Mickey and Minnies Runaway Railroad

We are planning a trip June 6-10. Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railroad is a new addition since our last visit. One person in our party does not do well with roller coasters such as Incredicoaster or Matterhorn. How does this ride compare?

it's more like Rise of the Resistance or for a tamer comparison, Alien Swirling Saucers? (though obv not going in circles, just movement intensity wise) Sorry, saw this was Disneyland.....like To Mater's!

It’s not a roller coaster. If they can do something like Toy Story Midway Mania, they could do Mickey & Minnie’s

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railroad does not go up and down at all (thought there may be times when the projections make it feel like it is). As others have mentioned, anyone who can handle somewhat jerky front-to-back and side-to-side movement should be fine.

I think it depends on the person. Everyone in my family felt it was very jarring. Not smooth compared to Rise (in our experience.)

Its not a roller coaster in any sense of the word and babies can ride.
There are a couple spots that move you back and forth a bit like during the Conga.
Overall its smooth and slow with screens that have the action and there's some loud noises and wind.

One way I like gauging intensity is by the safety restraints - for MMRR there are no individual safety restraints and instead only a lap bar for the whole row (around 5 people or so). As others have said, it's not a coaster but a trackless dark ride.

A poster on Reddit who works for Disney said that in surveys, MMRR ranks as the #1 attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and among the top overall attractions at WDW, among children 5 and younger. The DL version is essentially the same attraction.

Its a modern dark ride. Like Toads Wild Ride etc but at a much grander scale.

I ride with someone who has pretty sensitive motion sickness (doesn't do any coasters either) and they are fine on MMRR. They do look down during one of the scenes (in front of a screen, it's quite obvious when it's coming) but otherwise are fine. The car jerks a small amount (on purpose) but it's not too rough.

The main think about MMRR is sensory, it's extremely loud and visually intense. But beautiful too! It's like being inside a cartoon. Ride mechanics are smooth and we've taken sensitive kids and older adults on it multiple times. Only complaint from the kids was the volume, so we offer them their fireworks earguards now.

It jerks back and forth/side to side. I rode it yesterday and while on it, I was thinking about my daughter with a bad back. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with a bad back. That said, it's not like a roller coaster at all. You can probably find some POV ride throughs on YouTube. I get motion sickness now and I didn't have a problem on it.
