Hi all!

I admit it, I've become obsessed with planning my upcoming Disney trip! :earseek:

Today takes the cake...I bought a cute 6x8" notebook in which I've written every tidbit possible about the trip. Flight info, hotel reservations, what to pack, good places to eat, preferred seating confirmations, park hours, EMH days, fastpass rides, and touring plans for each day. And then I added Disney stickers on the front to decorate it and even highlighted the sections in the notebook for handy reference!

Please tell me I'm not the only one who gets a little obsessed with planning! I just want everything to go smoothly while I'm there. Does anyone else tend to do this much planning? I'd love to hear stories! :wave2:

PS: the notebook does look really cute and will hopefully be handy!

I have a Winnie the Pooh expanding file that I keep everything in. I have the photocopies of our tickets, printouts of priority seatings, reservation info, and even the Unofficial Guide :earseek: It's sick, I'm not this anal about anything else

Ummm yeah me too!! I write stuff down in a notebook, print out things that I think we would like to do this trip. Yep obsessive. My DH tells me he wishes I took that much care with the house as I do with our WDW trips. I think it has to do with how much moolah you spend and you know that you only have a certain amount of time to be enjoy the place you love!!

Hi again!

Okay, I've just posted in detail about what the notebook contains, if anyone is interested in doing the same sort of thing. It is under the "Disney Tips" forum; the thread is called "Handy-Dandy Planning Notebook." Enjoy!

Oh yeah, I have every book known. I have a 7 page spread sheet I have done in Excel, some of which other DISer's have contributed to. It's so bad my family now calls me Walt. :confused3 dunno why :confused3

I have been obsessed with trip planning for years so you could call me a hard core case I guess... :sunny:

I print out everything, every time I get a better rental car rate or find a better hotel deal i print out to keep. Keep a folder here and have the park hours all printed and EMH so I know when to avoid each park for bigger crowds, oh yes..i qualify for this..but I love, love, love it.... :sunny:

Hi, My Name is Donna and I have a problem with Obsessive Compulsive Behavior..... I over plan... :rolleyes1
My files are inches thick and I dont go until Nov. I just got back from a cruise and my file was like 5 inches thick. I took the whole thing with me in my suitcase. My husband thinks...O Ya I forgot I have a husband. I thought I was married to my computer.

I am an addict too! :guilty: I have an expandable file that is compact so it fits in my pocketbook. In it I have our airline tickets, all resort reservation info, our itinerary for dinning w/confirm. #'s and two packets of Disney Dollars for my dd's. Of course I have Disney stickers all over it. If that's not bad enough. Next to my computer I have a pad and on it I have jotted down tips that I must use (packing, ? for Cm's). Yes it is bad but I have enjoyed every minute of it. :flower:

Hi my name is Kim and I am a compulsive Disney Planner!!

HAHA I am going on my 5th trip, with my sister (her 4th), and her best friend and my good friend and its her first trip. I am just trying to make everything perfect since its her first time experiencing the Disney Magic! We are also staying on property for the first time which makes me excited! I am def. going to check out your other notebook thread.

P/S its good to see others have my problem!! :earboy2:

I'm very much obsessed, so much in fact that my husband is ready to have me committed. I seem to be spending more time on this computer (on this website!) than with him! I can't help it though, I'm just so excited. We're leaving 3/5 for a 7 night trip, staying at the ASMo.. the last and only other time I stayed in the park was in 1999 at Old Key West with my friend's family... so this is our first trip staying in the park together... we went last June but stayed with my parents and their Marriott timeshare...I just can't get enough of Disney planning!

My family says the same thing and experiment 626 mom I think we're married to the same guy! I hear, so what did you do on the house today or did you spend all day on the computer?

I too have this very serious problem! Just as soon as we got back in November I was planning for this November. I have every WDW guidebook ever printed and will wait anxiously for the 2006 versions that will come out around October. I save my itineraries from each year in the computer to review. My notebook and flexi-folder are right beside this computer so I can take notes when I read a helpful tidbit. The closer it draws to November the more I will be whipping myself into a DISNEY FRENZY! My husband thinks I am wacky, but he always brags to everyone about how great our trips are.

I am a totally obsessed planner, but I love it! :teeth: I always start with a notebook and label everything, then I print out tons of info including menus for each of our PSs. After everything is compiled I then bind the loose info with a nifty cover page all decorated with Disney clipart. When we go on large family trips, each individual family gets a copy - they love it. I'm even known around town and at church and have been known to do binders for other families too - lol!!

Hi my name is Lisa and I too, am a compulsive Disney Planner!!

Not only am I planning compulsively, I find it is all I talk about as well...We ate at the local Rainforest Cafe tonight and I started talking about Animal Kingdom and the itinerary I'm considering...then Grace got a pressed penny & I started telling her about all the ones she could get in November and how we have to start looking for shiny pennies...Then Becca had a stamper and I started talking about the passports in Epcot...then of course we went to the Disney store and I showed dh the MYW ticket display and went into the different ways to buy the tickets & different packages, etc. He is so sick of it already and refuses to talk about the trip until after we get back from NC in June, which is killing me. I keep slipping in comments trying to find his preference on stuff--especially resort themes! I think I am going to drive him batty during the next nine months--it's like being pregnant with a Disney baby that I can't wait to deliver!!!!

The obession is getting so bad that when we got our (wonderful) tax return on Monday I stood up in H&R Block and screamed, "I'm going to Disney World!"...I feel like I am eating, sleeping and breathing his planning process and totally enjoying every second...I hate to imagine the letdown when it is all over:(

I am just as bad as all of you. I always get a binder and organize everything by park, resort, etc. It is pitiful. My family thinks I am nuts but in the end they appreciate everything. I have been looking for the binder from the last trip but I can't find it! I think it is in a box that I packed when I moved last year. I do so much research that It keeps the trip on my mind and I can't stop talking and thinking about it. To be honest, these boards are not a help! They make my obsession worse!

Me obsessed, no way. We don't leave until Jan 1st, 2006, and I have already: Booked our room and paid a deposit, bought our passes, picked out which parks we will visit on which days, have my PS's already to book when 90 days rolls around(which is a long way off), and know which SW flights I will book when they become available online. No, I am not obsessed, and I resent anyone who says I am. LOL :earsboy:

I, too, have become obsessed with Disney planning. My Disney trip is not until September, yet since November I have spent a couple of hours a day on the DIS and other Disney websites. I read the Unofficial Guide a couple of times a week. I have even started reading trip reports to Tokyo Disneyland and I have no plans to go there!

In three weeks I will be in Rome on vacation. Other than booking a hotel room and arranging for a couple of tours, I have done no planning. I have not made a schedule nor have I studied up on the major sites. Every time I pick up my Rome guides, my eyes wander to my computer and soon I am back on the DIS.

Disney planning is so much fun because of you, the participants of the DIS. Your enthusiasm and willingness to share keep drawing me back. I love Europe, but I have never encountered a European travel Internet community even half as lively as the DIS. Thank you for being a part of this special community.

:rolleyes1 Me obsessed? never! :rolleyes1
Who am I trying to fool? I booked our trip 11 months early and have been planning every since!
My name is Tracy, and I'm a Disneyaholic!
