Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

Does anyone have photos of the CL refurb?
I don’t have photos but I can tell you that there are new rugs, painted ceiling and trim. Nice bright colors. No ice cream freezer. The beer and wine cart is now on the side room where the big screen tv is, near the side door. No difference were the coffee is or food.

For anyone who has recently stayed at the Beach Club, how was the beverage cooler? Do you think it would keep yogurt and cheese sticks cool enough to remain safe to eat? Thanks!
We got back a little over a week ago. Our beverage cooler did a good job on our beverages. I do believe it would have kept the yogurt and cheese stills safe to eat.

When we left Saturday, there was no scaffolding on the front (arrival) side of the resort. The scaffolding on the back (lake) side goes from Yacht Club entrance all the way to the Beach Club entrance. There are some water view rooms at both resorts with scaffolding outside. I did not see any work happening outside rooms when we were there. The workers we saw on the scaffolding were working on the common areas between the 2 resorts. We did not hear or see any roof work either.

If you are arriving soon & have a resort view CL room, you have a good chance of no scaffolding. If you have a water view CL room, the second hallway, 5215-5241 currently have scaffolding in front of them.
Thanks for all the details. We arrive early June fully expecting SAB still to be closed. Still wishing on that early opening though 😁🤞🏼

I keep hearing on Facebook groups that "cast members" have a date they have been told when Stormalong bay will open. But they aren't allowed to say. They are being very coy and just saying coded messages that it might be opening early. What early means who knows. Anybody seeing stuff like this out there?

I'm considering moving from Grand Floridian (regular resort review) to Beach Club Club Level. It's only $150 more for CL, so it seems like a no brainer! I guess only thing holding me back at this point is SAB being closed.
I don't recall anything extended like this since well before Covid, and I seem to remember that being 5-6 weeks max. This might be the longest, most thorough outage and refurb they've done.
Agreed! I've definitely read that this is the longest closure/maintenance refurb since SAB opened.

Woah!! Maybe there is hope after all! How "early" is early. 👀🤞

How often do they normally do works on the pool like this

Typically they have had short closures in January, maybe a month or 6 weeks every couple of years for routine maintenance. On a few occasions there has been something that needed immediate attention, so it might be closed for whatever time was needed for that. The resort will be (45…nope) years old this November, so they are doing a much more extensive maintenance.

Bad math… 35 years!

Has anyone tried to reserve a cabana recently? I was wondering if they’re available for booking yet. Of course, we’re not exactly sure where the cabanas will be or how many…

Somewhat along the lines of cabana booking availability, I eyeball Hurricane Hannah's future operating hours occasionally as at this point you can toggle the calendar through early July, but so far no change there either. Sometimes that can be an early sign as they start to load real operating things back in the online information (or sometimes it can not be updated at all, lol).

I have been doing this too, but I haven't been able to get any times to populate for HH. :(
