but Saturday there was only 12. When I checked out at the self check out they brought me the 3 cards in an envelope and told me I had gotten the last 3 they had in the store! I have never done this before so I am hoping it all works. All of the employees there cheered for me and offered to go if I needed travelers!

Any update @VCgroupie?

I saw the instore display this weekend when I went to Costco with a friend. It was very tempting but the only time I could go while they are valid is when it's a small world is typically closed for the overlay. And since that is one of the reason I want to go, it just isn't going to happen for me.

I actually just got a phone call about 30 minutes ago. She said I should have a replacement by Thursday. This is the 2nd call and they have been very accommodating so far. I am pleased.

So Costco just called me again. She said the replacement was issued a tracking number today after the claim with UPS was successfully filed, she was calling to tell me the original missing package suddenly shows out for delivery today. What a coincidence. Hoping it arrives today untampered with.

Update: It arrived and it uploaded and is good to go.

SO happy that your ticket made it to you! And also good to know that Costco was going to make it right, either way. Have a great trip!

Starting to feel the impact of the Costco tickets in the parks this week. Both Friday & Saturday were more crowded than usual. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't crazy crowded, but it wasn't as calm as it has been. I was talking to people while waiting for entertainment and there seemed to a lot of locals who hadn't visited Disneyland in years. One family I spoke to was splitting their three days between summer, Halloween, and Christmas. I'm sure Disneyland will see an increased interest in MK tickets because of these Costco tickets.

As Costco ticket holders learn the ins and outs of how to book LL, I would expect LL availability to be impacted.

My guess is that the increase in crowds is more so related to the Anniversary Ticket offer directly through Disney nearing the August 14th expiration. Many guests definitely purchased those before the release of the Costco deal.

And with so many of our local districts having just two weeks (or less) before school is back in session, I’d say the next couple weeks could be bonkers with guests using up their last day(s).

The Costco deal is so great though that it can be spread out over the fun upcoming DLR seasons!

The last couple weeks of any ticket promotion is always the most crowded. So I'd have to agree that this is the likely culprit. Plus as you mentioned many people are likley trying to sneak in a last minute summer vacation before school starts.

Could be. It seemed like everywhere I went, I spoke to people who said they were there because of the Costco tickets.

Enchant MK are back in the park beginning August 4 and Imagine MK are back in the park beginning August 11.

WDW is seeing an attendance surge as well after a lackluster summer. At DLR, much of the crowd is from out-of-town. Not sure what’s going on but it’s… odd.

Interesting - I was there Saturday night and did not think crowds were bad at all. I got there around 3:30 and found a spot for flag retreat and then chatted with flag retreat friends until about 5. Went and had dinner at Plaza Inn. And then did 5 rides (all basically walk on - Buzz, Small World, Smugglers Run, Haunted Mansion, and Jungle Cruise) before finding a spot for the parade by the train station at about 7:45. I could have basically been second row for the parade on Main Street at that time and where I ended up, I sat on the curb.

Interesting. We arrived within the first hour of park opening on Saturday and the walkways were much more crowded than usual. Kind of reiterates that it wasn't MK holders.
